Hollander Brian N Ms DDS

Brian did a bone graft to prepare me for a dental implant, and made the entire experience painless and stress free. The graft took perfectly and my implant went in without a problem. Brian also extracted my wife’s wisdom teeth, and she told me that Brian was wonderful during the whole process, and made sure that her recovery was pain free. Brian is also a great guy.

Very good experience with Dr. Hollander. I had multiple dental implants with extensive surgical work. Very pleased.

Yesterday I went for my implant surgery. Dr. Hollander and his staff are phenomenal. As with my surgery in December when I had a tooth removed and prepped my gums for an implant, I went thru the implant surgery without ANY pain, discomfort or even soreness! I was amazed! Not even any swelling… no need for pain meds or even Tylenol. My husband was shocked. I would highly recommend Dr. Hollander!

Amazing periodontist! I cannot say enough. My general dentist referred me to Dr. Hollander for «crown lengthening»…I had an old crown on a tooth… general dentist took it off and prepared the tooth for a new crown but then determined there was not much tooth left… so off to Dr. Hollander I went for a consultation.
He examined the tooth and agreed that there was not much tooth left. He explained my options (go forward with the lengthening, do a bridge or place an implant… he even drew pictures to make sure I was clear and could make the best decision for me). I decided to do the implant. I have thus far only been through part one… the removal of the tooth and preparing my gums/​jaw for the implant… but my experience has been good. No pain or discomfort and Dr. Hollander even called me that evening to make sure I was doing OK.
As in Steve C’s review… I could not agree more. Dr. Hollander is professional, kind, caring… his staff are all knowledgeable, caring and patient as well. They answered my many, many questions and the office is clean and professional. They were flexible with appointments and they are working with my insurance and letting me know what to expect financially, rather than a big «surprise» at the end.
I still have the actual implant surgery to do after full healing of my gums/​jaw, but from what I’ve experienced thus far, I’m sure the implant surgery will be successful and go smoothly and that I will be pleased with the end result and long-​term solution. I’m referring anyone and everyone I know that needs or may need a periodontist to Dr. Hollander.

Brian Hollander, DDS and his staff are dedicated, caring, and extremely skillful professionals. After researching with friends and meeting with a couple of dentists, I chose Dr. Hollander because of both patient recommendations, his professional achievements, as well as his ongoing academic work at UCSF. I initially came to him with an unknown abscess associated with my lower back molar, the cause of which my dentist could not locate. Dr. Hollander quickly checked the area and diagnosed the situation as a cracked root. He patiently explained the options I had including root removal (he had a fancier name), installing a bridge, or placing a dental implant. I decided on the latter. He discussed in great detail the implant process with me, then directed his assistant to provide me with a custom consultation which included review of dental models, instruments used in the process, etc.
Dr. Hollander’s staff is also great. From the warm smile from Toni that greets you when you enter the office, to Vicki who does a great job in providing hygienist work. Last, but not least, Peggy (who assists during dental procedures) does a great job of ensuring that all your questions are answered, explains each step of the dental procedures, and provides excellent patient care and comfort.
They worked with my insurance company, were flexible in scheduling appointments, and completed the work within the expected timeline. While getting an implant is never a fun thing, I am pleased with the expert job they did placing my implant that looks so natural and more equally functional to my original tooth and highly recommend them for any periodontal needs.
