I wish I could award zero stars. My girlfriend just bought two $ 5 quick picks from Mike’s Liquor tonight. When I got home I noticed the lottery tickets had mentioned a «free raffle ticket to follow», however, these«free raffle tickets» never were given to her at the time of purchase. I immediately went back to Mike’s Liquor store to claim them. The 73 year old clerk had a stack of these Raffle tickets that he stole from other paying lottery customers. I told him that they are not his as they belong to the paying Lottery customers. What a crook! He then gave me 2 single raffle tickets and I went back home. I got home and the CA lottery website said that we are entitled to 10 free numbers for each $ 5 purchase. The clerk gave me a total of 2 raffle numbers that should have been 20. I went back down and he refused to give me any more saying that I had to bring my girlfriend back down to claim them, which I later did. He only had one of my 10-number printouts, and was forced to give me a 10-number printout from someone else’s $ 5 Lottery purchase. I promised the clerk that I would report him to lottery officials and I have made good on my promise.

If I could give this place less of a review I would. I always feel dirty after going in there because of the drug addict losers who run the cash registers and their clientele. It started when they made me pay cash for lottery tickets — clearly a scam per the CA lottery division. Today we tried to check our lottery tix and the machine was malfunctioning. The Indian man behind the register was so rude and lazy and«un american» as he refused to use his functioning machine to check for us. I vow to NEVER shop there again. Do yourself a favor and skip this place and go somewhere higher class.

I was recently in the area and wanted to pick up some Vodka before heading to the East Bay. Mike’s Liquor is one of the few liquor stores that cater to the alcoholics of Novato. Parking is never an issue, you can park on Grant Ave. or First St. The store itself is ran by the parents of a kid I went to high school with. The store is always well-stocked and much cleaner and safer than what’s available in Richmond. The older gentleman that works there is always polite and somewhat friendly. He took the time to card me, which I didn’t mind. I paid for my half-pint of Vodka. and was on my way. One of the nicer liquor stores in Novato and they have all the beer, spirits, and wine you could need.
