Myron L. Donesky, D.D.S.

I was terrified of dentists and the bills that came along with visiting them. I was told by a previous dentist (Dr. Nguyen in Terra Linda) that I had 2 teeth that needed root canals & crowns. I also needed more work on other teeth as well. Fearful of the cost and feeling very overwhelmed, I never went back to her office and refused to admit that my teeth were that bad. I also couldn’t afford any more work with her. ($ 3,400+ for just 1 tooth which I ended up having pulled after I paid for a root canal and a crown — that never fit right or stayed glued in).
Dr. Donesky isn’t your typical dentist. I hadn’t been to a dentist in over 5 years because of the fear I had and my past experience with Dr. Nguyen. After years of putting it off I finally decided to try to fix my «horrible» teeth. I searched online and read the reviews here on Unilocal for Dr. Donesky. I called and spoke with Stephanie.
She instantly made me feel comfortable. She didn’t put me down or criticize me for not being seen regularly by a dentist. She went out of her way to get my previous records and called my insurance to get my coverage info (Delta Dental PPO). My initial call with her lasted over 10 minutes because I was so concerned and had tons of questions. I also made appointments for my daughter (Ashleigh) and my husband (Martin). I can’t thank Stephanie enough for going out of her way to make me actually want to come in and see them.
I ended up having my husband & daughter both be seen by Dr. Donesky first since my mouth was the worst (at least that’s what I was previously told by the other dental office). Ashleigh’s teeth were in great shape. They cleaned them and made a follow up appointment to put a cap on a tooth that was shaped weird (strictly cosmetic — my daughter wanted it to look better). Martin saw Dr. Donesky and was beyond happy with his honesty and attention to detail. He explained to my husband what his options were for 1 tooth he needed work on and even referred him to an Oral Surgeon who was in our PPO network (which will save us money since he is an «in network provider»).
Finally it was time for me to be seen. Dr. Donesky and his assistant Charlene both made me feel comfortable. They talked to me about all the «issues» with my mouth and after my visit I walked away shocked. In a fantastic way. I didn’t need $ 4,000 worth of work in my mouth like I had previously been made to believe. The 2 teeth that supposedly needed root canals and crowns, just needed fillings. I have never met a dentist who actually tried to save me money. He was just being honest and not trying to make money off of my mouth. My total bill to fix my entire «horrible» mouth, came to under $ 125.00 for my portion. And, I was told my mouth wasn’t «horrible» like I had been made to believe. I got to my car after my appointment and actually cried because the news was good this time and not bad. Talk about a relief!!!
My family is going to be life long patients of Dr. Donesky. I thank God for finding him. I seriously cannot say enough good words about this man and his office. I can’t recommend this man and his office enough. Honestly!
Thank you so much for being an honest dentist. It’s rare to find a dentist who puts their patients first and not their bank account. Thank you for being that rare find!

Dr. Donesky has been our dentist for over 8 years and I highly recommend him and his staff. I get complements on how beautiful my teeth and smile are and I owe it all to Dr. Donesky. His cleanings are thorough and he is the kind of dentist that really cares about your oral health. My son started seeing Dr. Donesky when he was 5 and he loves going to the dentist still. They have toys for the kids and really promote good dental hygiene for the whole family. I have recommended Dr. Donesky to several of my friends and they have all been very happy with his work.

I am over due for a lot of dental work & have had a couple of unfortunate sessions with dentists who I don’t want to see again. Myron Donesky’s office proved terrific in helping me deal with an insurance mess. Donesky himseldf was personable, professional and candid in my consultation. Then I had a cleaning by Sophia, who did a great job and is a terrific conversationalist. Office has a beautiful view of hillside greenery. I recommend to anyone between Petaluma and San Rafael.
