Inept, slow and rude employees, frequently unmanned checkout lines backing up into the aisles of the store, making up ‘our policy’ as they go along(such as carding for using a debit ATM bank card) and the place is always a total disaster, disorganized. Been going here for years to get supplies for my movie gatherings and after recent hostile treatment by ‘Enrique’ I’d rather go out of my way to someplace else and pay more, if necessary.

I agree with the review from Anne P. Don’t come to this store unless you plan on dying waiting in line to check out. They hardly ever open up more than one register, regardless of the looong line of people waiting to check out. And the persons doing the check out are very nice, but seem to be not smart enough to have graduated from high school.

What one has to realize is that when one enters any Dollar Tree one shouldn’t expect a red carpet treatment. These stores tend to be located often in mediocre shopping centers that once upon a time had a prime time. This place is not exception. Once a small grocery store in a center that was near its deathbed, this store brought new life back. Sure the interior has stained carpets and the aisles are not always neat, but it offers variety of goods at a great price. Of Novato, this is by far the least crowded of the two. It’s workers are usually friendly and the lines are much shorter. They also have more in stock here than at the one in the Diablo shopping center. I usually come here for school supplies as I can get enough materials for 28 students under 30 bucks. It’s also a great place to come to for birthday bags and Christmas wrappings. I also recommend that if you see something you like buy multiples of it, otherwise it will be gone.

Understaffed. I’m in line for EVER. This place SUCKS. Things are a dollar because they’re made by child slaves. People come here to die in line.

this Dollar Tree has it’s aisle section tagged with whatever’s there, seldom see this at Dollar Tree. not much of what i wanted was in stock. clean, clear aisles. fast checkout, even with one checker 3.5 stars notes: –stocking up on reading glasses which seem in short supply lately.

I went here for the first time tonight and it was the most amazing shopping experience of my life. I got two coffee mugs, 4 dish towels, a pet hair remover, a deck of playing cards, and a pizza slicer for 7 dollars. There aren’t even pizza slicers on Amazon for less than 6 dollars.

Very spacious and ample parking– much more relaxing than the San Rafael location. This is a great spot to pick out a cheap wedding card(let’s face it– the couple cares more about the check inside than the card itself), nail polish remover, manila envelopes, school supplies, etc.

Came here looking for a frisby and sure enough found it in no time. The place is generally neat and easy to navigate. Lots of little things that you can use anytime of the year as well as seasonal items(4th of July). Only thing was the cashier was a little grumpy but everyone has their bad days.

This store is always in stock with a variety of product. Usually I find it to be recovered fairly well. My biggest complaint that has caused me to walk out on more then one occasion is that there almost always seems to be a line a no one is ever called or shows up to open another lane. The worst part is the associate who is ringing people up is never the same person and never seems to care that there is a line. Nor does this person try to speed up at all. It is amazing how much more patience people have if they think you are doing the best you can. And I am not sure what the policy of the store is about calling back up or about the other person sotting on their bum but why bother having people fill out the survery if you don’t want to do anything about your behaviors? But other then that there are some great deals and often times they will have an item that the store on Redwood runs out of.

My three best buys are the reason I go to the Novato Dollar Tree: Dial Basic Soap(3 bars) and Pears Soap(single bar). For some reason, these products are very difficult to find in mainstream drug and grocery stores. My third«must have» is Pepsodent Toothpaste. For the longest time, I thought Pepsodent had gone out of business. Thanks to Dollar Tree I can keep my bathroom well stocked on toothpaste and bar soap for a fraction of what it would cost to buy them in regular grocery or drugstores. That is, if you could find them there.

Love this place! I come here for random crap all the time. I have a pair of sunglasses that I bought here over a year ago. Seriously, $ 1 sunglasses that have lasted me longer than any other pair I’ve ever had. Not too mention some pretty fancy brands that didn’t even meet up to these standards. Why? I dunno. It’s like I keep buying nicer ones because I don’t want to wear those cheap ass shades but I keep them as back ups and always end up going back to them! This time I had about 30 min to kill while waiting at the salon in the same shopping center. I remembered I need a sewing kit. I was out of thread… but I knew the dollar tree wouldn’t carry it. I debated driving to safeway… then decided to do a search on my trusty smart phone for an arts and crafts store of some kind. There was nothing within 5 miles so I said screw it. I’ll go look just because I have the time to kill. Guess what! They had it. A freakin $ 1 sewing kit. Come here for anything, really. I mean REALLY. I found ovulation monitors, water bulbs for plants, candles, food, clothing, and candy galore for $ 1! It doesn’t get any better than this.

If you love candy this is the store for you. This store has tons of candy. I liked the candy I just wanted more of something else. If you love candy you should go here. Update: I have been here a few times since then and it is way better than before it has a little bit of everything. I like to go there to buy affordable frozen fruit to make smoothies. There are tons of cleaning supplies and much more great place to have a set budget for and go over and still not spending too much money.

This review is based on the service I received from Richard on a Sunday morning. Very personable and kind individual. Also, the store is jam packed with goods.

If only I had a dollar tree in my backyard, I would be picking the fresh bills off it’s bark. Caring and fertilizing the plant until it’s fruitful bills just falls on the branch and into my empty wallet. If you are lacking cleaning supplies, dishes, toys for the kids, snacks for the office, or bathroom items this should be on your list of stores to stock up on. Especially giving that we(Americans) are still in a recession and brand name items aren’t cheap. Take my word, you will be holding bags of goodies and supplies when you step away from this store.

The Dollar Tree has some good products. Products I buy there regularly are greeting cards, party paper plates, disposable foil pans, cat toys, and cleaning product(they have a good selection of name-brand cleaning products). I’ve also bought drug-store items like tylenol and antibacterial ointment — I wasn’t going to buy them if they were made in China, but they were made by American manufacturers. They’ve recently expanded their selection of frozen food. My husband loves their garlic bread. One day last summer, I looked all over town for lemon ice(Costco used to have it). I couldn’t find it anywhere. Last week I spotted it at Dollar Tree — $ 1 for four single-serving cups — just what I was looking for.

I’m shopping for christmas ornaments and dollar tree is the way to go. They have everything for a dollar(which is obvious) but the ornaments are actually up to trend and beautiful. I’m really big on christmas trees so I take my camera to macy’s every year to get ideas to put together a designer Christmas tree. Dollar tree actually has ornaments that are very very very similar to macy’s which cost about $ 10 each. I also like to buy the plain ball ornaments and throw together a art and carft day for my nieces, nephews and friends to decorate till their hearts desire.

So this place is very impressive. About the size of a grocery store and just as well stocked. If you need: detergent, cleansers, wedding stuff(I got my flower girl’s basket, the glass broken at the end of my ceremony, flower petals, etc for my big day from here), glassware, Halloween stuff, etc etc. They’ve got it! I highly recommend this place and I am planning on going there again this week ;) My mother in law once spent over $ 100 … which means alot of items at the dollar store

I do not care if you are rich or poor, this is THE best store in town! Where else can you buy greeting cards for one dollar each? Oh, or a box of 20 Christmas/Holiday cards for one dollar? Yes, the entire box! They have shampoo, conditioner, body wash, aspirin, cleaning supplies, food(snacky stuff), toys, silk flowers, CANDY … if you are going to catch a movie, grab your candy and soda at The Dollar Tree on Entrada in Novato! A big box of Hot Tamales, Mike & Ikes, Bottle Caps, etc., or candy bars two for a dollar. The employees are so very kind, and friendly. Oh, and there is ample parking. When they save«Everything is $ 1» … they mean it!!! Some things are two for a dollar, so go, what are you waiting for … it’s a shopaholics dream store!

You know the BEST thing about The Dollar Store is…(drum roll please)… if you have to take a side dish to someones house for dinner buy your serving dish and utensils at The Dollar Store because you can leave the platter, dish, utensils with your host and hostess… I hate having to worry about picking up my stuff after a party… when I’m done I’m done and I just want leave and the last thing I want to is to worry my host or hostess with trying to find something to put the leftover in… and that MY friends is the BEST thing about The Dollar Store!
