Undoubtedly the worst coney I’ve ever had. For the first time ever, I wasn’t able to finish my coney. Ive had average coneys and I will at least finish them. The coney chili was bitter. The loose meat was dry and inedible. It’s as if they left a burger on the grill for hours then chopped it up into uneven pieces. First, the meat in a coney is not a chopped up burger. Second, it’s shouldn’t be burnt and dry. Third, the pieces should be roughly even. We also had French toast which was visibly undercooked and inedible. The saving grace was the bacon which was nicely cooked and a somewhat larger portion than at other places.

Ordered a texas French toast and that were the worst French toast I had in any restaurant . The restaurant service was fast. Ambience is good. But won’t come back again here I guess

I always get the same thing every time I come here. Mini Greek salad and the Athenian pita. It’s always perfect every time. The décor is very modern. It’s a very nice place that’s always clean.

The restaurant is nicely decorated and very clean. The service was fantastic, pretty sure the waitress was a mind-reader. We had our food within six or seven minutes of ordering with zero errors on the various special requests myself and the three others in my party had. The food was D.E.L.I.C.I.O.U.S. High quality gyro meat and perfectly crispy fries with their tasty tzatziki. I’d give this place six stars if it was possible.

I love this place. Simple, easy, quick, clean, nice staff and yummy food. Even when they’re super busy they keep their standards, too.

First time I’ve been here in many years. Had an excellent double spinach and tomato cheddar cheese egg white omelette with sliced tomato. all items very fresh tasting and the coffee is pretty darn good as well. Service top notch. Much fancier interior décor since I was last here as well. I’ll be back. M83 Mark

Service was good, food came out quickly, but I was super disappointed that the swiss cheese in my omelette was processed cheese slices, not real swiss.

I like this coney. I like the location and the ambience(for a coney. It’s not a greasy pit of despair). Definitely the home of my absolute favorite Greek dressing. They nickel and dime you which is a pet peeve of mine.

I’ve visited this coney multiple times and each time its just, eh. Pretty typical coney… food is always decent but Im never blown away by much of anything. Wait staff is good, food is ok, restaurant is clean, coffee is served in bowls with handles(bonus!). if you’re looking for something quick, this place will get the job done.

I like coming to Athenian very much! Let me start with the service and the staff. The staff is very nice, welcoming me in, and leading me to a table. It took not even 30 seconds until I was asked what drink I wanted. Shortly after that, our very nice server came to our table and gave us a minute to think. So overall, the server and staff were both very nice. So, in the window there are these signs that say«Free WiFi». That’s great, except that the WiFi doesn’t work. I attempted to connect to their network with my iPad Air, but absolutely nothing worked over their network. That is pretty much my only complaint about Athenian. When it comes to the food, my cinnamon French toast was AMAZING! As soon as the food was placed down on the table, it smelled amazing! I immediately thanked our server and then proceeded to eat. The food was so good! I will definitely be coming back soon, and would recommend it to anyone!

So bummed. This place is really hit or miss lately. I was there today — ordered the Nutella crepes and a side of hash browns. My food had obviously been sitting in the window awhile because it was not even warm when I finally got it. The crepes were burnt and we’re basically pancakes rolled up with a spoonful of Nutella in the middle. The hash browns were a plate of mush. There was also a piece of old grilled chicken in them. So gross. The waitress left my check on the table as the food was brought to the table and didn’t come back to check on me until I was getting up to leave. At that point she only asked if I wanted a box. When I told her no and that I was happy with the food she just said ok and walked away. When I went to the front to pay, the woman running the register was so busy talking to someone else about the layout of her house that she did not say a word to me. She put her hand out for me to give her the bill and then again to take my cash. What a huge disappointment.

Service is great. Food is typical coney island fare. A restauraunt of this caliber should have a food cost of around 30%. This means that of the total income less food costs, and derive percentage. I would estimate Athenian to be in the mid teens. Moral of story, overpriced!!! We used to be regulars. We won’t be back.

This place is our go to breakfast spot in Novi. The restaurant usually gets pretty busy around 10am. Solid food and service.

Quick, cheap and pretty good. I tried the healthy start omelette and made it unhealthy with gyro meat instead of the chicken. How do you go to a coney place and not have something Greek? Close to the mall and not far off the highway. Looks like they have some limited pastries and pies for next time.

Pretty typical Coney Island, no complaints! A bit more expensive than a Leo’s or a Plato’s. Nice juicy gyro meat too.

This Coney Island did it’s job. For that, it got three stars. There wasn’t anything that made this visit any different from all the other coneys islands in Southeast Michigan. I mean the important things were there(i.e clean facility, quick bussing of tables, fast service). Our waitress said the same scripted thing to our table every time she walked by… but she topped it off with a smile and a warm up of coffee. So I’m indifferent to the service. As for the food? The skillet was delicious but I felt that it was a bit overpriced for the amount served. So… Three stars. :)

Seriously the best coney island ever. GOT eggs cooked perfectly, tasty sausage. They’ve redone the patio with new furniture and looks nice

The staff is friendly which is why the 2 stars; otherwise it would be 1 star. Ordered their Meatloaf special — unfortunately, not a good choice. The meat was very pale looking and no sauce whatsoever. Took a couple of quick bites and was not appetizing at all. The mashed potatoes were cold. Also came with green beans that had a funky taste. Overall, definitely not an item that should be on their regular menu.

It’s a coney island with a coney island menu. Hot dogs, Greek salad and chicken lemon rice soup. The difference here is that the décor is far classier than the average hot dog and chili joint. It’s the kind of coney island you can bring your mom to. You’ll also note that the prices here are considerably more expensive than say a Duly’s or a Pete’s. I ordered the gyro and it was good size but toppled the $ 8.00 mark and that was without fries. Service here was very good but I did have to shake my server down for a coffee refill when we were the only customers in the place. The servers were doing their between-rush duties. No big deal, she was very friendly. Coney for the most part is coney. While I have no problem recommending this place, I probably won’t be back.

We went for breakfast here again with some friends and I sampled the breakfast burrito as it is one of my hubby’s favorites here. I must say, YUM-O! It might be my new favorite also! Upon arrival, it smelled amazing and was enormous(I had half left to take home). I ordered it without sausage or ham and extra crispy bacon. They got it just right. It was stuffed with bacon, hash browns, scrambled eggs, and cheese. It also comes with sour cream, salsa, and sausage gravy if you like. I prefer the salsa, it is perfectly spicy and cuts thru the savory richness of the burrito. HIGHLYRECOMMEND!
