Contemporary Imaging Associates

I’m very pleased with this place — i was informed by my doctor to get a CT scan (cat scan) of the brain. At the age of 29; yes i was a little nerves just thinking about the procedure. Anywho… when i walked in, i was greeted by 3 ladies at the front desk and of course informed to fill out some paperwork; so be sure to come in 10 mins early. My wait wasnt long at all and the nurse was very kind in fact which made me feel comfortable; after the testing i was informed results will take 2 business days, then i was handed a DVD with photo shoot of my brain. It was totally cool!

My husband had to come here for A Ct scan and another type of radioactive test. Of course I didn’t go back there with him, but the office was easy to access, ample parking, and boy was it beautiful! Waiting room should have more than 8 chairs though!

I didn’t have a bad experience, but I felt my case could have been handled more professionally. I arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment, as instructed, for registration. At that time, I was told I had canceled my appointment. (I hadn’t.) Apparently another patient with the same last name had an appointment right before me. When she chose to cancel, they canceled my appointment as well. This was surprising to me and could be construed as a privacy issue. I was asked to come back 3 hours later for a rescheduled procedure. I agreed, since I had no choice.
When I came back, the appointment was uneventful. The staff was friendly and the office is beautiful. The MRI techs did a good job of trying to make me relaxed and comfortable.
I am a bit disappointed at the lack of follow-​up now that my results have come in. I don’t know if the imaging associates have the authority to recommend that a primary care physician order further testing or not– but if they do, I wish they had done so.

I don’t know that I’d ever be ‘happy’ to be going here, but the experience was as pleasant as possible. The office was a little challenging to find, as it was further down the street than my GPS thought. It’s a large building with lots of windows.
Inside, the main waiting area is open and airy. The associates at the sign-​in desk were patient and helpful. When I was concerned that my appointment time was 20 minutes past and I was still waiting, someone very kindly explained to me that more tests had been ordered on the previous patient and it would just be another ten minutes. It wasn’t even that long, thankfully.
When I finally met with the technician, she was respectful and compassionate. I can’t say anything for the results, but I doubt they’d have stayed in business more than 20 years if they weren’t doing the basics right ;)
