I liked the sesame chicken with shrimp fried rice lunch combination — really good. I will go back.

This is the first time I had ever ordered from here. I walk into the restaurant where there are no lights on with the front door open. I had ordered the general tao combination plate, orange chicken combination plate, crab Rangoon, 2 extra egg rolls, and chicken low mein. The combination plates come with chicken fried rice. This is the worst Chinese I have had in along time. The only reason that I am giving one star is because the orange chicken was good and the portions are big. The general tao was disgusting my fiancé would not eat it and ended up eating mine with me. The low mein was really dark like it was soaked in something and was not good at all and did not have fresh tasting vegetables. The egg rolls which my fiancé loves we’re terrible from here! They didn’t have much taste and the vegetables tasted old. The chicken fried rice was ok but was also really dark in color and didn’t have carrots or anything other then chicken in it. The crab Rangoon tasted like cream cheese I don’t think that there was an crab inside of them. We will not be ordering here again.

Many people like the takeout at this joint but I will warn you NEVER to eat in. We couldn’t even get water to drink. It tasted like something that been stored in the fridge with the pitcher of water. YUCK! It was freezing cold in the restaurant on the day we were there and once the food was served the owner/server never came back. The bathrooms are a mess and didn’t have any way for you to dry your hands. Should have left when I discovered this. The food is good but nothing spectacular. Nothing worth these nasty eating conditions. I will never eat here again, takeout or eat in.

I had to run to the Novi Post Office and remembered there used to be a Chinese eatery south of 9 mile Rd from a while back. I could not recall its name. But I remember the strip mall it was in was near a Pizza Hut and a Blockbusters. I drove down there and see much of the stores there are gone. Its a real shame really. I found the old Chinese eatery I used to visit and its now called Dragontown. Its still carryout and still szechuan, cantonese, except they now tout mandarin and hunan cuisine as well. I’ve never heard of the name before. I asked the guy if this was a new place or did they just change names/owners. He did not seem to know or maybe he did not understand me. I left the matter alone and looked over the menu. I really can’t recall the eatery that was there before but I remember one thing the prices were decent. And here at Dragontown the prices are still decent. If you want for lunch they have a whole page of Lunch combos with nothing over $ 4.95. And Dinner combos with nothing over $ 7.95. Over all its the same ol same ol Americanize Chinese grub. But It definitely smelled pretty good in there. I was craving some Lo Mein and Dumplings. I ordered a pint of Vegetable Lo Mein for $ 4.75 and I also ordered Pan Fried Dumplings $ 4.55. I was impressed that they give 8 pcs in an order. So often when I get dumplings anywhere else Its overpriced and I seem to only get 4 or 6 for about $ 5. Another person came in after me and ordered something with Curry. The old guy behind the counter smiled at the other customer and gave him his order and all I smelled was fresh hot curry. Finally my order was done and I was so hungry I stood there and opened the dumplings and took one out with my hands and ate it on the spot. Dragontown IS standard Americanized Chinese fare. But from the look, smell, flavor of my food and the Smell of the food from another customer I was quite pleased. I hope to stop back and visit again maybe next time I can try some of the Curry Fried Rice or Vegetable Subgum(one of my favorites at most Chinese eateries). They list Pad Thai on their Carry Out menu but I am not sure if I would try it. It just seems weird to list 5 diff Thai Noodle dishes at a Chinese food place. They have a website with more info and photos of combos they sell…

Dragon Town used to be our«go-to» place for Chinese take-out, but it changed hands a year or two ago and has really gone downhill.

Decided to give this place a try and just wasted $ 40+ hard-earned bucks! Ordered: Chicken Lomein, fried rice, Moo Goo Gai Pan, Buddha’s Delight, Chicken w broccoli, and Hot & Sour soup. The only eatable item was chicken and broccoli. Chicken Lomein: since when chinese started using spaghetti noodle for Lomein? Come on! Hot and sour soup: the soup was actually extremely sweet and lumpy, beyond thick. It was so bad I could not even have one spoon full. Other than liquid, I did not see much of other ingredients in it. Buddha’s delight: missing baby corn and deep fries tofu. The dish was actually sweet! What the heck? Fried rice: they should rename the dish«soy sauce colored salty rice.» Enough said. The place appeared slow in business and out dated. Cost cutting so obvious in every dish ordered. This is my first and will be last ordering take out from this place.

Best option for affordable Chinese take out. Good lunch and dinner specials that include egg roll and rice. Crab rangoons and Mongolian beef always hit the spot.

We really like this place. We carry out from here frequently and have always gotten good, fresh food that is well prepared. Deep Fried dishes like sweet and sour chicken or General Tso’s are crispy and light, the vegetables in the stir fry dishes are tender but not mushy, and the eggrolls are perfectly seasoned.
