Godiva Chocolatier

Being an avid lover of Chocolate (specially Godiva), it saddens me to say that the quality of the Trufflelata at this location. On my recent visit I got a Mint Chocolate Chip Trufflelata, or as it would seem an Icewithflavorlata. The beverage seemed to consist of only ice mixed with some flavor with whipped cream on top. I was truly disappointed by this experience.

So when I was in Hong Kong, I was introduced to the amazing Godiva chocolate soft serve ice cream. I’ve been craving it ever since I came back from HK and guess who has the soft serve Godiva ice cream?! You guessed it! The Godiva store in Twelve Oaks Mall! I have only tried the chocolate soft serve and I LOVE that one, but my friend tried the chocolate and vanilla bean swirl and she really enjoyed that one. If you are ever roaming around Twelve Oaks and craving something to cure your sweet tooth, head over to Godiva and they will hook you up with one of their amazing cones topped with ice cold chocolate goodness! Don’t get me wrong, their truffles and chocolates are great, but the ice cream is to die for! Get yours today!

My bf got me the cutest bear along with a heart shaped box of chocolates for valentines day. I sat and ate the box with a glass of mascato while he took the kids to see the spongebob movie this weekend. No cares in the world while eating this little piece of heaven.

Godiva is always delicious. That is unquestionable. Whether this is the best Godiva in the tri-​state area, or whatever is the most apt analogy for Michigan, is somewhat questionable. I’ve been here maybe half a dozen times in the past year or so and every other time I’ve had a great service. Every other time I’ve had medicore employees. I won’t pretend I’m not being snobby but when you expect me to dish over $ 2 for a piece of delicious truffle from the store I expect the employees to be up to standard.
I will be going back for my monthly chocolate but I think I’m done with the quite divine frothy drinks that I used to treat myself to whenever I went there.
That said, Godiva is about as good as it gets with chocolate.

Chocolate? Yes, please.
For a quick chocolate fix at the mall, Godiva will do. Their chocolate assortment boxes also make perfect gifts for the Aunt Trudys on you list… you know, those people you don’t really know what to get but you have to get something.
Godiva carries a large assortment of truffles, chocolate covered strawberries, boxed chocolates and more. I absolutely love their chocolate lava truffle and their chocolate covered pretzels. Sure, they aren’t the most amazing chocolate brand around but they’re kind of close.
This particular location is great because of the variety of truffles offered and because of their great staff. I came here on an especially busy weekend in December because of a promotion they were having for the holidays. Despite the madhouse, the manager, Christina, was able to help me out with finding the right assortments I wanted and making sure I liked how they were wrapped up. Its stellar customer service like that which keeps me coming back.
Also make sure you sign up for their rewards program. You can earn freebies including a free truffle once a month. Free chocolate? Yes and thank you!

I was in the mall a couple days ago and couldn’t resist stopping in. Especially because I remembered I have the card (which is free) that allows me to get a free chocolate every month. Score! I used that to get a mint chocolate ice cream truffle. Yummy! They had the cutest little ice cream cone truffles. I got one of each flavor… heaven! I love chocolate! Godiva is good stuff!

First off, learn to embrace your love fluff and inner eater when you come to this store. My bf bought me a 32 truffle set and I ate them without regret within about 4 days. DELICIOUS! Their iced drinks are also a treat. They even sell chocolate covered strawberries and let you customize your chocolate box. This place definitely brings out your inner queen. Go (diva)! So what if a few make a home on your thighs? At least it brought a smile to your face!
