I came here thinking it was going to be good, boy was I wrong. When I first walked through the door I was expecting to get greeted and asked how many people. That didn’t happen, she just walked past me saying follow me, and you can’t say they were really busy. Now let’s forget about the hospitality and get to the food. The food was disgusting and tasted old. The place had a weird smell and the waitress’s were very rude. I started a plate and said screw it, I’m not gonna get food poisoning over 7.99 and got up to pay. Of course I had to wait 5 minutes to pay because they waitress’s are nowhere to be found. She finally came over and wrote up the bill and I gave her the money, I believe a dollar more because it was 20.10 in total with my sister. Of course I wasn’t going to leave a tip for a bad job and bad food, so I found it fair to give her the 90 cents, for she didn’t do anything but bring our drinks. I paid her and took a step to leave and she told me, No Tip? I said, «no, what do you need a tip for? You just brought our drinks.» Then she proceeded saying no dollar or two? And I said screw you and gave her a dollar. This is not how you treat customers. I told her the food wasn’t good and her service was bad, so why would she need a big tip. A dollar is 5 percent of 20 dollars so that’s what she gets. They come begging for money. This place should close down for good. If you want good food go to the motorcity casino buffet. Best food around. Would never recommend this food to my friends, let alone my enemies. It feels like you got a brick in you after you finish eating. Absolutely disgusting and very disappointed.

First of all lunch buffet is 7.99 until 330pm but dinner buffet is 13.99 and starts at 4 so if you come in at 335 you still pay dinner price even though dinner price doesn’t start till 4. Secondly the food is stale and cold. All the breads were so hard we couldn’t even eat them. The chicken nuggets could be used for hockey pucks and the fries were cold limp and soggy. Took the baby 15 min to knaw through one chicken nugget. The best part of the meal was the soda. So disappointed, why cant they have fresh hot foods since we pay outrageous prices? I have been here on 3 seperate ocassions and i have always had bad luck with the food. Hopefully the fortune cookie has something good in it.

Was here Wednesday for lunch, it’s been awhile since we had been here thought we would give it a try again. The place has gone downhill since it reopened, the food is over cooked. The waitress acted like get a soda refill was a burden. I used to love the fried shrimp but these were like rubber, the cocktail sauce and Tatar sauce are on the salad bar and not labeled. The Gen Tso’s tasted like vinegar and rest of the dishes were just nasty.

I had been here a few years ago to enjoy the buffet… and at that time, I thought it was amazing. Granted at that point in time, it was hangover food… and I will say that when i came back to this area, I was excited to go back to here and check out how the place was. Needless to say… I don’t think I’ll be coming back here after my last encounter. I went there for the lunch buffet, and I was very underwhelmed by the selections that were to be chosen from. The won ton soup was horrid. Here’s a won ton… here’s some yellow-oil-flavored-water. I mean, how hard is it to mess up Won Ton soup? The food was dry, it had been sitting out a while… and while that happens, you can only start to imagine just how long it has been sitting out. I’m sorry… but I don’t think I want to spend my money here until they fix the quality of the food.

Horrid… it was like last night’s leftover food was brought out. I got there when they open and the food was so poor that l didn’t even bother eating there. I used to go to this place years ago and the food was pretty good. I will never waste my time going to this place again. And after reading some of the recent reviews and looks like I’m not the only one that feels this way!!!

Enema buffet should be called. Do not go here, cheap but not worth it at all. Unless you want to clean out your system fast.

This place might just be the worst buffet I have ever been to in my entire life. I’ve had better chinese food from the frozen section of the grocery store!

I used to come here over a year ago. Now the food is so horrible, stale plastic sushi, old bbq ingredients. Tomatoes in the buffet is rotten, salmon is old and dry, they never filled the crab legs dish during my visit. Nothing is fresh here. Add to it its $ 14. Save ur money

Very expensive as far as buffets go. On fri-saturday its $ 14.99 a person plus tax without a drink, for dinner during the week its $ 13.99. It was nice going and they had a nice atmosphere but very pricey! I go to a buffet thats $ 12.00 with a pop and everything. Food was good here though and they had the best crablegs ive ever had as far as buffets go! They also had this delicious crispy chicken that was amazing! Salad bar and desert bar had great selections and sushi bar had big variety! :) nice place and atmosphere! :) i would definitely go back but perhaps for lunch during the week for cheaper price.

While this place could not be considered Gourmet by anyone’s standards i dont think it was as bad as some of the reviews would suggest. The food throughout was hit or miss. Some of the food was amazing and some of the food i was a little afraid to try. The atmosphere was nice. I have no complaints with the way the place looks or the service that i received. The waitress was very nice and i got my refills without having to ask. I will admit that some of the food was a little scary. They have a sushi bar that i think had a good selection of sushi. They also have food that you can select and have cooked fresh on the grill. These two things i have no complaints about other than the fact that some of the sushi(especially any sushi claiming to be fried) sits out a little too long. They have some improvements to make for sure but not a horrible place.

I JUST left out this place… don’t do it to yourself. All. The reviews say this place sucks, why risk it? First of all, I am a self proclaimed Chinese food expert. The general Tsao’s chicken was from yesterday, along with several other chicken items. We asked for a Dr Pepper and a Sierra Mist with no ice. We got the Dr Pepper and a Coke with no ice. She came to the table and asked«Sierra Mist, no ice?» And nodded in approval, but at that point we figured with the language barrier to just let it go. That’s when we got up to try the food and discovered it was not fresh. Some entrees were fresh and good, like the salt and pepper shrimp, steamed clams, spring rolls. But ¾ of the things we tasted were not fresh ATALL. When we paid to leave, I tipped her, but her undeserving arse came back and told us in broken English that she deserved more because she gave me a refill! She was promptly dismissed from the table! Here’s a tip: learn English and learn to follow instructions and tell your management to stop serving old food! This was the second worse Chinese buffet I’ve eaten at in my 33 years… and I’ve been all the way to Egypt. Get it together!

Dirty. This place was filthy. The food looked stale and like it had been sitting out for a long time. The buffet was not well stocked. Few labels on the food, and the label tags were dirty. Cooked Vegetables were limited to one broccoli dish, one mushroom dish and green beans. Lots of fried food. The Mongolian style bar b que was stale looking and I didn’t see a chef. The sushi didn’t look too bad. When we were done eating and full — that’s when they brought out the crab legs. Ugh. Would have enjoyed them. I was afraid to eat the dessert. The cheese cake was dried out, the other things did not look appetizing. I was afraid to take the soft serve, as I know those things have to be cleaned frequently and well. The bathrooms were atrocious. Crud all over the seats, The men’s room did not have a working stall, and my son said a door fell off its hinges when he touched it. On a good note, the sushi was pretty good for buffet sushi. The wait staff was attentive. The big spinning table was cool. The murals on the walls were nice.

The food was awful! It had definitely been sitting out for awhile under the heat lamps. Tongs were being used for multiple foods, and the egg tarts were sharing a space(nearly touching) some other food with cheese. The prices at 3pm(14.95 I believe. They said they were charging dinner prices because they had crab legs out) were outrageous given the selection and quality of food. There are so many good Chinese places in the area. Skip this place and find something better!

Pros: +Good Location +Good Seating +Attentive Staff Cons: –Food Variety –Food Quality –Cleanliness –Staffs children running around screaming –Needs cleaning What happened to this place? Before they closed to remodel it wasn’t that bad the food wasn’t all that but a few choice items stood out and the price was good for what you got. Now after the remodel the place can be described as China meets tacky online order catalog. For $ 13.99+tx&tip, I expected the buffet to be well stocked at 5:30pm on a weekday, its not like I was coming 30 minutes to closing. The options have gotten cheaper, bye-bye shrimp hello Texas Toast. The«sushi» just try again please. Everything in the hibachi bar looked like the meat was dry from sitting out for so long. Everything on the actual buffet that was edible was deep fried, egg rolls, crab rangoon, cod, fries, chicken nuggets although sitting out all day. And it took forever for refills on the food to come. As for the«new décor«Led strips everywhere, the water fall just as dirty but now lit up. New LOUD flat-screen TV’s blast the sounds of TV into the restaurant clashing with the traditional flute music. Last but not least a newly installed huge round table(seats at least 20) with a spinning massive Lazy Susann in the middle and a water fountain inside of that. You just have to see it to believe it, but don’t eat.

I would not even give this place a star if possible. Do not waste your money on this place. Overpriced and salty food were on the menu this evening with a side of regret. We spent $ 30 for 2 plates of stale food.

I am a fan of the now departed American radio humorist Jean Shepherd. If you are from the Midwest, you might not know who he is. This is the fellow responsible for the movie«A Christmas Story.» That’s the one about the kid from Hammond Indiana that wants a Red Ryder BB gun for Christmas. But Shepherd is really known for his decades of hysterical story telling sessions on WOR radio in New York. In one of those stories, Shepherd talks about his early days in the Army Signal Corps. He had been trained to discard the remnants of his food in a particular GI fashion. He talks about being served SOS. That is an acronym for creamed chipped beef on toast; an army favorite. For those of you that don’t know what SOS is, the first S stands for a form of excrement and the second S stands for common flat roofing material. Hence S on a S. Anyway, Shepherd was taught that in the army, you are supposed to discard whatever is left over from a «meal» into two waste containers. One is marked«Edible Waste» and the other is marked«Inedible Waste.» The«Edible Waste» is sold to farmers to feed the animals. Shepherd tells the story about how he got KP duty for dumping the entire contents of his uneaten tray into the«Inedible Waste» container. While it was satisfying at the time, it was not appreciated by his Sergeant. Well after trying Gourmet Buffet today, I wish they had a can marked«Inedible Waste.» This has to have been the worst Chinese Buffet I have ever experienced. There was not a single redeeming dish served at this place. One the one hand it was relatively cheap at lunchtime. On the other hand, it was all inedible. The won tons were made of some form of lead. The wrapper was thick and hard. The stir fried dishes were tasteless and greasy. The dumplings resembled tennis balls. The egg rolls and spring rolls were the wost I have ever had. And they were served cold. I was totally afraid of the sushi, which appeared to have been sitting out for just a few decades. I hope nobody that reads this ever has to experience this place. I am truly sorry I wandered in there today at lunchtime. YUCK…
