I grew up in this area and have lived here again for the past three years and never heard of the Nutley Little Theatre until recently when we saw a production there. The theatre – the barn – is super cute and the production was good. Some of the cast did a very nice job both acting and singing while others left a bit to be desired. That said, the experience was very pleasant, and we’ll support this community theatre in the future if they’re doing a show we’re interested in seeing. Tickets are reasonably priced and it’s an intimate space, which lends a good feeling to the entire experience. It’s particularly nice to support local community arts programs.

I saw an excellent performance of «Lobby Hero» last night. The acting was impressive. Make sure you have good GPS to find this little place! I picked up my ticket 15 minutes before the show and was literally able to put my feet up on the stage, that’s how close I was. This little venue should be packed nightly for the great quality productions presented here.

We caught a great local performance of the play«Split» here on a Friday night. I’d no idea this place existed if it weren’t for one of my classmates who was acting in it; an old barn near the park in Nutley, nestled down a small dead end street amidst the tall foliage. It’s been modified with about 40 seats on stadium style risers, lighting, balcony for the sound and lighting crew, and a small hardwood stage down front. It was a great show, and the theatre had a sort of ambiance that made it so. Donations are welcomed to maintain this volunteer theatre organization. Thumbs up!

tucked away in Nutley is an extraordinary little theatre preforming year round theatre that is sometimes challenging and sometimes a favorite oldie. A must check out. Great prices, no bad seats. a word though: no kids and the space requires you going up a flight of stairs.

Nutley Little Theater(or «re») has been in Nutley forever. It is a Community theater where you can feel like you are part of the play. They put on live theater, most of the plays are by well known playwrights, starting with Shakespeare, John Patrick Shanley, Edward Albee, Paul Rudnick, etc. No season is a copy of the previous one. Shows run 3 weekends and best yet, it only costs $ 15. Some shows are for«Adults only», like this season’s «The Little Dog Laughed». I have seen many plays there and have rarely been disappointed.
