I got a gift card from my wife for a shave, it was my first shave and last time I’m getting a shave from a stranger!
I was cut on my upper lip badly, the person that cut me said it was a small cut but when I saw the amount of blood coming out I freaked out and I wast too anxious to continue.
I’m shaving my self for over 20 years and I believe I cut my self not more then 3 times, I just didn’t think it would happen within the First minute of my shave at this place.
Look at the picture and reconsider going over there for a shave!

I’ve been living in rockland all my life. Best barber shop in the rock. Steve is an excellent barber! I highly recommend him !

We took our 18 month old baby to get his her done and it was an absolute pleasure… Sam was so sweet and patient and the best part, he did a great job! Very happy with the look, the service, the atmosphere. Definitely going back!

I never go forward without a plan. Since the start of the New Year, there was a crime wave involving slashing attacks in NYC. Apparently, the beauty of slashing victims in my country’s largest city doesn’t mean a thing to those responsible. I had to take some advice from loved ones and put my plans [to visit NYC] on hold cause I don’t want some complete stranger [who never held a blade in his life] ruin my beautiful face, whether it be a criminal or perhaps jokingly, an inexperienced barber.
One day, I took time while visiting the Palisades Mall to take a short bus trip to Nyack. The bus driver pointed it out before I went out the bus (giving him a thumbs up) and into the barbershop. I had been to barbershops before, but it’s my first time I’ve been to a traditional old-​school style barbershop. I went to the receptionist, who pointed me to the barber for a shape-​up and offered me water or espresso coffee (I took the water). The barber started with the electric clippers to define my arcs and proceeded to put hot lather on my nape area to finish up the shape-​up. Finally, he finishes up with witch hazel and Proraso Aftershave Splash with eucalyptus and menthol. Normally, I bring my own aftershave, but I didn’t have to do it myself knowing they got Proraso, which I have used in the past.
Once I pay the receptionist for the service, I brought myself some Proraso pre-​shave cream to use at home whenever I shave to get that miraculous Florentine cool. I’ll come back next time if I need a rare barber shave or a recently introduced manicure service for $ 10. As I was heading to the bus back to the Palisades Mall, I can feel the menthol cooling down my neck as the rest of the day is nice.

Finally… a barber shop worthy of being called a barber shop!
It’s almost impossible to find someone who can cook up proper ‘fade’ cut in Rockland county… until I met Sam! Service: A+, Skill: A+, Environment: A+, Class: A++
This place as good as it gets. I’m used to getting my hair cut from uptown nyc to Art of Shaving and this place does all with style and grace. I walked in hoping they don’t mess it up and I walked out as a fan. Nice, comfortable and roomy spot with real barbershop setting. Place is must-​go for all guys who wants to ‘experience’ proper cut and shaving. You want cheap, fat cut then this is not your spot. If you actually CARE about how you look and being treated… look no further.

Great customer service, friendly professionals who are subject matter experts.
Bottom line: Best Barber Shop in the tri-​state area.

Awesome Barber Shop a real nice place to get a cut well worth it! I have been in Nyack for about a year and I’m really upset that I have never walked in this place. Every one is very welcoming you can pay with your card… Definitely will be a regular here!

Best haircuts and shaves you’ll ever receive. All the guys provide great service. Flori is my regular and does a superb job! Easy to get an appointment with them because they are very flexible with their schedules and the atmosphere is really cool!

I’ve passed this place dozens of times always looking to try it out. This isn’t a hole in the wall that you come across on any street. Open the door and you feel you stepped into another century. Hard wood floors, treated wood counters, leather seats and an offer for an espresso once you walk in. I’ve gone to a few local barbers around the area but this one makes its mark. I recommend to anyone who wants to try something new. You can’t go wrong with these guys. Worth every penny.

Best barbershop I have ever been too. And I’ve been to a bunch from Brookkyn to Nyack. Shop is well done and feels like a old style men’s club. The guys really know their stuff with all the time traditional to up to date cuts. The hot towel shaves are a must to try, especially for the younger generation who didn’t really grow up with them. I get my cuts from Flori but Steve (the owner) and the other guys are all aces.

If you care about the haircut you get and want to look respectable, this is the place you want to go. They give you a solid half hour of cut and care about the quality. So if that’s the type of thing that matters, check them out. Ask for Steve or Carl and they’ll get you properly sorted.

Steve does a great job. Place looks great — has a modern yet retro vibe. My wife says best haircut I’ve ever had.

Of all the places I’ve been to in the Hudson Valley, DSZ Barbers Inc. has got to be the most impressive place I’ve ever been.
I knew I found a gem upon my first sight of the shop. Walking around Nyack a couple months back, I noticed DSZ & decided to take a step in to check out this classic, old-​time NYC style shop. This place is finished with beautiful wood flooring & old fashioned leather fitted barber’s chairs. This place just screams classic. The kind of place Elvis would have gone to.
Have you ever been to a barbershop that plays classic rock in the background & offers you an espresso right when you walk in the door? If you haven’t, you’re selling yourself short. At least on the experience. For a quality $ 29 cut, this place easily has my business. Not long before they take over the Hudson.

I came in late Sat night for a clean shave and I could tell from the warm greeting this was a good shop. Very professional and you can see the pride they have. Will def come back for a cut next time when I’m in the area.

There are just so many amazing things to say about this establishment.
Carl, who had done all my haircuts in the last 4 months, is always friendly and always over up advice and suggestions. Very personable and professional.
The shop is always clean and you are always greeted with a friendly hello. They even offer you a drink while you wait for your appointment.
On top of that, they always have great music playing in the background.
My bill is always $ 29 and I always leave happy.

Too bad I can’t give them more then 5 stars. I didn’t think I can look more dapper until I walked out of the most hip barber shop around. Thanks Carl!

Got my haircut here today. Probably one of the best cuts I’ve had and overall a pleasant experience. The barber, the owner, and everyone I encountered there were very friendly and professional. For $ 29 for a haircut, well worth the price.
I’ll be coming back, even though it’s not a short drive from Fort Lee

I got my haircut here the first day they were open. Very happy with the cut. The space looks amazing, kind of place you’d like to just stay and hang out in. Good stuff, I’ll definitely be back.
