Very clean… eggs, bacon and potatoes were delicious! They offer healthy choices, avocado, whole grain bread and more. The staff are very friendly! Will definitely stop again when traveling this way!

The is good but a bit pricey. Definitely not your everyday diner, but every now and then if you really don’t feel like cooking your own breakfast, and don’t mind an inflated price for some eggs, check it out. Two egg sandwiches cup of grits and one OJ. $ 24

Food is what you expect from a diner, but with better service and a friendly atmosphere where it seems like everyone is a regular! Really enjoy this place, they have nice seating, and are always crowded on Sunday mornings, always a good sign!

This place has it all contemporary comfort food. With family friendly prices. We come every weekend that we are in town. Just the best breakfast fare in town. The staff is wonderful like you are coming home for dinner. After a long trip away. I bring any friends in from out of the area just to feel the love.

We loved this place and would definitely come back for breakfast or lunch if we are ever in the area again. Some people mentioned high prices, but considering that New York is expensive and the portions were really big. I could have split mine with someone and been fine. Our group ordered chocolate chip pancakes, sausage, eggs, a Reuben sandwich, and fries and everything was yummy and fresh. Very classic diner food but high-quality and obviously made on site. The woman that greeted us at the door – might have been the owner– was really friendly and even gave us a place to store our luggage(we visited on the way out of town) and offered to keep an eye on it for us. I think she called me sweetie too. Our waitress was very nice and attentive, coming back to check on how everything was several times during the meal. A breath of fresh air after being in NYC where people aren’t exactly bursting with friendliness! I echo what everyone else said about this place being super clean. There were tons of locals who were obviously regulars, chatting with the wait staff about their families and what not. The perfect, small-town diner!

I ate at Hogan’s for breakfast and had fried chicken and french toast(my version of fried chicken and waffles). Hogan’s did not disappoint. It’s a quaint, clean, inexpensive, unassuming family restaurant(«diner») that does a very good job serving the basics. I will be back, thank you Hogan’s!

Soup was great, other food was very good as well. A little surprised at the prices, though. I would call it a $$ instead of a $. Still pretty reasonable, just want expecting it.

I grew up going to Hogan’s and this site keeps up the fine tradition of solid diner fare, ably prepared and served well. The pricing compared with diners on Long Island is really excellent.

Great place where they always greet you with a smile, the food always warms the tummy and the taste buds, and they send you home with money still in your pocket and a free homemade cookie. A real family place. Only wish they were open for dinner because I’d be here for that meal too.

Had breakfast here the other day. After reading the reviews I was looking for a real good breakfast but was so disappointed. I had the hungry meal special for $ 10.75 and I guess it means you’re hungry when you leave. Also it was not good. A couple of pieces of burnt bacon, 2 dried out scrambled eggs and 2 dry pancakes. The wait staff were very good and that is why I gave 1 star. Will not be back there for breakfast again.

Was in for lunch and AGAIN, it wins. Staff is always super friendly, attentive, and food is top notch. The turkey burger was served with ample pickles, lettuce, and tomatoes. My wife had a turkey panini. Both were excellent. They have a huge menu and are more than willing to be flexible.

One of the best breakfasts we had over our vacation. We got the hungry man breakfast since we had a long road ahead of us and subbed chocolate chip pancakes for regular. Those were probably some of the best pancakes we’ve ever had. The rest of the breakfast was good though the bacon was seriously overcooked. For me to leave bacon on a plate is unheard of. I thought it was weird with all of the people mentioning how clean this place was but now I get it. VERY clean, all table accoutrements neatly stacked, etc. I guess when you’ve eaten in enough diners, you do notice when one sticks out a little more on that appearance front. So an extra star for the cleanliness and good prices for the amount of food.

Wonderful, homey diner with tasty huge portions and an efficient, friendly staff. I ordered the western omelette with tomatoes, cheese and avocado that comes with home fries and toast. Fluffy with lots of tomatoes, chucks of avocado and cheese. So large I only finished half! My 17 yo son ordered a Belgian waffle and fried chicken. I’d never heard of such a combination. Chicken was crisp outside and moist inside. We’re from the South. We know fried chicken and this was tip top. We were in a hurry but never mentioned this to the staff. Didn’t need to. Everything moved along smoothly. They took their serving cues from us. We left with full tummies, a smile on our faces and plenty of time to spare. I would recommend this original, family run diner to everyone. Not gourmet but immensely satisfying home cooking. Just what we were looking for. I’ve never written a review for Unilocal despite being a long time user. Signed up just for this one.
