Auffenberg Mazda

Worst experience ever. Sales person is super nice when you buy the car. However, finance manager, Mark, is aggressive and rude. I went to the dealership twice to cancel my extended warranty and maintenance plan. Every time I was told that my principle will go down after 6 – 8 weeks. Now it has been more than ten weeks since the second time I went there. My principal still hasn’t gone down yet.
I try to call the dealership instead of driving there (it’s a 40 min) drive for me. I can’t get hold of anyone, finance manager, sales manager and general manager. None of them picks up the phone.
I feel like I’m totally scammed. Do not ever buy a car here !!!

I paid $ 30,xxx for my vehicle from auffenberg in 2014 ac and heating don’t work I didn’t buy a warranty it had a cracked rim … if you don’t buy a warranty then don’t go here bc they coukd care less about himans. sales. etc I have a $ 500 a month car payment on a vehicle I hate it’s so frustrating I’d rather own a $ 5000 car w a freaking ac than deal w this place

I have bought two VWs from Auffenberg and have been very satisfied with the service and customer care I have received, so I had no qualms taking my mother to potentially buy a new car from Auffenberg.
We ended up at Auffenberg Mazda because she was specifically interested in the Mazda 5 van advertised on their website. She was especially intrigued by the price, because the price was very competitive compared to other dealer websites we had viewed in our research.
At Auffenberg Mazda, we test drove the van and although it was more than she really wanted to spend, she was willing to make the stretch to get the brand new van, considering that used Mazda5 vans were in the $ 15,000 range and this price was $ 18.795. It clearly states that the price of $ 18,795 include a $ 500 military rebate, which she knew she wouldn’t qualify for, but $ 19,295 was still much cheaper than any place else we had seen.
Imagine our surprise when, after wasting an hour of our time processing her application with the finance manager, our sales rep offered to sell the van to us at $ 21,xxx!!! We said absolutely not, we wanted the e-​price on the website, and he said that he couldn’t meet that price.
We left the dealership, and were chased down by the sales manager who stopped us to apologize. I asked him why the price was shown so cheaply on the website, and he said that price includes every applicable rebate that anyone could possibly qualify for, including military, recent college grad, etc. It seems to me that a recent college grad can’t probably qualify for a military discount too, so the $ 18,795 price was pretty misleading. I told the sales manager that I believed this was misleading, and he said, «Well, every car dealership does it.» I have to disagree — we specifically ended up at Auffenberg Mazda because your website price was considerably cheaper than any other dealership, and given our previous experience with Auffenberg, we felt we would be treated fairly.
I have a screenshot of the van and the price, which mentions only a military discount. We should have been able to buy the van for $ 19,295.
Needless to say, we went and bought the Mazda 5 at another dealer. My mother won’t be back, and I am pretty sure that my husband and I won’t be back to Auffenberg either. We have a daughter turning 16 in May and planned to buy her a car, but I am pretty sure it won’t be from Auffenberg.

Worst dealership ever! Service department is terrible and doesn’t do the work they say they do. Mark the finance manager lacks customer service skills, takes over a week to call people back, gives different information to everyone that asks the same question, is rude and condescending. Share this so people don’t waste their time with this joke of a place. All its good for is rising your blood pressure!

I just purchased a new 2015 Mazda 6 here today and the entire process went very smooth and everything was well explained. Alex Wiltse was my sales person and explained every feature of the car in detail and made sure that I knew how to use them on my own, he even set up all my bluetooth features and made sure they were working. I would recommend buying a car here to anyone, it is rare to find a car dealership that you can tell cares more about their clients than their commission. I will definitely be coming back here for future car purchases!

My wife and I purchased a new Mazda from Jason Hall, at Auffenberg, in June 2013. We are very pleased with the vehicle, a CX-​5. We were very happy with the way Jason treated us, too, over several visits to the dealership, before purchasing. He was very knowledgeable, and never pushy, which we really liked. We would recommend him, for anyone in the market.

I took my AutoTrader Trade-​In Marketplace price quote here, and they refuse to honor it (or even offer a price at all). If they are this hard to deal with when I’m trying to use a program they are participating in, I’m not going to find out how they are when negotiating a price to buy a car. I frequently buy and sell cars, but I won’t be coming to the Auffenburg dealerships for my next car. I also won’t be bothering with AutoTrader’s Trade-​In program either. One good part — the staff was friendly and made time to look at the Trade-​In offer certificate.

My experience with Auffenberg Mazda was terrible. I like the vehicle that I purchased for my wife but the staff, specifically the sales managers, appear to have little genuine concern for customer service. If interpersonal intelligence (empathy) is not an inherent personality trait for an individual in sales, they should either find a new profession or invest in acting classes.
My requirements for the new Mazda CX-​5 that I purchased for my wife included a specific trim (Grand Touring AWD), specific color (Liquid Silver Metallic), specific packages (Tech) and specific options and accessories (Remote Engine Start). The dealership performed a dealer trade and presented a vehicle with all the requirements except remote start. I was promised, in writing, that a remote start would be installed by the dealership and I would have everything that I wanted.
We closed the deal shortly after Christmas. I provided a trade-​in and paid the remaining balance plus tax, title, and license in cash (over $ 20,000). I was asked to call back and schedule a time to have the remote start installed.
When I made arrangements to drop the vehicle off to have the remote start installed, I assumed that everything would be ready upon my return the next day. When I returned to the dealership I was told that the auto shop that performs some of their work did not feel comfortable installing an off-​the-​shelf remote start on that vehicle. I appreciate the integrity displayed by the third party business in this case but the only option remaining was to install a factory remote start at the dealership. This should have been the first option of the dealership but for reasons known only to them, they choose to outsource the work.
I was told that in order to have the remote start installed at the dealership, I would have to pay $ 250. I protested because this was not the agreement that was reached when I signed the papers and wrote my check. After speaking to my sales representative at length, the sales manager, Bill Marlow, entered the office and stated flatly that my only option was to pay $ 250 to have it installed or they would reimburse me $ 250 (some imaginary number that he claimed was baked into the overall price of the vehicle — I have looked at my invoice and nowhere is there a line item for $ 250 for remote start).
Mr. Marlow’s comments included such gems as «take your $ 250 and install all the remote starts that you want» and «Do you think I’m going to eat that additional $ 250? I don’t know you, you’re not my friend». His classless display prompted me to call him a name that I reserve for people that I hold in the utmost contempt.
I left the dealership to drive home but before I reached my house, the sales representative called and informed me that Mr. Marlow had made a call and was told to order the part and have it installed at the dealership with no additional cost to me. My only guess is that Mr. Marlow spoke to someone with integrity, common sense, decision-​making ability, or some combination of the three and was ordered to make this situation right. I’m sure Mr. Marlow, after acting like a complete fool, understood the need to shift into full crisis avoidance mode.
Unfortunately, all of this unnecessary nonsense only resulted in Auffenberg Mazda honoring the original deal made with me. Automobiles are commodities. I can find a similar vehicle, with similar features, at a similar price from many different dealers in the area. What keeps a customer coming back is the experience. I don’t look to soak the dealership, nor do I seek special treatment or favors. I believe that I made an honest deal with a dishonest business and I had to fight to make them honor their agreements. The sales manager attempted to intimidate me and treated me with disdain for simply insisting that an agreement be honored. He may get his way when dealing with weak-​minded individuals or with those that choose to avoid conflict. This approach may result in short term gain for Auffenberg but the end result is loss of business from that customer and anyone they happen to speak to about a new car. I have purchased two new vehicles from Auffenberg in the previous 12 months but they will never receive my business again. I hope their peace offering wasn’t meant as hush money. If so, it didn’t work. I’m happy to share this story with as many people as possible.

We recently visited Auffenberg to see about purchasing a new vehicle. We thought (and were told by the sales manager) we would get the best deal because last year Auffenberg let my wife drive off the lot without oil in her car after an oil change. This was a hard pill to swallow but we tried anyway. They did nothing to give us peace of mind after that incident and would hope they could at least help on a new car since that was their suggestion in the first place. After checking another dealer we found we could get a better deal even after we told them what Auffenberg did to our vehicle. I would not suggest Auffenberg for the purchase of a new car and make sure if you use them for service to ask to check your dip stick! What they don’t understand it that if they would have at least checked our car thoroughly we wouldn’t have these issues with their business! They chose self preservation over customer satisfaction! And to get peace of mind it still cost us $ 8K. At least we can say we didn’t go to Auffenberg!

This was our first new car. We had such a great experience. And every time we bring our car back in, they are helpful and friendly. I would definitely buy from them again.
