Amazing philly cheese steak. I had never ate here before so I got an entire philly. It was huge and tasted amazing.

Subs were cold and thrown together. A Philly steak is hard to eat cold! I mean even the cheese was barely melted. The French fries were hot and good. My kids had turkey and cheese and again the cheese wasn’t melted. Probably would of enjoyed just the bread and fries. Very likely we won’t be back.

I love the steak n cheese! I always get a foot long and keep the second half for dinner. It’s a pretty cheesy sub, and what really sets it off is their own pepper sauce. The pepper sauce is mayo based. That allows for the flavor of the peppers without the burn! No one else has the pepper sauce, but even if they did, this place has the perfect combination for a lot of flavor and a hint of the heat. The fries are good; the onion rings are good; cannot make up my mind on which side so I get half and half. They are a little greasy, so I put them on napkins to get rid of the grease and wait for them to cool off… they are cooked to order just as the sandwiches are hot and fresh from the grill. I go there about three to four times per month. Great food at a great price, and always friendly!

Been visiting here for years. Ownership has always been very friendly and personable, and the Philly cheesesteak will change your life. Highly recommend!

Service was fast people were nice the sandwich was OK it was big and filling but there was so much cheese so much you could barely taste the meat was very over powering the onion rings were very oily and couldn’t even finish them would I try it again… Probably not

Best phillie steak sandwich I’ve had. It’s made with Italian roast beef, cheese, and their own pepper sauce. The onion rings are a perfect compliment. Can’t beet the price for lunch.

I’ve been here more times than I can count, and I’d consider myself an «adventurous» eater, but I get the Philly every time… because it’s amazing.

Ok so I thought yummy sandwiches for dinner, as I do like the philly sub but just don’t have it often, until I see the process of the making of the yummy sandwich… here it goes– Owner and employee sitting at table when I walk in– employee goes behind counter to take my order– another employee gets up from table with owner and begins cooking the meat for my sandwich WITHOUTWASHINGHISHANDSORPUTTINGONGLOVES!!! Employee that took my order then goes to the fry station and grabs a hand full of fries to throw in the fryer– he was just handling dirty money and the register– he did not wash his hands either!!! Then he begins to handle the bread for the sandwich —still no gloves, no hands washed! I turn to the owner and ask about gloves… she shared that they don’t «have» to use gloves due to the temperature of the heat on the food items — — -hmmmm paying customer asking for gloves on the cooks — -too much to ask — –guess so ! Maybe the heat kills all the nasty crap on the employees hands but— Presentation is everything! The health department doesn’t require gloves at that stage of the food preparation — but I do! Refund was requested and granted! Also I was wished a very Merry Christmas to boot!!! Now where is another sandwich shop on Hwy K? FIREHOUSESUBS– gloves on all food handlers!!!

Meatball and philly weren’t impressive in any way. What was even less impressive was the horrible service. Took 35 minutes to make 2 half size sandwiches and all 8 people that placed their orders at least 5 minutes after me had their food at least 10 minutes before I did. This place is a joke. They did however give me some free cookies because of my wait. My guess is that they were made sometime in 2001. Thanks for the rock hard cookies. I’ll never go back. Oh and while I was waiting I heard them take a delivery order. About 10 minutes later they realized that they no longer offered roast beef and had to call the customer back to tell him. I’m sure that customer was just as happy as I was. I’ll never go back. I really wanted to like it too.

I have been coming here for years and the quality of food is ALWAYS awesome. If you want a toasted/grilled sub sandwich you can’t find better in the area. Always fresh too. Service is always phenomenal. Like a family owned restaurant every time. They know and remember us an are always the absolute definition of customer service. Highly recommend and won’t stop coming regularly!

I have been eating here for years and have only ever had one thing. That’s right the philly. This is the best philly sandwich I have ever had. You can get a large Philly meal for around $ 12 with fries or onion rings and a drink. Ask for extra pepper sauce to dip the fries in.

All I have had here is the cheesesteak and it’s AWESOME. It’s very filling and has a spicy sauce on it that makes it unique. The family that runs it is very friendly. The onions rings are a must try with your sandwich.

The cheesesteaks are AMAZING — get a beef one with jalapeños on white bread and you will not be disappointed. The frosted brownies are homemade and absolutely to die for too.

I hear everything is good but I can’t help but get the cheese steak and onion rings every time. Best sandwich in the area without a doubt. Great local business.

Nice local business. Owners recognize their customers and know what they order, nice atmosphere. Philly steak sub is sublime, steaky and cheesy with just a touch of heat from some crushed red pepper. Also have the club special or special sub and highly recommend it too. Good quality deli meat with just a hint of I believe Italian dressing. Check it out!

Whoa, 5 stars? I was a little on the fence about this, but I first ate here several years ago, some time around when the place was first opened, and have had excellent food and service each time of the many I’ve been. And I’ve been a boatload of times, so the consistency really speaks to their quality. So what can I say that hasn’t been said before? Their menu isn’t terribly large, but the subs they make are always awesome. Their bread really doesn’t look like anything fancy, but it’s toasted to perfection and tastes fresh. As many have mentioned, their steak sub is where it’s at. I also recommend their chicken sub. Last time I went I got the meatball one, which is also one of the better meatball subs I’ve ever had, but I recommend one of the aforementioned. As far as service is concerned, I have nothing bad to say. The subs take a little while to cook(often times around 15 minutes), but you can call ahead and I think it’s certainly worth the wait. They have«meal deals» or something like that where you can get a half or whole sub with either fries, onion rings or a salad and a drink and it comes out to be a good deal. A half sub is already enough food for me, but for a little less than 8 bucks I think you can get the half sub meal deal. I always got mine with fries which were pretty decent and way more than I could finish. Oh, and if memory serves me correctly, half subs are often about 5 bucks and whole subs about 10. That’s not too bad because these are pretty big and soooooo frickin’ delicious! Okay, I’ll try to stop now but post a couple more notes. They’re closed on Sundays, though, so don’t plan a trip there without knowing their hours first. They’re typically pretty empty, though I went on a Saturday afternoon and they had a couple of families eating in. I recommend calling ahead as the subs take awhile to cook. The only other sandwich shop I like sort of as much is Planet Sub(though I would often times pick here first), so if you’re in the area, I really recommend to call in an order and pick up a whole sub. I’m certain you’ll have no problem finishing it! :)

Good cheesesteaks although they don’t use whiz. That said, what they use is provel mebbe? It’s good on it’s own right. If your in the STL area and crave a steak sammich, try this joint i think its one of the best cheese steaks in STL area… decorwise… its boring… no way around it, its a boring place to look at but i go out to eat, to eat… and this place filled my gut and i left happy

Went in for a turkey sandwich today since it’s very close to my office and didn’t want to have to resort to subway. They have a meal deal with half a sandwich(6 in), and a side of salad, onion rings, fries, or chips, and a drink for $ 7.32. The sandwich came toasted and was very good… just how I like my turkey sandwiches-warm, toasty, and mayo-y! I got the side salad, and it was good, but a little plain with just lettuce, tomato, and cheese. I like a little more veggies, but at least they offered salad. The service was friendly. Nice family establishment. Oh, and the lady at the counter was nice enough to tell me that they deliver, if we ever get swamped at our office and want to call something in!
