Discount Storage

They are cheap, but their facilities are substandard at best (they need their lot repaved, there is a huge mud puddle in front of my unit, my door sticks etc.) and their customer service is some of the worst I have ever experienced. They are rude and have no problem hanging up on you when you tell them something they don’t want to hear or have a problem they don’t want to deal with. I wish I would have gone to ANY other storage place.

When I was looking around for a storage unit in the O Fallon area I was a bit shocked at how much these things cost a month as I have never rented one before. Through all my searching, these guys seemed to be the cheapest, which is exactly what I was looking for. Plus, throw in a discount they are having on their smaller climate controlled units and they were by far the cheapest place in the area. Sounds great right? It was for the most part.
Only a few things that I wasn’t particularly fond of with these guys. No light in your storage unit, now I’ve never rented one but I have been in several and any that have been inside a building always had lights in them. So bring a flashlight. The second thing was the unit I ended up going with, a 10×10, had a huge metal beam going through it that caused a bit of issues when moving stuff into the unit. The third thing was the first unit I looked at, an 8×10, was on the first floor and walking through the hallway to get to it I could not stand up straight. Now granted, at 6’9″ I’m taller than the average bear so it probably won’t be an issue for normal sized people, but if you have taller stuff you want to put in there it could pose a problem. This place really causes me to hate being tall as there were several places that I could not stand up straight. Which can cause some potential health hazards when you are moving heavy objects as I tend to be preoccupied with not dropping the object instead of watching out for low hanging objects with which to bash my head on.
However, regardless of all that, theses guys were a good deal cheaper than other places I found so I can’t complain too much.
