No place like it within reasonable distance. The bartenders have a great knowledge over both the tap beers and the vast bottle selection. It’s a not-so-hidden gem near the interstate. Go before the after work crowd gets there and you can have great conversations about quality beer and you can sample seemingly unlimited quantities before you commit to a pint.

This place is awesome. So many selections. Offer tastings so you don’t waste a good beer.

I am not a big beer or alcohol drinker but I appreciate that this place was varied enough to even have something tasty for someone like me. I had the frambois, which is a raspberry beer. It has a tart and sour taste with basically no beer taste. It’s not something you want to binge on, however, it’s very good! The watermelon beer was interesting a favorite among my group. This is a pretty open and relaxing Global Brew, as compared to the Edwardsville location. I like this one much better with it’s open patio and spacious sitting area. For a Saturday night, this wasn’t overly packed or loud. The patio has some seating and is dog friendly. It has a fire water fountain, which was fun but hot for this summer night. It’s very clean with clean bathrooms. As far as bar-type places go, this was very pleasant for someone who does not like the typical bar scene. We spent about $ 24 on 4 beers.

This place has potential, but at the moment is nowhere near 4+ stars. It’s funny they have a sign in the bathroom promoting franchising — big empty square room, sparse decoration, small patio, beer on tap, and no food menu… real franchise opportunity. They promote ordering from the Italian place next door — BIGMISTAKE! If you’ve eaten there you know what I mean. Tonight service was weak, and when I went to lose my tab they’d added extra drinks. Eventually removed them but after a debate. Feels like a wasted Friday night. YES they have a lot of great beers! There’s no menu so get comfortable and seated, and then return to the front door to look at the massive chalk board menu on the wall.

The Global Brew must have over 30+ craft brews at any time. They have a wide variety of styles and flavors, many of them from the local area. The bartenders are knowledgeable about their beer selections, if not particularly friendly. A nice outdoor patio is available.

Only giving the one star for atmosphere! Looked like a really cool place. Sadly, looks are deceiving. My friend and I walked in last night, around 11:45. Place had a few tables full and a few people sitting at the bar. The«bartender», a woman, didn’t even glance our way. She was standing, just to the left of us, taking to a customer, who was sitting at he bar, about absolutely nothing. We stood there for 3 – 4 minutes without getting so much as a «Hi ladies, be right with you» or a «hello», «Kiss my foot». Nothing. Won’t be going back. That’s ashame.

Great selection of beers and an extremely knowledgeable group of bartenders. No food, but you can have delivery if you get hungry. Join thier club, and it will encourage you to try new beers every visit.

First of all, anyone complaining about prices is smoking crack. This is a great spot. A solid mix of local, cross-country and import craft beers. Beer is served in its proper glass. Paulaner Hefeweizen in a proper .5L Weizen glass? Done. Oh and $ 6. I’m from the DC area and was so glad to have access to beers from both coasts, the heartland AND Europe. The only thing that would make this place any better is of they offered smaller glasses for those who like to sample many beers and not get totally wasted in the process. ;)

I cant say much about Global Brew because I dont frequent enough– However– I will agree with Dan on this one– Ask for Brittany K. She will be the most knowledgeable beer server you could have! If you read this review before you go, do yourself a favor and heed my advice! :) And yes, they dont serve food, however, they do have a small binder of places you can order from– and they a couple of small snack items available.

Beer selection is impressive, so that bumps this review up to two stars. The service here was terrible. The server didn’t know much about the beers here and couldn’t answer many questions. She didn’t have a very good attitude either. Our table(all women) was ignored for the hour we spent here. I noticed that the other tables that were all men were being tended to regularly. She never asked us for a refill or if we liked our beers. Finally had to yell and waive her down to get our check. Maybe the key to good service here is to have a penis? On another note, this place would be much better if they offered a light bar menu with appetizers and such. Not a place to stay very long with no food.

The service was awful! We went in and we had to seek out a bartender that directed us to a board with beers listed but no descriptions. Another patron was told she had to download an app to find out what all the beers were. The worst part was, they weren’t even busy! We finally tracked down another bartender that gave us one option of beer based off of our liking of pilsners. Our beers weren’t even cold when we got them. No one came to check on us until the end of our second beer after 1.5 hours. The only bright side is they have a very nice outdoor patio area. Our experience was completely opposite of the one we had at the Edwardsville location which was very accommodating.

By far my FAVORITE bar. I use the term bar loosely, because it is so much more than that. I have never seen a beer selection like that of Global Brew… I have yet to drink a beer I’ve already tasted(partially because I am a member of the United Nations and going for 100 different types). They don’t serve food — no problem. They are totally down with you ordering a sandwich from Jimmy Johns and munching while you sip your amazing beer. Overwhelmed and don’t know what to order? Tell your server what types of beers/flavors you enjoy and they will hand select you a winner. The one downside for me always seems to be parking. It’s very limited in the front.

If I had something like this within a few blocks of my apartment, it would be very, very dangerous. In that sense, I’m glad Global is in O’Fallon & I can only go once every few months when I’m visiting. Tons, and I mean tons, of beers(good beers, none of that craptastic stuff) on tap, and even more in bottles. If you can’t find something you like here, then you probably don’t like beer(totally did not mean for that to rhyme, but now that I think of it, that should be their slogan!). I’m personally an IPA girl, and they had too many to choose from so I relied on the bartender to point me in the right direction. I have no idea what I drank, but it was good. There’s a great outdoor space that is connected by a garage door, which I dig. I also like that you can bring in your own food or order from the restaurant next door… this is beer heaven.

I like this place. I don’t really think it’s the place to go for people that don’t like loud music or expect to talk much. I do think they could turn down the music just a little. I ordered the Rogue Yellow Snow which I had to give the husband. I just didn’t like it. I ordered a Bells one and another Weiss Bier one. Those were my favorites. We waited over 25 minutes for a waitress so I finally just ordered the first one from the bar. I hope the service improves. I won’t knock it since it was opening day. I’ve worked in the industry and I understand how the first week or two. After that no more excuses. So head over here for happy hour and check it ought.
