I order from here once every couple of months. I would love to eat all organic and local but unfortunately I can’t afford it all the time. It is a little too pricey for me to do twice or even once a month. If it is really important to you to eat organic and local, I would say this would be great for you! Convenient and easy. I love the company and the idea. Star off because I consistently have bad luck when ordering fruit. They are often overripe or bruised. If I’m paying $ 1 per orange I want it to be exceptional. Vegetables are always perfect.

I’m going to start ordering my fresh organic produce asap! I think this is a fantastic idea, and have been searching endlessly for a grocery delivery business in my area. Now I’ve found one! As soon as the food in my fridge runs out, I’m starting my deliveries. I’ll post another review when I do!

I’m currently living in South Korea but wanted a way to deliver fresh and healthy food options to my fiancé who’s doing grad school in St. Louis. He rarely ever has time to cook and must always go with the easiest meal option, which may or may not be healthy. Unfortunately, I can’t be there to shop or cook for him. Now it’s incredibly easy to do remotely! I’m so pleased with Green Bean! The website is fairly easy and user friendly. I had no problems getting started and navigating the website. I was able to easily customize my fresh green bin with fruits and veggies that I know my fiancé loves. From there, you’re able to add grocery items. I’m really pleased with the offerings as they have many vegan and kosher items. We aren’t vegan nor do we keep kosher but I like having the option! This is so easy for me to order remotely to make sure my loved ones are being taken care of while I’m abroad.

Very frustrated by recent customer service issues and rotten produce that I’ve been receiving lately. Also, they cancelled my service after almost 1 ½ years of weekly delivery because of a temporary billing glitch. They used to send an email reminder to you to update billing info online if the weekly debit didn’t go through, but now they waste no time and cancel you in lieu of getting it sorted out. I was in the hospital for two days and came home to find out that not only were my groceries not coming this week, but that I was cancelled. A simple delivery suspension or threat of one would have been a more than adequate way to deal with the issue, but cancellation just says they don’t give a darn., I guess they are getting too big to deal with their customers in a reasonable way and they don’t appreciate consistent long term customers, I could call to be reinstated, but I think this new policy is unreasonable, I’ll pass. Most of the local grocery stores deliver as well and are much cheaper with no minimum produce requirements and you can also get the non food household items you need. Time to move on. This service used to be a good thing for my family,

I read all the reviews before trying this. But I am not understanding all the hype. I picked the smallest bin of produce and customized it which was nice. BUT in my opinion, if you are picking my produce for me, you should pick it like you would want it. There were potatoes in my order that were damaged. The broccoli was limp and woody. The celery looked old. I can say the fruit was wonderful as was the avocado I ordered. The delivery guys were very nice and helpful and brought the order inside for my mother. If you don’t have to have organic, there are other options that are more reasonable in price. I am probably going to discontinue my service.

Having to go grocery shopping is a pretty miserable experience. Having to go with a six month old, oh boy, now that’s impossible. Green Bean has been a life saver for us, especially while we’re trying to manage parenting a little one. Green Bean is such a time saver and helps our family eat organic every week. We’ve been getting deliveries for three weeks and we always add meat and dairy to our standing order of fruits and veggies. Here is an example of what comes in a medium sized produce box: 1 bunch of carrots 1– 6oz container of raspberries 1 bunch of broccoli 1– 7oz bag of Portobello mushrooms 1– 6oz container of blueberries 1– Vidalia Onion 1– Cantaloupe 2– ears of corn 5– nectarines 1– bunch of green leaf lettuce 4– gala apples 1– head of garlic 2– mangos all that for 42 bucks… WHAT!!! I can’t imagine spending this little at Whole Paycheck and I don’t even have to deal with their parking lot! You can swap out any of the produce for something else, so if mushrooms aren’t your thing, don’t worry. I haven’t been to the grocery store in weeks because I can add meat and cheese to this goodness on the website and make up enough meals for the week. It’s fabulous! Give it a try!

This is an update and review of over 5 deliveries. They deserve nothing less than 5 stars in every way imaginable: –top quality organic produce, better quality than any market I have been to around here, including Whole Foods — convenient door-to-door delivery service. They leave a green bin(with a freezer pack) right on your doorstep. Just leave your bin out the morning of the next delivery and they will swap it out. — outstanding customer service. I made a silly mistake in my order the first time around and they took care of it and made sure to fix the situation by crediting my next bin delivery. This was a mistake I made, but they still fixed it! Talk about the customer always being right(even when they’re wrong!) — I always add bulk items like cashews or dates onto my order, and I love their flexibility with swapping produce in and out. This week I swapped out romaine lettuce for some collard greens! –they have some great grocery add-on items like locally baked breads, cakes, preserves etc. I added some cinnamon to this week’s bin order. –the price is amazing: $ 28 – 33 for a week’s worth of fruits and veggies. I will never need to go to the market again. –you are NOT tied down like a CSA-you pay-as-you-go. Great for when you go on vacation or need to skip a delivery. Just cancel it online! –You are also not forced to eat the same vegetable all season. There is a hug variety of produce to choose form online in case you don’t like a certain item in your bin for the week. For example: in my old CSA we were forced to be at the mercy of our farmer’s yield, so we ate arugula for 6 weeks straight– no problems with that here! –They deliver to Scott Air Force Base and all surrounding areas. –they are green! You have the option of re-submitting, into your weekly bin, the plastic and paper bags the veggies are wrapped in to be re-used if you like. Great environmental stewardship on the part of Green Bean Delivery!

ATTENTION: I HAVESTOPPEDGOINGTOGROCERYSTORESANDTHISISWHY. OHMYMOTHERFUCKINGGOD, I’M SOSORRYFORCUSSINGBUTTHISSERVICEISSOINDESCRIBABLYGLORIOUSTHAT I HAVETOTYPEINCAPSANDUSECUSSWORDSANDOFFENDMYAUNT(SORRYOK!!!) I have been looking for a food delivery service for the longest, because grocery stores are the bane of my existence even though I’m passionate about cooking and baking. The problem is that the midwest doesn’t have very much to offer so the few options we have are really expensive and don’t have the greatest of selections. So let’s talk Green BEAN ok! It’s midwest based and delivers to the St. Louis Metropolitan area(thank you jesus) You get a bin of food delivered to your door(you can choose to have it delivered to work or home). It is chock full of produce that is either local or organic. It’s about $ 35 for a bin and that INCLUDES delivery and a heaping ton of food. You can choose to have it delivered once a week or every other week. No sign up fees, no contracts(unlike CSAs that force you to do it for a year) If you go out of town or your budget is a hot mess and you need to cancel an order, no problem, just shoot them an email. Here’s how the process works. On Thursday you get an email telling you that Green BEAN has created a bin for you. You log in to your account and you’ll see a list of items that they have pre-selected for you, much like a CSA. What’s awesome though, is that if you don’t like what they’ve picked, you can swap out for any produce you want. Also, since they pull in produce that isn’t just local, if you want yellow onions or avocados or pineapples, you can get all of them. You’re not stuck with JUST local(don’t get me wrong, I love local, but because we can’t grow a lot of rad stuff here, it’s nice to have other options). They also have a ton of non-produce type of groceries that you can add to your basket for additional fees. What’s crazy though is that even though everything is organic, I’ve cross checked the prices with Whole Foods and it’s still cheaper to use Green BEAN even though it’s being DELIVERED to your house. I’ve been using it for about six months and I don’t plan on stopping, ever. I STRONGLY suggest you give it a try if you a. love fresh food b. hate grocery stores c. aren’t rich

LOVEIT! they allow adjustments to each order, to tailor the delivery to your needs. You can put it on hold if you leave town. I get my vegies, fruit, eggs, cheese all organic and delivered to my house. I don’t have to stop on the way home for something to eat, i use what I buy and am as happy as I can be. And the products are always fresh and last a long time. It’s the best.
