I’ve gone to this place since I was a kid. In the past, there were a lot of kids related activities with the playground and games. Now, the kids get to participate in games inbetween innings. I think there was some legal or financial reason for that. There is still a lot of fun to be had for the kids though. Now on to the more interesting stuff. The team is always fun to watch no matter how the game is going. The people that attend that night are friendly and fun to be around as well. You can tell they are there to have a good time without spending a lot of money. Food isn’t super bad as well and they have a few places with different drink selections. I like going to watch and have a little fun for next to nothing. I can’t think of one person who wouldn’t enjoy a game here. It always has a light-hearted atmosphere to it.

Great family friendly neighborhood venue. Every seat is a great seat, just watch out for those foul balls.

Fun place for a cheap evening of baseball. Great place to teach kids what the game is about without paying for expensive seats(and food) at Busch. Snacks are much more reasonably priced, there isn’t a bad seat in the place, and there’s a playground for the older kids who can’t make it through 9 innings. Fun fan interaction games in between almost every inning. Don’t expect the players to be all star caliber or the fans to be quite as diehard. Go in expecting a pleasant evening with a beer in your hand, you won’t be disappointed.

Very family friendly park! Being a small businessman and Realtor I have season seats to the cardinals, Verizon, and the blues. The best season ticket for my clients to set up close though is at TRHUGES! I have season tickets front row for $ 9 each! Right by the plate! Prices are very reasonable without season seats too! $ 11 for a box, $ 8 for a bleacher and $ 4 for the grass??? Concessions are very cheap too and they have specials such was weenie Wednesdays $ 1 dogs, Thursday Thursdays, and family Sundays! Great promotions for the kids too such as run the bases Friday makes this very family oriented! Fora cheap family fun night take 70 west to TR Hughes BLVD

I headed to T R Hughes this past Saturday to catch a River City Rascals game with my husband. Parking is located across the street and is free. There is even a bridge over the busy road that takes you right to the entrance of the park. Once, in, we found our seats. For only $ 10, you can get seats in the front row! There were several food stands around the park. They have one stand called«taste of St. Charles» and it sounded as though they had different restaurants come in and cater for each game. I thought that was a pretty neat option. My husband and I ate before heading to the game, so we just got a drink. A large soda was only $ 3, very cheap compared to MLB park costs. The atmosphere is very laid back. There are different activities between each of the innings. There are also seats out in the field or in the bleachers. It seemed to be a very family friendly place. We ended up not staying for the whole game(it was extremely hot outside), but we definitely enjoyed ourselves and will probably be making a trip back in the future.

Went to T R Hughes last night for a River City Rascals game and got to enjoy the Dog Pound Patio. I am not a huge sport fanatic and I like going to enjoy the game and talk with friends. So yeah I am that person most people hate, where you want to focus on the game and I just want to talk. Either way it was free and it gave my wife and I an excuse to get out of the house by our selves. Her bank paid our admission and for our food, which wasn’t bad but not good either. I would say it was the worst ball park food I have had in a while. But not to the point I wouldn’t eat it. The best part was the endless«Cruncher» chips. I enjoyed the facility in general and in my sports ignorance didn’t even know who we were rooting on. They did have umbrellas over the tables we were at which was nice and it did sprinkle a little so they came in handy. Like Patt C. we also opted for the free parking and walked across the bridge. I enjoyed talking to everyone that was there and I enjoyed being out and«watching» the game.

T.R. Hughes Ballpark is home of the River City Rascals. A lovely, small park. There’s paid parking and free parking across the street. We opted for free. There’s a nice(and safe) pedestrian crosswalk that goes over T.R. Hughes Boulevard. It was a beautiful late Sunday afternoon 5 p.m. game with plenty of sunshine and a balmy breeze. Again, we got stadium gift, a rally rag from AT&T Yellow Pages. I’ll use it for a dish towel. The concessions are quite plentiful, though I didn’t see anything out of the ordinary. Similar to the Grizzlies home, I can’t imaging a bad seat in the whole stadium. Another fun note: the scoreboard is not electric. .. there’s some guy standing behind there changing all the R-H-E numbers and the score! Hilarious! We caught him looking out the 10th inning top window watching the game!!! There are some kind of side-by-side white tent contraptions in left field. .. kind of trying to be suites, maybe. Kinda looked like Lawrence of Arabia was in the house! There are lawn seating and picnic tables — quite a family venue. Between innings, there were plenty of antics going on to entertain the crowd. The Sumo wrestlers were my fave. But the kids trying to cram the bones in Ruffy’s mouth was a close second. .. come to think of it, the two women doing the twirly-dizzy dance with the nose to the stick, then having to race was darned amusing as well. All-in-all a grand outing. And I swear the restrooms are air-conditioned! And there are plants and stuff in there, too, to provide a feminine touch!
