Awesome. What an odd combination of the best waterfront pub you can imagine and the best sushi you can imagine. It just doesn’t make sense, and if I saw this randomly, I’d not have much faith. However, the locals know, and this place is ALWAYS packed for a reason.

Great location… Our waitress, Cinnamon(Dana Delaney look alike to the tee) was sweet and always checked on us. She made sure my Rum Runner was worth every penny… if you know what I mean. We each had salads… mine w/blackened chicken. Both were large, good, and fresh. We liked this place and would definitely come back.

You have to love the location here, looking out over the water and watching the ferries. Cinnamon, our waitress was really nice. Everything after that isn’t impressive. $ 6.50 for a pint, not cool Lookout. The $ 21 sushi roll was just ok, and for that price I was expecting more. My Moscow Mule came in a pint glass which should have been my first sign of a sub-par experience. I won’t be back, there are way better places in Oak Bluffs to go.

Not exactly the most friendly place around, search elsewhere as there are many places on the island. We are resident if the island which they can care less. They look for the one time customer to give medical service to at extremely high prices for what you get. They research front tables for six or more and even though there are many empty tables at a slack time, they won’t let couples sit there — they would rather not serve and forfeit revenue. Several times we have tried to get seated but due to their policy, we leave for better places. They do have a great location but it is still not worth the hassles. Never again. We know this island!

Overcharged on my credit bill by a huge amt. I spoke with manager and he never called back to resolve. Had to put bill on my dispute item with credit card company. BEWARE!!!

Wait staff never checked in or fulfilled the correct order. Food was average and overpriced. The island has plenty of better options. The view is slightly okay if you can see over the cars.

Came for dinner on a Sunday night, which was my birthday(over Memorial Weekend). I believe there was about an hour long wait. That was pretty rough because we were so hungry. The place is really packed and loud, like any other bar on a holiday weekend. We were able to get a table near the«lookout» but between the bar and sports on TV, it was really hard to hear. On to the food… I ordered the lobster roll, which I had been waiting for all weekend. It was pretty good… I liked the bread and it was stuffed with lots of lobster. I’d probably just like a little more mayo. Also ordered cocktails, which were strong almost to a point of not being able to drink it. I’ll skip this place next time to try other spots in Oak Bluffs.

The restaurant, atmosphere, & was great. The lobster bisque was amazing. The menu had so much to choose from. My wife and I wanted to get sushi, but we can get that back home. The lobster dinner was great too. I highly recommend this place.

This is the place to go on the island if you like hot lobster rolls. Honestly, one of the best I have ever had! The view is incredible and the staff is very friendly. Overall a really cool vibe and the place is big enough that we did not have to wait either night we were there. They do not take reservations, and it is likely to be busy bc the views for sunset and the food is really good. 5 stars. Can’t wait to go back

Nice location and view of the water. My lobster dish was great. Plentiful and fresh. Would of gave a 5 star but my wife ordered the crab cakes and they were not good. Very little crab and small. Look like they were from a frozen box reheated. Sorry but Not what we expected. Waitress was great and was attentive. Don’t order crab cakes…

Our Über driver recommended this place and it didn’t disappoint! The Lobster Bisque was creamy and delicious. The fish and chips were hot and fresh. When in the vineyard I’d definitely return.

The food is great but our waitress was terrible. We paid with cash and waited for our change. She never came back. Went up front for our change. Our waitress Whitney came up with an attitude. Gave us our change then my wife gave her what she deserved then she laughed about it. She had assumed we left her all our change. You never assume anything with people’s money. We didn’t even get a receipt. Place is great just avoid Whitney

Had a great dinner here, we were looking for a place to have lobster during our trip at a reasonable price and the Lookout Tavern was perfect. We were seated right away and had the ocean view from our table. It got dark after awhile but even then the mood inside was good, a little crowded and noisy but at least people were enjoying themselves. We each had their lobster dinner for which you get a nice 2 lb approximately steamed lobster, sausage, potatoes and corn. We dug into cracking through the lobster and dunking the moist, delicious meat into butter and lemon. So good. It was the first time my boyfriend had cracked through a whole lobster, so I was showing him how to do it which was fun. I couldn’t finish everything on my plate it was so much food! The only thing I would change is that we had red wine with our meal, because it was September and on the chilly side outside. I would have enjoyed a white wine or beer with it better. Next time!

Definitely 5 stars for lobster roll. We went there during the Independence Day on July 4th, 2015. So glad that we came to this restaurant, when we asked for recommendation, the waitress recommended lobster roll, she said it’s the best of Martha’s Vineyard, I a actually think it may be among the best of east coast. I believe the other stuff should be delicious as well on the menu, all six of us ordered lobster roll, it came with buttery or *, you do have two choices, but I love my buttery lobster roll. It’s huge, a lot of fresh lobster meat, a hot and crunch outside, chewy inside buns, I believe every bites can make any seafood lover feel like heaven. Tips: they do have substitute option for meals, you can substitute regular fries with sweet potato fries or salads, however, it’s not free substitution, asking for pricing before go for it, unless you don’t care too much. The Caesar salads for substitution cost 6 bucks, however, it’s tasty too. The restaurant is by the oak bluffs ferry station, it’s very convenient if you want to have a nice dinner before departure from MV, and the view was incredible, all the best memories. Would love to come back again just for the lobster rolls!

The service here reminds me of a time when the economy was good and teens made up a good portion of the service workforce. Proficient, polite, aloof, and occasionally disdained. According to recent statistics, teen employment is on a rise nationwide. This is what we have to look forward to. The food was bright and fresh; the opposite of a sullen teen. There are enough dishes on the menu that feature lobster for those who don’t just want it on a roll. We had the lobster tacos(which at at least 4 claws in it) and the surf and turf burger.

I changed my mind about this place ! I feel terrible about having written a bad review previously — I got another late ferry to the island on a Friday night and this seems to be one of the only open places still serving food around that time so we(reluctantly) gave it another chance. So glad we did — everything from the service to the food to the comfort of the table we were seated at was amazing. We were seated at a high-top table in the corner of the restaurant, which was perfectly out of the way of the crowd and the noisier bar area. We ordered oysters and a cluster of snow crab as appetizers, then had a lobster roll and fish tacos as entrees. and beer, beer, beer. Everything was fresh, everything was delicious. We completely enjoyed ourselves. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive and helpful. Everything was awesome. I can’t believe i was so wrong about this place the first time — I do believe that someone made a bad judgment call to serve us spoiled steamers, but that’s all it must have been. A fluke. Go here. Enjoy everything! I might see you there ;)

Food: 4 Stars Service: 3.5 Stars Our first meal at Martha’s Vineyard and it was decent. We were really craving seafood so we ordered the clam bake, the clam chowder and a chicken sandwich. The clam bake was giant! Came with a lobster, bucket of clams, fries, a sausage, corn on the cob. Although the seafood didn’t seem super fresh, it definitely hit the spot and the portions filled us up plenty. The clam chowder was also decent but seemed a little too thick. The restaurant is also a bar, so be aware that service may be a little slower than expected. The views are probably gorgeous on a sunny day from the front porch.
