Pasta: Must try the goat cheese and Rosemary fusilli. Loved it. Creamy like Alfredo. Cute decoration w/Rosemary. Cost $ 17. Portion could have been larger, but that’s why I minused a star. Male server had great knowledge about menu. I always quiz my servers ;-) Prices are hiked but to be expected because in Oakbrook. Sunday has half off kids meals($ 4) originally $ 9. Crayons to occupy kids. Outdoor seating. Indoor seating. Big wine selection. Huge venue! Did not try bowling or bocce ball. Looks fun though. Also, thanks Unilocal for my free orange sorbet. It was delicous and pretty. Wouldn’t come unless I was with friends for a night out. Though it is family friendly! Just a larger bill. $$

I want to share how impressed I am with everyone at the Oak Brook Pinstripes location. I have been to this location with my family to eat and play bocce, and have always had a great time. My parents, who live in DC, and have been to the Pinstripes there, have commented on how the IL location is markedly better. But from a business perspective… The initial discussions with Michelle for a a business outing were professional, clear, and very helpful through the whole process. She made planning our celebration easy, and within our budget. And the execution — EVERYONE who worked with our teacher group was terrific. Lupe went out of her way to greet us, work with me throughout the night to make sure every need was seen to… and teachers can be VERY high maintenance! She truly exuded professionalism and her enthusiasm was contagious! Behind the bar, V made sure everyone had a drink in hand, and also helped us with Bocce rules and hints. He, too, was engaged and truly cared that everyone had a great time. Devin kept the delicious food coming all night. He, too, checked in with me regularly to see that all of our party was happy. And we were. We will DEFINITELY return, and I know that several teachers left saying that they would like to come back with their staff. Highly recommended.

Bowling was fun, but not many lanes and had to share small space. Service was quick and when lane broke down, manager made sure to give us more time. Interesting to bowl by hour, but sad couldn’t finish last game. Overall really cool concept and relaxing environment to hang out. Many things to do in one building.

Pinstripes is a great place to meet up for a drink with friends after work. It has become the go-to place for when I am trying to organize a get together. They have great happy hour food specials, and a good selection of wines and beer. I have yet to encounter a food item that I didn’t like. I have had appetizers, lunches and catered dinners from Pinstripes and have enjoyed it all. One of my favorites is the BBQ Chicken Flatbread. Delicious. While the bar area can get a little noisy, it’s nothing more than a typical bar. Sometimes it can be hard to track down your server for a check, but that is mostly on me, considering we usually stop ordering drinks long before we leave, so I’m sure the servers get tired of checking in on us and I don’t blame them. Overall, fantastic place I will continue to visit.

This is literally my favorite restaurant. My husband and I have tried so many different items on the menu and they have all been amazing. The prime rib dip and the chicken Parmesan are two of my favorites. Their margarita Italiano is great and they have a good beer selection as well. We typically sit at the bar and all of the bartenders have been so great to us. Justin and V have stood out to us as being the best. They’re both so friendly and prompt. We also came to play bocce ball with our families after we were married as a fun little get together. Everyone had a blast! We even had my husbands 92 year old grandma playing: o) Highly highly recommended!

We were bombarded with endless e-mails last year to come try their all you can eat salad and pasta on Monday nights. We started going… and we always got an an amazing server by the name of Angie! We loved her and was one of the main reasons we would go.(she was not there tonight) The food was ok but the price was nice for a family. We thought we would start going again after the winter. Horrible! Absolutely no one was in the dining area. It used to be pretty packed. Alas… some corporate shill in some stupid marketing meeting… implemented the savage nickel & dime nonsense that just kills business. Prices jacked up like double(I know now why nobody was there now) Avoid this $ trap. So many other places to go in Oakbrook.

Activities and atmosphere is fun. Good place to host post-work events and entertain the family at. Food is average, but will do the trick for large hungry groups.

Really loud but what do you expect… it’s a bowling alley/bar/bocce/fun hang out. Love their dining area. We came in around 6 pm and it wasn’t busy at all. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer. I should’ve not because they serve these yummy garlic bread strips with olive oil and basil. Margherita pizza = favorite pizza! I’m obsessed with their dough. At one point, I started peeling off all the mozzarella and tomato sauce because I just wanted the crust. Very good pizza! My only complaint was that our appetizer came out with our food. But I forgive them otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to eat my pizza. Service was a tad on the slow side but the waiter was really nice. Found out they have brunch on Sundays so that I will be back to try. Definitely recommend this place!

Came here with a group for a birthday celebration. This place is definitely not your average dingy bowling alley; this place is new, spiffy and fits in well with the area. Walking in you are greeted and to the left is the bar area and to the right a reception area with some bocce courts past it. Our group bowled in the upstairs, which also has a separate bar area of its own. In front of the bowling lanes, there are comfy couches and coffee tables to give a living room/lounge feel. You can definitely make a night out of this with dining, drinking, bowling and bocce. I only drank and bowled, so I cannot vouch for the food or bocce but both looked more than appealing. It frankly is a bit pricy, so I wouldn’t come here often but for a special occasion it is perfect. They do have a day with half price wine bottles, which makes it a little more reasonable. Overall facilities are very clean, and tasteful. I recommend it!

We came here to celebrate my Boyfriend’s birthday with his family. Since we were just shy of 20 people, we were not able to book a party room. We started our event out with soup, salad, drinks in the bistro area. This part of the evening went ok. I ordered a bowl of the Chicken Dumpling Soup which is not at all Chicken Dumpling soup although very good. They really need to change the name to accurately reflect it. It would be better described as chicken broth with huge chunks of carrots and celery with the occasional shred of chicken. Possibly there are dumplings if you get more than a cup; however, dumplings do not exist in the cup. I did notice that our drinks were poured VERY light. Boyfriend’s martini was only 2⁄3 of the way full. I think my Tito’s and 7 just had a splash of Tito’s. All of this being said, our service in the bistro was fantastic. She was on top of everything we needed and made sure we were happy. Before coming, Boyfriend’s sister had made a reservation for Bocce long before we were able to come close to ordering our food. Pinstripes makes it easy for you to carry your tab from one section of the facility to another. We simply close the tab in the bistro and transfer it to the Bocce area. And so we Bocce! We ordered every pizza/flatbread that was available on the menu. My hands down favorite was the Italian Sausage and Peppers. The flavor mix on it was out of this world. It wasn’t too heavy on the sausage and they use a nice variety of peppers. Now here is where our entire experience went downhill… after receiving our pizza, we could not get service for anything. We were in the bocce area for 2 hours and I remember the server coming over 2 times to offer drinks. The majority of the time we were going to the bar to get our drinks. Will we come back? Possibly. We just are more likely to come back for just dinner. They did not seem to excel at the combination of activity and food.

Pinstripes has an identity problem. On the one hand they offer upscale wines, «Chef Selections» entrees and a handful of craft brews. On the other hand, they seem to be bending over backwards to be «family friendly». Hey, are you Chuckie Cheese or Labriola Bakery? I don’t think they hit the mark on either. Loud and obnoxious with tweens shrieking and running up and down the bocce ball court made it seem more like a free for all than a nice place to relax and enjoy a meal. Speaking of meals, I had the crispy chicken sandwich and didn’t think it was very good. The sandwich didn’t live up to its $ 14 price tag.(The fries, on the other hand, were delicious.) Yes, the bowling setup is pretty cool and our party had a great time bowling. I know this is a grouchy review but I didn’t enjoy the atmosphere or the food.

Great for groups, came here for a work event. Bowling was a hit! The appetizers and drinks were great. For a week night, the place was buzzing with people. Bowling and bocce in one place! I’m definitely coming back with friends to try out the bocce court.

I’ve only been to Pinstripes once before, though it was a long time ago and was only for dinner. This experience was similar, so no bowling/bocce review here! My coworker suggested this spot as a place to hang and took care of reservations and such. I guess they don’t seat incomplete dinner parties, so I sat at the bar and ordered a Butterfly Flashmob IPA($ 6) until she arrived. The bartender was nice and offered me a menu and water. She(…and later, I.) dealt with some jesting and schmoozing from a dbaggy guy seated next to me(ugh…not sure how bartenders deal with Drunkies all day). When my friend arrived, I closed out my tab and we went to the restaurant. It’s a nice space with a partially open view of the kitchen. It may be a tad run down furniture-wise: the chairs at our table were very wobbly… I was worried I’d be experiencing a serious chair malfunction, but luckily didn’t. We ordered soups for starters: she had the tomato and I had the lobster bisque($ 4/cup) There was a 1.5″ chunk of lobster on the top. I was disappointed that the temperature was lukewarm, but the taste was okay. She had a margherita pizza($ 13) that looked amazing and fresh, and I had the spicy crispy chicken sandwich($ 14). I really didn’t find it to be spicy in the least, but the chicken was super juicy. In the future, I’d skip on the breading and just go for the grilled version, as the sauces negated the crispiness anyway. The shoestring fries were awesome! I was irked that they hadn’t packed my leftover fries in my To Go box. gahhh! :/ We used our Check-In Offer on… get this: chocolate brownie gelato. AMAZING! So amazing, in fact, I’m honestly sorry I shared. And if Unilocal did half-stars, I’d have been at a 3.5UNTIL the gelato. Service was very good, and we were checked in on by a shift manager(? maybe? She didn’t introduce herself.). Overall the bar and food experiences were solid; I’d eat here again!

Pinstripes is a great place to go for a team event or even for the Happy Hour with some friends. Since I work for a local company, we were given red Pinstripes wristbands a few months ago. Every time I come in with my wristband, I get a free glass of house wine. It’s a great incentive to stop by with my girl friends after work on Fridays. Their Happy Hour is my favorite. I usually order the stuffed mushrooms or the tuna and avocado flatbread. Both are about $ 5 with HH pricing. I also tried the Friday soup – lobster bisque and it was pretty good. Our servers are all really nice and never hassle us about our free drinks. The bar area gets busy during HH so you might have to wait a few extra minutes during peak times but the bartenders are always working hard. Bowling and Bocce ball do end up filling up quickly, so if you have your heart set on playing a game, I’d recommend making a reservation in advance.

I’ve been here many times, and am always a fan of the food and service, and had been curious how a brunch would go. As far as brunch goes, a buffet is the best way to do it! Pinstripes offers it for $ 23/per adult, with $ 3 mimosas and $ 5 bloody mary’s. **A reservation may be a good idea!** The options are fantastic. Great mix of breakfast and lunch, large plates that fit a lot of food, and all the food was consistently replenished as the brunch went on. Super impressed! They even had a dessert table with a chocolate fountain! My biggest bugaboo was the service, actually. This was the first time the service was a let down. There were no utensils in site. I think the hostess was supposed to seat you and give you them, but many around us didn’t get them. Then as we pondered what we should have at our second go-round, the waitress took our first plate and utensils, leaving us stranded again! My guy saved our forks, but I ended up having to eat a chicken breast with only that fork. Guard your utensils! We left stuffed and satisfied. Great brunch value and we will be back!

Bowling, bocce, and plenty of meetup rooms, food and drinks. The bruschetta included thickly sliced bread lightly toasted, chopped tomatoes, basil and cheese. Casual, fun place to meet with friends or to have a small company party.

Can I just come for the amazing bread?! Came here with my boyfriend for an anniversary date since we wanted to try something new and fun. We were served bread to munch on while we looked at the menu; sadly my boyfriend did not get his fair share since I inhaled it all. I ordered a cocktail, Limoncello Martini, which the server recommended. Two words… heck yes. This drink reminded me of an adult lemonade stand. It was out of this world! And the prime rib sandwich was perfect with the pretzel bun(which was not stale!) After that, thanks to Unilocal from«checking in» we got a complementary sorbet or gelato. Since I am allergic to dairy, I loved the option of the two. It didn’t make me feel like a kid being left out of dessert! So finally, sorbet was something I could have!!! The sorbet flavor was pomegranate and was heaven in my mouth. We played one round of bocce ball which was 5 $ for an hour. I felt that was plenty of time for us since we weren’t so great at it anyway :) While playing bocce ball I ordered the Appletini. If you like applesauce you’ll love this drink. But it wasn’t for me. Overall, great service, amazing food(kind of wish they had a tad bit more options), portion sizes were perfect, and a fun atmosphere. I want to go back again sometime!

This place is a good time. Ive been here twice for holiday parties. The food is really good. Its not bar food or bowling alley food. Its like fine dining. The lanes and balls are really clean. They have a few bocce ball courts as well. If you aren’t familiar with how to play they can help you out. Its just an all around good place to go. The staff is really friendly as well. Good food. Good drinks. Good Times.

I’ve had my guards up about this place. «oh it’s going to be just like LuckyStrike. I know it…“well I guess I didn’t. I was lucky enough to try to this place out twice as a restaurant before even trying out the bowling. From a restaurant stand point I love it. Felt casual and laid back. one person already mention it feels a little like going to your cool wealthy friends house. Bocce anyone? They have new event’s ever month and usually you can find a new drink or food item on the menu.

What a concept, what an execution! Think Lucky Strike Lanes, but less pretentious, more homey. Going to the Oak Brook Pinstripes is like hanging out at your ultra-wealthy friends’ house. From the entryway to the outdoor patio, to the rather intimate bowling area(only 10 lanes), the look and feel is tremendously visitor friendly. The outdoor area is absolutely divine. There’s tons of tables surrounding their bocce ball courts that overlook a beautiful herb garden where they grow things like oregano, sage, thyme, and parsley. There’s also several fire pits, wooden rocking chairs, chaise lounges, and a bubbling fountain to relax and delight customers. When it isn’t ‘patio’ weather, management closes the shutters and brings the party indoors. Also worthy of mention is a 2nd floor patio that(I think) is reserved for private events. I loved that they featured complimentary fleece blankets for guests to use when the outside temperature dips. I can just imagine sitting out by a gently crackling fire some summer night with a drink and a date, sharing a blanket and a good laugh. Is there anything better in life? Mixed drinks were $ 10, my Ebelweiss beer was $ 6, about standard pricing for Oak Brook. The free bread came with a lovely pesto for dipping and our server Stephani was good about bringing us more. The prime rib sandwich($ 15) was on-point and much bigger than I expected, but I found the parmesan-dusted fries unimpressive. Caty D was disappointed with her chicken & whole-grain pasta dish($ 15), assuming it’d be a whole chicken breast served over a bed of pasta shells. Instead the chicken was cut up into pieces and tossed in with the sauteed veggies. Our food quickly got cold(since we were seated outside), and even though they had a bevy of stationary and portable heaters, there wasn’t enough of a crowd to utilize them. Note that Unilocal check-ins yield a free seasonal gelato or sorbet, so Caty D and I shared a watermelon-kiwi sorbet and pistachio gelato. Both were sizable helpings(normally $ 6 each!) and were made in-house. Big props to the kitchen for taking the time to make these, it really does make a difference. Lovely indoor dining room, as well. I guess I’d say the food is a 4, the service a 4.5, and the ambiance a 5+. Would(will) gladly return, and happily recommend!
