I had the worse dining experience at this restaurant in my entire life, which is followed closely only by the dining experience I had years ago at their location in University Village. If giving negative stars was possible, I would have given negative 5 stars. I have never been treated more like a second class citizen then at my dining experiences with this restuarant. I am not one to play the race card in my life and tend to be easy going, but I thought both Tuscany locations were extremely racist. Focusing more on my recent experience at this location’s review now. Everything started with the hostess, who was extremely rude. She acted like we were unconvincing her when we arrived at the restaurant 10 minutes early for our reservation. Then she proceeded to loudly talk to the manager about us being difficult about waiting for our table and constantly asking if it would be ready. Despite the fact that by the second time we inquired about our table, it was actually our reservation time. After seeing a few 4 and 2 person parties that were caucasian being seated, I asked again about our table. With an attitude she said that we needed to wait for the party to finish using the table they had reserved for us. At that point I wanted to ask her if the people at the restraint did not know how to put tables together or do they just not believe in having contingency plans for when customers sty longer than planned. When we actually got to our table, the man who was setting the table and giving everyone water hands me a glass of water that was half full. There was no explanation given like the pitcher he was using ran out of water. Thinking this was strange and not knowing if someone else drank out of it, I tried calling him over because at this point our waiter had not yet come to the table. After waiting 10 minutes looking around to flag someone down and our waiter no where to be seen, the manager walked by. I said excuse me and explained to him that I was handed this half filled glass of water. He then cooped an attitude and asked if I would like a full glass, as if it is completely normal to be given a half a glass of water at a restaurant with no explanation. It then was 20 minutes before we saw the waiter, who we barely saw at all through out dinner any ways. Whenever he did come by and we asked him for something, he would disappear for 20 minutes before he came back. Then in the middle of dinner the manager walked by giving me the stink eye, which first I thought I was just being critical. Then when I went to the washroom at the end of dinner and walked by him, he did it again. I will never recommend this place to anyone and would vehemently tell them never to go to any Tuscany Restaurant. The service there was horrendous and the staff was rude and racist. Like I have said before, I have never been so rudely treated in my entire life. If someone from the Tuscany reads this, I would just like to say one thing. I WASBORN and raised in the U.S. The color of my skin does not make me any less of a person than you!!!

Seriously, i don’t know why people say this is a great place. The food is blah, definitely not worth the high prices. I think I paid the high price so they can afford the rent in the location.

Dinner was excellent! Our waiter, Ricardo, was very personable and attentive. Glass of Moscato was sweet and crisp. This was our first visit, so we weren’t sure what to do with the baked head of garlic. Ricardo came back and asked if he could prepare it. He grabbed the paper napkin and squeezed out the cloves of garlic, added olive oil and parmesan, them mashed it all together. Excellent on the two kinds of bread brought to the table. I had the scallops with pasta. Scallops were seared perfectly. Tomato based sauce had just a bit of heat from red peppers. My husband had the breaded pork chop. It was pounded thin and very tender. It had a side of arugula salad with a very subtle vinaigrette. The crème brûlée was great and the white and dark chocolate mousse with crème anglais was even better. Absolutely perfect!

They apparently closed when they want to. We walk in at 9:30 and ask for a table for 3,( Unilocal said they close at 10) the host look around and said«we closed early today because it slow». It was rude and I would never come back again

I hadn’t been here in several years but am glad we went back. Great band playing in the bar area during the dinner hour. A littl expensive but good quality food and a good experience overall. The parking is there if you don’t mind walking a little bit. The valet parking is unnecessary.

After a few very positive recommendations and realizing this place has been here FOREVER, I thought why not give it a try. Having to utilize valet parking is one of my life’s few annoyances, and one that automatically unnerves me. That said, there was a band playing in the bar and they were actually quite good. It was a cold, rainy, miserable Wednesday night, made worse by driving in from the city, yet the warm ambiance of Tuscany was very inviting. Four of us shared a bottle of Merlot and the calamari appetizer. The calamari was delicious and not the least bit greasy or rubbery. Before our entrees we had Caesar salads which were very good, especially with fresh anchovies and a delicious dressing. I ordered the Melanzane parmigiana which was fresh & delightful eggplant by homemade herb fettuccine which was yummy. Hubs ordered spaghetti di Mare and our friends, penne E Capesante and the other, a whole fish, I forget which kind. While the portions for the other pasta dishes were ample, I was the only one at the table with leftovers, and rather significant at that. The other 3 plates were clean by the end of our meal, which is unusual. The lemon sorbet for dessert was outstanding. Stuffed into a real lemon, it looked as good as it tasted. While Tuscany is a bit above the competition in price, it’s a cozy, sophisticated place for a nice meal or a little splurge. These are the reasons this restaurant remains open all these years!

First time going to this restaurant. It was an awesome experience. Food was great. Great place to take a special person, great ambiance for a date. My date ordered the Gnocchi Gorgonzola and I had ordered the Pollo Monte Carlo. Both the dishes were awesome. For desert we ordered crime brûlée and terimusu. The only bad part was parking but valet is available for $ 4.00

Nothing spectacular. I was meeting with a group of friends but arrived a little early so I went into the bar area and had a glass of Argentinean Malbec. Pretty Good, especially at half price. The one thing was that the bartender started running a tab(another party had arrived) and didn’t ask and then was perturbed when she had to change it.(1 star gone). Eventually we were seated as the final party arrived. The place is dimly lit but was adequate enough to see what you’re eating. Not a lot of customers. Before I get into the food, I just want to say the server was outstanding: attentive and knowledgeable with a sense of humor. And that compensated for the«attitude» of the bartender. I ordered one of the specials: Mahi-Mahi. It came with a polenta and asparagus plus a side salad. The salad was your std. mixed salad one would find at any family style places. No love there. The main course was just ok. The Mahi Mahi was edible but seemed to lack a freshness one might expect. The asparagus was limp and the polenta was dry. The person to my right ordered a simple Caesar Dinner Salad with chicken. He said it was fine. The other side ordered a Short Rib special and he found it to be dry as in over cooked and then zapped. Two others had the Mahi Mahi special and finished their plates but I just couldn’t do it, leaving about half the fish, most of the asparagus and polenta to whatever fate awaits them. So, the big question: would I return? I suppose if I were with a group but I’d stick to the pasta… the mushroom risotto served at the next table looked very appetizing! There was a duo performing and they were ok, if only a little loud.

I haven’t been here in ten years but it was just as I remembered it. I went on a Monday evening the place was quite empty. The restaurant reminds me of common Italian restaurant. The usual dark linens on tables covered with paper with sugar packet holders and the usual salt and pepper shakers. I am a little surprised they don’t offer fresh cracked pepper at the tables considering the location of the restaurant. Anyways is basic décor, nothing that really stood out but pleasant. We were seated right away. Took a moment to get someone to come to the table but it wasn’t bad. Just a little shocking considering it was empty. Drinks were ordered and we had bread delivered with fresh roasted garlic to the table. I have to say I couldn’t stop eating it and I thought I wasn’t going to be able to share with my date, but I did. They have a decent wine selection, something for everyone! They also have good drink menu for those who don’t drink wine. We ordered the baked calamari as the appetizer and it was delicious. I can easily have had that as a main salad as it’s served with lettuce and a light dressing! In fact I just may go back for that only! I ordered the mushroom risotto and they offered to make it spicy so that was a bonus and it came out perfect! Nice and creamy! My date ordered the Salsiccia– Tuscan sausage with roasted sweet peppers. It looked delicious and he said it was! I can attest it smelled great! Dessert… I ordered the mini cannoli. It came with two regular and two chocolate mini cannoli’s. They were simple and good. Nothing made them stand out but I enjoyed them for sure. My date ordered the chocolate cake and I swiped a bite… yummy! It was basically chocolate creamy mousse! I would return for sure. This place has been around for many years for a reason!

Looking back on this meal from last month, the top of mind lasting thoughts are: — eagle eye bus service here! Husband got a very prompt refill on his cup of decaf coffee. We were impressed. — nice that they provide a free bday tiramisu for you(staff read my OpenTable note when I made my online reservation). We were pinched on time, so the waiter had the dessert packed to go! — I prefer this location to the Wheeling one: bread was fresher, restaurant was more hopping, and the service was spot on I thoroughly enjoyed my brown butter and sage housemade pasta dish. Note: you don’t have to have your car valet parked. Just drive past the front entrance and you can self park in the dark parking lot just beyond the restaurant.

Hard review to write because the food was actually really good. My wife and I went to dinner with another couple and we brought our own wine. We ordered appetizers and salads before the main course. We go out to dinner every weekend at restaurants all over the Chicago area as our friends are from Park Ridge and we are from Orland Park. The service on this Saturday night was terrible. I think our waiter was disinterested. It wasn’t as if he had too many tables, he just was inattentive. Really too bad.

Good food and space to accommodate a party of 12. Grilled octopus was very good and the grouper special was very tasty. Wine was half off, which made the night even more enjoyable. Service was very good. Will go back.

Overall very good dinner, we had the calamari appetizer and two entrees. My girlfriend and i were celebrating sweetest day a few days late and we decided on tuscany. Our server could have been more engaging but her service was on point. Wine pours could have been a little bigger. We will go back

First time here and from the start we had great service! Valet is only $ 4 and reasonable priced food. Hubby had pollo monte carlo and the presentation was great and it came with the best tasting spinach we ever had! I didn’t even know I loved spinach! I had ravioli de la casa and it was also delicious! We had Pinot noir wine and it was also yummy! Overall a great place to have dinner and wine!

Date night(we got a sitter!!) and picked a place last minute. I’ve been to Tuscany on Taylor so I knew the food would be solid, at least. The entire experience was awesome. Wait staff is first class. Fresh garlic for the olive oil, wine recommendations, amazing food, and decent live music to boot. Great for a Friday night when it’s not fancy but definitely not casual. Additionally, the man greeting us when we arrived was so professional and when our food came he even came over and made sure it looked right.

This is purely a review of the experience I had with this restaurant this weekend. My parents had a reservation Saturday night and I wanted to surprise them by picking up a few of their appetizers. I called and spoke with the hostess who said the best way to do it was to name an amount and she would just take that amount off their bill. I asked her to take $ 30 off and to say it was from myself, my brother and my sister. I even asked a second time if the server was going to be aware of it and inform them and she said yes. Cue to Sunday morning when my parents had NO idea what I was talking about yet my credit card had for sure been charged. As far as they knew, nothing was taken off the bill and they definitely weren’t told of anything by their server. I called Sunday morning and left a message asking for a manager to call me. By Monday evening I still had not heard back. I called and asked for a manager; Matt told me he could help. Turns out, he couldn’t. After explaining the story twice, he told me the office was closed and he would leave a message for them to call me by 11am Tuesday. Around 2pm Tuesday, I still hadn’t heard-I called and this time demanded to speak to a manager who could actually help. I talked to Fred who was very apologetic and refunded me my charge right away. My issue is that this shouldn’t have happened in the first place. I wanted to treat my parents and miscommunication on the restaurant’s part ruined that for me.

For me Tuscany seems outdated. It’s got an old look to it and certainly not as vibrant as it used to be. While they literally have every pasta and every sauce imaginable which is the only thing that might have me come back along with the garlic. Everything else lacks flavor and freshness. The soup tasted as if it’d been sitting out for days. My flatbread was very simple at the price point. Toscana salad lacked dressing and extra flavor. Have had better bruschetta at Olive Garden. Their items lack sauces and taste too bland. Didn’t notice any specials per se and could do without the live band as it was distracting. No kid options as waiter recommended half portions of pasta. Got tiramisu for our dessert, tasted store bought. Not easy access with car. Hostess never smiled and seemed to be playing on her phone the whole time. Same with server. Hard to get water refills. Martini glasses seemed to be the smallest around oakbrook area, seriously. No draft beer. All together too fancy for what is offered.

Very nice and vibrant place for an upscale lunch venue. We had their Grigliata Mista Mare(grilled seafood over beans) and blackened Hawaiian swordfish. The swordfish looked dried out on the outside but was fresh and moist. The tiramisu and flourless chocolate cake were delectable also. We’ll come here when we want a reliable, quality Italian meal.
