Empress Nail Spa

I had never gotten my nails professionally done. Then I was recently introduced to the gel manicure and I’m hooked. They do a great job at Empress. There are tons of colors to choose from. The gel manicure lasts 2 weeks easily. They do a great, thorough job. They are very polite. It is easy just to walk in and get your nails done. Although sometimes it is crowded and a bit of a wait, but they take appointments.

Very Clean Salon. Excellent work. My favorite to ask for is Denisha. Heard her twin sister was just as good. I would diffidently recommend this place.

Love this place! Their nail art is fantastic! If you want it, they can do it or they will come up with a better option for you. Yes, their massage chairs aren’t the best but the service you receive and the quality of the work is fantastic! Love love love this nail salon! Great value, great quality, great prices!

I don’t care what anyone says about this place, it’s phenomenal. I, am an 18 year old and always wanting one more thing to improve myself. Is that selfish to say? Maybe so, but it’s the truth about girls my age. I LOVE to get pedicures and gel on my nails. I think having well groomed nails is important and healthy. The pedicures there are perfect. They take their time on your feet, get all that unwanted dead skin off, and do a great job of painting your toes (and nails.) Also to mention their prices are very reasonable. For fingers, it is just as good. They have MANY gel colors and regular polish colors, which makes the process longer sometimes, but gives you more options. They are also very good and helpful about any questions and are looking out for your best interest in your choice. I picked a gel color, and a girl who was helping me told me to pick a color similar to the one I liked because that color and brand chipped quickly. Many places don’t care for you personally, and just want your money. Empress nails is not one of those places. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!

Very clean staff was very friendly I was in from chicago they fixed the horrible full set I got back home! Wish I lived out here would go back!

I would stay away from the «gel» polish at Empress. Either my color was old, or it wasn’t really gel polish, but either way one day after my gel fill in and paint, 3 nails had color chipped more than halfway off, with evidence the others were doing the same. I returned, expecting to get a repaint of all nails. The technician took the shady way out by repainting the nails seriously chipped, and then when I asked if the rest would be done, pointing out the chipping he replied he would fix them. By slapping on coat after coat of color trying to stop chipping. I was not thrilled. And, TWO days after that – 4 nails (these are the ones that were just «spot fixed») have seriously chipped. A $ 37 gel fill should not chip AT ALL, let alone immediately after being done. Beware of their shady services and horrible customer service. I will not make the mistake of returning again.

So, I needed a Pedi. I walk in there was a wait… I don’t mind waiting. HOWEVER, I asked how long the wait was and the owner (I beleive she was either the owner or manager) told me to «go» and then shooed me out with her hand.
I thought that was the worst gesture a business could give to a customer. Without the customers businesses would not exist! It was down-​right disrespectfu. I didn’t say a word, I simply walked out. I went across the street to Belligio Salon… I must say I am SO HAPPY that Empress Nails were evil to me because I ended up getting the BEST pedicure at a different place.
I’ve been to Empress before-​they are «average», but to be disrgarded as a customer was the «straw» so to speak. I will never give them my money if my feet were on fire and they were the only nail shop with a fire hose.

Here is the low down.
Best massage chairs ever. Seriously, it was borderline inappropriate. It literally massaged me from my calves to my head. Almost feel asleep during my pedi. I really felt I got alot for my money ($ 37 for a mani/​pedi). Friendly, attentive, I was happy with the quality of the mani. My pedi was a tad intense. My feet are actually really sore and it’s been several days. I get a few a season and this wasn’t my first so it’s not like these piggies were that outta control. Also… The owners have a young daughter, about 6, who hangs around. She will inevitably talk to you and she even crawled onto my lap. I am not a «kid person». It was a little much for me personally. It’s their vibe… Just be forewarned.

I kept hearing how awesome this place is, so I took a chance and sprung for a pedicure. Hey, it’s summer… I need my toes to look amazing. I’m first to admit, I’m slightly high maintenance. I’m a stylist. I’m particular… And I know the rules and regulations for the state of Wisconsin. That said, there are good things about empress nails, and not so good things about empress nails.
Highlights: they did a great job painting my nails.
They have a TON of gel polish options
Very comfortable chairs with massage options
Low points: a lot of the non gel polishes seem HELLA old, streaky, and goopey. Mine was supposed to have sparkle in it… it was so old the glitter was actually hardened to the sides… I was not a happy camper.
I had what looked like a cheese grater …(nope, not kidding) used on my feet. I know what you’re thinking… Kimberly, you’re exaggerating… Nope I’m not. It also hurt like a bitch. My feet still have sore spots from her grating my skin off 18 hours ago.
She also cut my nail a little and made me bleed. :(ouch.
Not enough massage time either. It was 27 bucks. I kinda expected more.
I’m going to try it one more time and tell them sans cheese grater…
