Don’t go food isn’t even alright. Plus they watch over your table by just starring at you the whole time you eat.

Pretty tasty. Especially for a buffet. The only complaint I would have is some of the food was cold.

Worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. Couldn’t finish my plate. Teriyaki chicken was super dry and had a funny taste like it was yesterdays chicken. The beef in the broccoli beef was breaded and slimy feeling and the egg drop soup was very bland, the sausage didn’t seem cooked all the way through. The only semi-redeeming quality is that the place looked very clean. I guess the soft serve ice cream was good too.

Food was dry, and tasteless, tasted as if it had been in the steam bar the day before, then reused. The server was friendly. I won’t be going back, and I don’t recommend eating here.

It doesn’t look like much on the outside, but the inside is spacious and quite elegant. The food was all very fresh and well prepared and there was enough space in between tables that you can have a private conversation. Some of the best California rolls I’ve ever had at a buffet. The barbecued pork ribs were tender and delicious with just the right amount of sweetness. Very fresh cocktail shrimp topped the meal off beautifully. I also particularly appreciated the steamed pork buns which were moist and delicious, just like I remembered them in Japan. We’ve eaten at Jumbo buffet in Oak harbor before, but my entire family really enjoyed DH Buffet much much more. Oh yeah, they had lots of beautiful salad choices as well. The food was well worth the price — a real bargain actually. My wife and sons had the Mongolian stirfry and really enjoyed it, including watching the skilled chef prepare it. Thanks to everyone, especially Dee who was very welcoming and attentive.

My husband and I frequent this place twice a month. BECAUSEITISTHATDAMNDELICIOUS! I love food and I love a deal. For 12 bucks, you are invited to a smörgåsbord of delectable Asian foods ranging from Mongolian grill to sushi. The food is good quality… it’s not fancy or top notch by any means, but it’s impressive for what you pay. The flavors are wonderful and the food is always fresh and hot. The cooks are meticulous when it comes to checking the food often. We always clean house when we come here, starting off with a plate of sushi, then moving to the delicious soups, salad bar, variety of prepared meats, seafood, and breads, and finish off with an array of their selection of desserts, to include fruit, ambrosia, cakes, pies, dumplings, donuts, and ice cream. There is so much variety it excites me. I mean, I’m a fat kid, and this place is the way to my heart. Not to mention, the staff is ridiculously friendly and scrupulous. They clean the restaurant every 10 minutes. If you look up from your meal, you can always find a member of the staff cleaning and/or filling beverages. These people are professionals. They are hardworking and care about their customers. I love you D.H. Mongolian Grill /Asian Buffet. I really don’t have anything bad to say about this place. It is exactly what you would expect from a restaurant. There is a lovely coy fish pond in the center as you walk in. The staff will at times give you pellets to feed the fish. So cool. The décor is simple and bland, but who cares. The food is tasty!

Not a bad joint. Didn’t try the Mongolian but imagined that would of been good. Sushi was a quick fix to kill the urge, the Seaweed salad was the bomb.

A very good selection of food, many things to eat, salads and main dishes are delicious but gyozas are excellent! Sushi is delicious too!

The menu is a typical chinese-American buffet menu. My impression was super greasy and lack of favor.

Decent sushi. Did not try the grill as I was on lunch break and in a hurry. Great selection of food choices, and relaxing atmosphere. Will be coming back.

Well… the food was great. We walked in on a weekday, and I asked them how much the buffet was. They informed me it would be $ 7.49 for both the buffet items and the Mongolian Grill. I thought it was reasonable, so my mother and I decided to sit down. We went and got food, sooooooooooooooo much better than Jumbo, They could learn a few things from this restaurant about quality. However, the service was the worst I’ve ever experienced at a buffet. The lady brought us soft drinks with no straw, and we had to wait 45 minutes for a straw. She finally brought us one… BUT…Since we arrived at like 3:20pm or so, I guess our dining ran into dinner time, I had gone up for more food, and saw that they had put crab out, and went and got crab. At this point the lady asked me if I wanted to be charged for dinner??? What the hell! All I did was go back up for more food, and she wants to charge me more for dinner. When I told her NO and that I’ll just put the crab back, she told me I could keep the crab… But during this time, the other lady that was running the place went over to my mother and informed her that we were going to be charged for dinner, which then caused my mother to tell me to leave the crab. I thought this was totally outrageous for them to do this. It ruined the buffet experience for both my mother and I, and she does not even want to come back even though she thought the food was OK. Let me give the owners a few pointers: A. If you don’t want lunch customers eating dinner items, cut lunchtime off at 2 or 2:30, that way most of your customers will be gone by the time you have dinner items out at 4PM, and you wont have a customer relations issue in the future. B. Have the customer pay BEFORE eating. This is what most buffet restaurants do, and it eliminates the confusion of a lunch or dinner price. They pay beforehand, and therefore cannot be charged more than what they paid when they walked in the door. C. If you fail to do both A and/or B, and a customer eats dinner items, realize that its your fault for not taking steps of A and/or B, and eat the cost. Don’t confront them and threaten to charge them dinner even though they came for lunch. There is no sign posted of what is a «lunchtime» or dinnertime” item, so it can be confusing. In the future, I hope you will treat your customers with more respect than what was shown to me and my mother. I felt that absent the terrible customer service, we would be going there a couple times a month. I wish this business all the success in the world, because they truly do have wonderful food.

Terrible food that doesnt get cycled out as it should, cant expect much from a buffet. The people that give this place 5 stars dont know food and give Unilocal inaccurate reviews.

I love this buffet! They have a huge selection, including the best sushi in Oak Harbor. I’m used to sushi at a buffet being disgusting, but this place is pretty good. They have three bars of food, and another with salad and desert. They also have a Mongolian selection and sushi. I get takeout usually, but I’ve also eaten in. The staff is very nice and always helpful!

I attended the DH Buffet Saturday night with my spouse. She must really love me. As with many of our dining experiences, we started with some shopping. Beside the DH you will find a dollar store. Unlike Canadian dollar stores, this place has an amazing variety of goods each for $ 1 or less. I am starting to believe that in the USA one could do all of one’s grocery shopping at a dollar store. If we lived in the USA I would try this experiment and see whether we could survive for one month on dollar store groceries. The DH was a somewhat familiar sight given our recent visit to the Jumbo. The sights and sounds were similar as was the menu. I must admit that the food was better at the Jumbo and the Four Seasons. Still, the dining experience at the DH was delightful. We sampled the many food offerings and were delighted by the expanse of the desert table. A few items were unique at the DH. The one item I was most surprised to see was the frog legs. I have not sampled frog legs for many years and my spouse, having lost the rock-paper-scissors, was the one to sample them this time. She tells me they taste like chicken. DH also had crab prepared two different ways, a very tasty offering. The service was good and the attendants were friendly.

Heard this place was decent but was disappointed. The chicken dishes were gross, the sweet and sour sauce was awful and they aren’t exactly friendly. The stir fry noodles were ok. Won’t go back. I can make better Chinese food at home. Really wanted to like this place.

I’ve been here about a dozen times and really like it. The people are friendly, prices reasonable, and the food is good and comforting. Not super high end, but good for a buffet. I have a few favorites: the cold oysters, chicken with vegetables, won ton soup, some of the sushi items. I recommend it for a Chinese food fix.

Living in the SF Bay area, there are many Chinese/Asian buffet restaurant and most of them will charge up to $ 27/person for dinner with so so service and ok food. However, while traveling, our hotel hostess recommended this place due to the quality of the food and the cleanliness of the venue. We took up on her suggestion and couldn’t be happier! The service was great, food was great, even had snow crab legs! All for $ 9.99/person! I highly recommend this place and will visit again when in the Oak Harbor area!
