Island Mini Storage

I would like to rate this as the worst storage unit ever. If I could have rated this place a zero I would have. The owners are absolutely awful and rude. We had a unit broken into and over 15,000 dollars of items were taken. They have a video «surveillance system» that is so horrible they couldn’t even catch a license plate. To say the least a live in manager and the cameras did not stop our unit from being robbed… for over 4 hours of them loading items into their cars without being caught. At which the manager was not there but was texted by a current tenant asking if he would be there to drop off rent, and he said he wouldn’t be there at that time. a A TENENT of Island Mini Storage proceeded to wait until the manager was gone and raided our unit for 4 hours… with every valuable item we owned. If we had not shown up the next day the video would have been erased. The owners were not willing to help or even help when we contacted the police. Instead they sat at their homes knowing a tenant of theirs had been robbed of all lifetime belongings and earnings without a care in their mind. Most owners would have shown up to talk with police in such situation. After all of this we decided to move our items for obvious reasons. We had a few remaining items to come back for, at this point the owners had decided to free for all and open our unit and upon themselves well knowingly that we would be back to take our items but instead they took the to the dump. As far as your items and precious valuables being safe… this is the last place you should leave them. In the end the owners never were willing to help us. All they wanted was money! Even We were caught up on rent. They emptied our unit for another poor individual to become a victim of theft. They don’t take care of their customers and are more worried about their image and money. In the long run, this is by far the worst storage unit I’ve ever used in my life. Although, the manager is very willing to help, and does the best he can even with his horrid bosses who treat him with no respect as their tenants.
