This place used to be Top Teriyaki under the previous owners. First off, the couple that owns the place are extremely nice and no kidding, look for input on how to make their food better. With that being said, I will try them again even though I gave them 2 stars. OK… the food. I ordered the chicken teriyaki and asked if they had anything spicy as it wasn’t on the menu. She said they could make it as spicy as I want and I told her to do her best. I got the food and it was a brown teriyaki sauce and I knew it wasn’t going to be good. Well it wasn’t. It actually smelled like dog food. The taste resembled cardboard, but at least it was a spicy cardboard. I asked some other people about it and they said the food is really good, but they can’t make a spicy dish. So if you want something non-spicy, try it out.

Our family went here for dinner and it was fantastic. The owner greeted us and took great care of us. Our kids loved the beef teriyaki. The chicken teriyaki was wonderful. We also enjoyed the lumpia… so good. The beef dish the owner recommended was the best! We’ll be back the next time we visit Whidbey.

Let’s face it, Oak Harbor isn’t exactly the gastronomical capital of the Northwest(though it did hold the title of fast food capital of the world, a title may have been unseeded by now). However, when looking for quality, quick, and memorable teriyaki Manna really hits the spot. The food is nice and simple, hot, fresh, and the staff couldn’t get any friendlier. The teriyaki sauce REALLY improved from a couple months ago, and is by far better than any other option in town. If you’re looking for some great quick teriyaki and are on the island, or in town, head here!
