My boyfriend and I have made this place our new weekly date night. We bowl a few games and play pool in the arcade. The music is great and the beer is cold! I’ve yet to have it but my friends that go there say try the pizza. I’ve done cosmic bowling and I have to say the environment is great! We had so much fun we stayed till close! We will definitely keep going here and be regulars!

Older local haunt, but nice vibe. Many events/items to choose from, which make it easier to be entertained. Bowling, arcade and food all present on station. Excellent personnel working the place. BD packages come with a hostess went very well. When we learned they often go back-to-back on BD’s all day long, that’s a toll and Mario’s does it well.

This place is a nice place to take the kids. Pizza is greasy and the bowling lanes are not well maintained. If you want a place for your kids to have fun bring them here. Other then that I would avoid this place at all cost.

Oak Bowl hosted the 2014 Spring Classic Grand Finals tournament which I bowled in this summer. I had never been to this particular center before and I didn’t know what to expect other than it’s a small bowling alley with 12 lanes. It must have been difficult managing this tourney and playing host to over 90 teams(most of whom came from out of town). But the staff was friendly and courteous to everyone. A friendly atmosphere and they carried it off well. I really like that they kept the scores up to date on their Facebook page after each squad. The place(while not new) seems to be very well maintained. During our squad, we had no mechanical problems at all. No pinsetter snafu’s or score keeping malfunctions which can be all too common in older houses. Mario’s is also great little pizza place with friendly staff and yummy food. I really appreciate Oak Bowl hosting this tournament and if I am ever back in Oak Harbor looking for something to do(and I have my bowling stuff with me) I will not hesitate to go back. Hmmm… or maybe I’ll just come for the pizza.

I have been there 2xs now the first time i ordered their cheese balls very good but it took 40 mins to get and they charge you extra for ranch instead of marinara and the blonde there was kind of rude to the customers especially the birthday party that just lite the candles wanted the Happy Birthday song played She seemed really put out by this request. anyhow on the goodside we went again for teen night not many teens there the staff that was there was really cool with my son. and he had a blast

I’ve been to Oak Bowl several times over the year and I always seem to have a good time. I like to sit at the counter and chat up the staff … Always good people and friendly. I really enjoy the pizza, too. It’s greasy, garlicy goodness. And if you, too, enjoy garlic, I highly recommend the garlic balls. Also delicious. The bowling isn’t too spendy, there’s a full bar in the back … I’ve got no major complaints.

Oak Bowl has the market cornered in Oak Harbor as the only bowling alley in town(the Navy base alley is currently closed for construction) and the only alley for birthday parties and school groups. It’s because of this that they feel free to rip off their customers. I went there today as a chaperone for my daughter’s 5th grade class. It was $ 5.50 per child for shoes, bowling, 1 slice of pizza and soda. The bowling was fun even though everything is a bit old and worn and lighting is dim. Kids were happy until their«slice» of pizza arrived. The employees took a slice and cut it into three thin pieces and gave one each to the kids! All the parents were stunned. The kids could eat their so-called«slice» in 3 bites. THREEBITES! I have twins, so I had paid $ 11 and watched my girls take 3 bites of pizza. To add insult to injury, they came around with a soda pitcher and gave each kid about an inch of soda in their cup. They then proceeded to announce that there was more pizza available for $ 1 a slice. All the kids who were still starving, ran up with dollar bills only to receive another«slice» of 3 bites. The parents watched as the employees of Oak Bowl ROBBED the children of their money. When we complained, we were told that Oak Bowl was already giving us a discount so we shouldn’t expect full pizza slices! The business lost a lot of customers today. I know that I will NEVER again be a customer of theirs. I will drive to Anacortes to bowl with my family. They have much better food and it’s brighter and nicer. Congratulations Oak Bowl for completely ripping off students and parents today. That«slice» was their lunch and most of them left hungry. I seriously doubt that any employee at Oak Bowl would have been happy if someone served them a tiny, thin, 3 bite piece of pizza and told them it was good enough to be called LUNCH. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves.
