DelFino’s Pizza & Ice Cream

Solid American food at good prices. Laid back place to go if you have lots of kids in tow. I really like their BBQ sandwich. I’ve had their alfredo, hamburger, and hot dog, and all were very serviceable. I used to live close by and it was not uncommon for me to shoot over there for lunch or dinner. They also have a bunch of different desserts available. I have never tried their pizza but I’d imagine it’s good.

I’m so very glad we decided to try DelFino’s tonight. We live in Virginia so we won’t be able to come here often but we will definitely be coming here every time we’re in town (which hopefully will be often!). We needed someplace to eat dinner fairly late at night and the reviews looked pretty decent plus it was near the hotel we were staying at, but I certainly didn’t expect the fantastic experience we had at DelFino’s.
The food here is delicious. Everything we had (which was a lot for just 2 of us!) was so much better than we expected. Fried pickles, chicken tenders with fries & gravy, quesadilla, shake & ice cream.
The prices here are quite reasonable and the portions are certainly generous. The ambiance is what you might call a classic food joint — nothing fancy, but personally I don’t need fancy. I like a casual, laid back kind of place where you can feel comfortable and enjoy yourself and that’s exactly what you will find here.
The service is what I really want to praise though. The service we received was so wonderful, I honestly can’t say the last time I had such good service. One woman in particular really just went above and beyond for us — she said she doesn’t normally wait tables, so hopefully if someone there sees this they can figure out who she is and tell her thank you again for us. I actually felt personally compelled to thank her afterwards (even though I’m shy!), and let her know that we won’t be back soon unfortunately since we’re from out of town but that we’d be back just as soon as we can.

Staff and owner are very friendly greet you at the door with a smile. They need a larger dining room they have such good food they are always running over. You might have to wait but we’ll worth the wait.

We love to eat here at least once a week! The staff is very friendly. The food is very good especially if you like home cooked meals, it makes me feel at home every time I eat there.
Not only is the food good the desserts are made in house and the Oreo fudge cake is to die for! You get a huge hunk of cake for only 3.00! Such a good deal!

Tried the alfredo and it tasted like plain noodles & the mac and cheese tasted like cardboard. Was very excited to try & am very disappointed.
