While it met expectations of glutinous value, and the taste of the burger itself was pretty good, the whole package of the fatso burger was a little too much and not a great mix of flavor. I would easily go back but not for the«fatso» aspect of it. The fries were serviceable. Burger tasted really good and was a «thick-burger» as opposed to a stacked burger. The hot dogs were tasty and value met the price point. Even the service was good enough to provide a quick turnaround and a smile.

Great food, awesome prices and good service. Would come here again. Hard to find these old school neighborhood places now. I have to come back and try the fatso dog that everyone is talking about.

I went there last night for some loaded french fries. After waiting about 10 minutes my food arrived. I asked why it took so long for french fries and the employee that handed me the food said she didn’t know she just hands out the food. I asked her to find out and who I assumed was the cook came out and said something like Hi sweety, how can I help you. I told her I am not your sweety. I asked her my question. She said Honey, everything is cooked fresh. I said I am not your honey either. Anyway after a few more Sweety’s and Honey’s comments I left. Anyway after waiting 10 minutes the french fries where undercooked!!! I will never go back there again and this employee should be fired for her attitude and the way she speaks to her customers

Really enjoyed the quality meat, buns, and special sauce of my jalapeño burger! However the best part is what you get for the inexpensive prices. If your cruising through Oak Lawn or a local try it and enjoy how a burger is supposed to tase.

Stopped here for the 1st time for a bite before long ride home from work. Family owned. Great customer service at the drive-thru window. Reasonably priced. My coworker and I order grilled chicken pita. It was made to order. I told her it was our first time there. Chicken was fresh, however needed a little salt to bring out the flavor and pita could have been toasted/cooked a little more. Other than that it was pretty good. While we waited she gave us a small cup with a taste of rice pudding her dad had just made. It was still warm and delicious. She gave us a few fries to taste also in the bag with our meal. Freshly cut fries, loved them. I will visit here again and try something else on the menu. Four stars because the chicken wasn’t seasoned enough and pita a little undone for me.

This was my first time there and I will definately be going there more often. Their burgers are fresh and my boyfriend had the chicken. The quality of what we had was definately fresh. The shakes are very, very good also. I can’t wait to try more on the menu

First time visiting Fatso’s and I wasn’t disappointed. I was feeling hungry so I ordered the Fatso dog and the loaded fries. The Fatso dog is like a hot dog chimichanga of sorts with 2 hotdogs, fries, cheese, chili and jalapeños all wrapped and deep fried. Absolutely delicious! The loaded fries were also pretty decent, a large helping of fries with cheese and bacon bits. Was pleasantly surprised and will be trying other options on their menu.

WORSTCUSTOMERSERVICE I HAVEEVERSEEN! Poorly run business. My boyfriend decided to call and order food for me since I was sick and upset about my previous ordeal with this business. He placed the ordered and was told what he would be charged. The total came to around 27 dollars. Instead they charged him 33.60. He called back to add on to the order and was told the total was around 9 dollars. He was charged 11.53. Apparently this business has a thing for ripping people off. Next the delivery. He clearly stated it was a basement apartment, back door, bottom bell. The delivery driver apparently stood outside for 20 min at my front door holding my food. Finally she calls my boyfriend to say she’s here. He tells me to go outside and there’s no one to be found. Another 5 min later she rings my bell. I grab the food, sign the slips, and go back inside. Just to open the bag to ICECOLD food. Yay! I threw it all out. I call today to complain about the fact that we were over charged(more than what they said they were going to charge us) and the fact that my food was delivered ice cold. I was pretty much told that the receipt says one amount, and they’ll call their register because they can’t take my word for it(even though I have the statement to show what we were charged) and that there was nothing they were going to do about the ice cold food I was delivered because their driver decided to stand outside for 20 minutes. Pretty much insinuating that it’s not their problem. After arguing with the owners daughter for about 15 min she asks if I’ll ever order from them again because she’ll give me a certain amount of credit. Why would I go back to a business where THEY messed up TWICE yet wants to sit there and argue with me about it? Worst customer service I have ever encountered and I will be contacting the city to inform them this business likes to charge people more than what they say they will. Poor way to resolve an issue.

Probably the best burger around. The chipotle burger is my favorite. Try one you won’t be disappointed.

Stopped by with two friends and had a double cheese burger topped with bacon, fries and onion rings. It was a very good burger. Not the best I ever had yet very good, tasty and full of flavor. Service was great too. Girls were very friendly and attentive. I would return.

Uh uh. Not impressed. Not the best burger, not by a long shot. I tired their trademark double, it was OK but that’s about it. I can think of many places with burgers that eclipse this place. Also the fries are cooked in oil that’s either old or dirty, something you can really taste in fresh cut fries. People are nice, place is TINY(3 tiny tables), food is so so. Sorry, I wanted to love this place. A friend has been urging me to come here for a long time and now that I finally did, he loses a couple point in burger aficionado credibility. One and done.

Well what is there to say other than we have a quality fast food joint. Met the owner and his wife. Turns out place is family onwed and operated. Owner is genuin and appreciative for the visit. This place is known for its burger and dogs but its hidden gem is a Greek dinner that is truely well worth sampling. Rigth portions and very filling. All meals are made at time of order thus fresh and very satisfying. This is a place worth visitng!!!

Second day in a row and it’s still awesome! I had to bring my husband in just to try. I had a single Fatso Burger yesterday that was simply amazing. My mom had the maxwell hotdog yesterday and today which was amazing. Today my husband had the single Fatso Burger and he agrees that it’s awesome! You HAVE to try at least once. You’ll be back, I guarantee it!

So this place I pass by literally every weekday, I hesitated to try it but a friend recommended it since she works right across from this place. I picked up onion rings gyro and a pizza pocket all were pleasingly delicious except the pizza pocket which I had called in to ask what’s inside of it, they told me that is was frozen and they just heat it up. I really didn’t like it I seriously took two bites and threw it away what a waste huh :/ Nonetheless, if you’re looking for a quick bite, give this place a go you won’t be disappointed they’ve got good portions and exceptional prices. I’ll definitely go back and try out some of the other food they have to offer they look pretty delicious! P. S. Just make sure whatever you order wasn’t previously frozen, I’m sure we all would enjoy some fresh food.

We visited for a late lunch on a weekday so they would be less busy. We wanted to eat the food right there but the three empty tables inside were filthy(plenty of employees stand doing nothing including the female owner) and the outdoor tables were in use. We decided to take our food to a local nature center to eat. The Fatso Hotdog. Pretty much as described in the other reviews and tips. I was unimpressed with the $ 7 cost and also the overall taste. The French fries were too meaty and there were too many, there was very little bacon, and I’m not sure I even had cheese. It stayed hot for quite a while and it was all packed within the tortilla quite well. I was impressed with the onion rings. Large thick rings with a perfectly fried crispy coating. My chocolate shake was also impressive. Made with chocolate syrup and chocolate ice cream it is quite rich. And not a lot of milk kept it pretty thick and flavorful. Service was marginal. When we walked in two employees hollered over«let me know when you’re ready». Not a hello, welcome, or have you been here before. Not impressed. The meal took almost ten minutes to prepare but I assume it took a while for the Fatso Dog. I may go back but surely won’t have a Fatso Dog again. Just not worth the price. Possibly I’d try a burger. Or a beef sandwich.

I had a hot dog and a cheeseburger with fries and I couldn’t get enough. The beef was great and the bun was good too. I know that sounds weird but it wasn’t that cheap bread that falls apart. Everyone was super friendly and the we got our food pretty fast.

We came to Fatso’s when it first opened and were impressed. Nice family owned business, the high-school age kids often times help out, the elderly grandfather was hanging out in the back. That kind of importance on family made us fall in love with the place because in my experience… when you make something like a restaurant a part of your family… a lot of care goes into the food. I’m all about eating local and having my money support a local family vs fuel a ginormous corporation. Now, the food… opening weekend it was amazing. Burgers were cooked perfectly, nice big and juicy. Overtime, it’s been kind of hit or miss. Sometimes it’s done sloppy… sometimes a bit overcooked. Not trying to be a jerk, but instead hoping the feedback helps them get back to the level it was on opening weekend. That said, even an overcooked sloppy burger from here… beats a crappy McDonald’s mystery meat burger hands down. There is no comparison. So next time you are in this area and about to pull into the McDonald’s…do yourself a favor and head into Fatso’s right across the street for a burger made with real meat. You might wait a little longer, but hey… that’s because they are throwing a real beef patty onto the grill vs grabbing something that has been sitting under a heat lamp.

We had to drive into Oak Lawn for a doctors appt on our way home we wanted to grab a bite to eat but it was only 10:15am most the restaurants in this area were not open yet or not serving lunch. We passed Fatso’s and saw the open sign so we stopped in, it was a very random stop but none the less I was glad we did. I got a FATSO dog and let me tell you this thing was amazing It comes with 2 hot dogs, homemade chili, French fries, Bacon, jalapeño peppers & cheese and wrapped in a tortilla that is deep fried. I got mine minus onions. This combination of food complimented each other very well and made for a awesome lunch ! Good job FATSO’s ! Thanks !

Been wanting to try out the Fatso Dog since seeing it mentioned on TV shows. Since we were heading to the Childrens Museum we got our chance. We went through the drive thru and ordered the Fatso Dog, loaded fries and a coke. Came out to a little over $ 13, so not the cheapest. Fatso Dog — It definitely has a unique taste. It comes with 2 hot dogs, homemade chili, grilled onions, French fries, Bacon, jalapeño peppers & cheese and wrapped in a tortilla that is deep fried. Surprisingly, the ingredients went well together. Only thing is I didn’t care for the beans that came with the chili. I thought it was going to be messy, but it held together very well and it was light and crispy. Loaded Fries — At first, I thought the toppings where skimpy, but once you dig deeper in, it’s there. These were pretty good too. The employee was very nice and friendly. I don’t know if I would drive all the way out here just too eat, but if I’m in the area I would go again since it’s a pretty unique item and it can’t be good for my waistline. Next time I might try the Fatso Burger as I’ve heard good things about that too.
