Huntington Learning Center

Transformational. That is the word I would use to describe what Huntington has done for our son. Transformed his love for learning and transformed his ability to read.
He started at the Huntington Learning Center in Oak Lawn one year ago at age 5. We decided to send him there because we wanted him to be prepared for kindergarten and ahead of the curve, with reading at least. We tried to teach him ourselves but found that we didn’t have the time and simply were not teachers; our son hated to sit with us and practice and we didn’t know how to teach him.
He goes to Huntington every Saturday for 2 hours. They taught him to read in 6 months! Our son even thinks learning is fun; which is what Linda at Huntington always preaches — and she’s right. We were only going to send him to Huntington for a short period to prepare him for Kindergarten but have decided to continue to take him because of the results we have seen; it would be a disservice to him to stop. There are sacrifices we make for our children and having to wake up EVERY Saturday morning to take our kid to Huntington is a small sacrifice compared to the educational reward that will set him up for success in life.
