So after I spoke with someone higher up, I found that the McNicholas branch did admit to ‘making a mistake’ in my policy by not checking for an accident on my account in the three weeks they had to research (which of course the McNicholas staff was unwilling to admit to me). That being said, the administrative rep. was unwilling to do anything as far as my refund being short because of their irresponsibility. So I asked to speak with her boss. Finally some wheels got turning when they realized I was not going to go away.
Again, I implore you to look elsewhere for your insurance needs. The company I am with now was able to handle all of this efficiently in a 45 minute phone call. No problems to date.
