Ahmed Salon

My hair is super thick with very tight curls. I had braids in for two months. I haven’t had a relaxer in almost a year and was very over due for one. I decided to go to the Egyptians to let them relax my hair.
I was very nervous because my hair is unusually thick and not many salons can work with my hair texture. I called Ahmed’s hair salon several times to explain to the guy about my hair and each time he patiently assured me that they can work with my hair, the thickness wouldn’t bother them.
When I arrived at the salon I was immediately taken in by a guy (I feel bad I didn’t ask for his name) but he relaxed my hair. I’m very tender headed and relaxers are always difficult to do on my head because of the thickness of my hair. However he was very calm, he asked me questions about my previous hair style and hair care. He was able to relax my hair without hurting me. I was super impressed. He suggested I get a hot oil treatment to prevent my hair from breaking off. After the hot oil treatment he retrieved his blow dryer. He blow dried
my hair bone straight without burning me and without yanking my hair like some salons do.
After my hair was dried I was then sent to the front to get my hair pressed by another salon worker. I told him not to trim my hair and from there he started flat ironing my hair. I am super afraid of other people using heat on my head from past experiences of being burned. He didn’t burn me at all which I am so thankful for. He even was able to use his curling irons on my baby hairs without the heat burning me. I was very impressed.
I decided I will come back once a month to get a hot oil treatment and a wash and blow dry. They are super friendly and know how to work with African American hair.

Egyptian blowout looks great, just don’t expect a luxury environment. Ahmed and everyone styling was great!

Does a great job straightening all hair type, I’ve have been going here for over 10 years and have never been disappointed.

Omg didn’t know that they haven’t been open that long cause I thought I was coming here longer that that but they are amazing on the hair side I have sit there and watch miracles happen love them and miss them to try it today!
