I want to begin by being honest. I felt the need to write this review for the sole purpose of offsetting the negative reviews. With that said here we go… When my doctor referred me here and I saw the reviews I was seriously scared to come. I will admit that the office isn’t that appealing and downright shady looking from the outside but Dr. Szpindor more than makes up for it. She was amazing! She is friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Her assistant(I forgot her name) was very friendly as well. I didn’t feel rushed which was a plus. Overall, I had a really wonderful experience here and learned so much about my self and my allergies. Highly recommend!

I did not see the doctor here so this review is about the business itself. I came here as referred by my doctor and was a little shocked at lack of hygiene in the office waiting room. There is an overwhelming stench of body odor in the waiting area. The carpet and walls smelled and appeared as though they hadn’t been cleaned in at least a decade along with the fabric chairs that had stains on them. I had an appointment scheduled and when I called they said they had no record of my appointment. They were kind enough to let me come anyway even though they never put my appointment on their schedule. However after I arrived and saw the lack of cleanliness, disorganization behind the desk and vague billing information I chose to leave without seeing the doctor. I will be mentioning this to my doctor that referred me as well because it really was shocking. I left with a worse headache then when I went in due to the odor.

I love my doctor, and she referred me to this place, so I tried to overlook my first impressions: the faded letters on the awning, the wall to wall dingy carpet(why would there be carpet in an allergist’s office at all?), the peeling wallpaper, old and uninteresting magazines in the waiting room which did nothing to alleviate my frustration at waiting an hour before my name was finally called. The nurse didn’t exactly have a great bedside manner, and I’m not sure bare feet in Crocs is up to public health code. I’m pretty sure she insulted my size when asking if I needed the«other blood pressure arm cuff», still not sure what she meant by that. She then asked me to repeat the symptoms that I had already listed on the bazillion pages of paperwork I filled out while waiting. She wrote very slowly(shouldn’t there be shorthand for congestion and watery eyes at an allergist’s office?). The corners of the examining table were worn down exposing the cotton(again, I don’t think that’s up to health code) and the nurse used a thermometer that has probably been around since the 1970s. By the time the doctor finally made it in, I was ready to leave. But we had a good conversation about my symptoms and some possible solutions so I scheduled another appointment for a scratch test.(It was supposed to be done that day but they had forgotten to let me know that I couldn’t take certain prescriptions ahead of time.) Day of the scratch test involved another long wait, so I left to go to Starbucks. They didn’t appreciate that. Day 2 of scratch test, the unpleasant nurse returned, this time in flip flops(seriously? this can’t be sanitary). She mentioned that I probably shouldn’t have been scheduled for scratch tests two days in a row cause it would be hard on my skin. Great. Subsequent visit was made with the physician’s assistant, and I really liked her. She recommended allergy shots, yay! And gave me some other good advice. I guess the jury is still out, but I’m coming around to thinking that my doctor wasn’t so crazy for recommending this place after all. But i still want that nurse to put on some socks and shoes. And please, a little upgrade to the décor and some current magazines would go a long way.
