Baird & Warner – Laura & Juan Garcia

wow ! Was it Retrograde? A friend referred me to an Agent in this office. He knows her personally and since I trusted his opinion on Housing issues, I decided to go there. Before going here, we had already done most of the research made visits to a property and wanted to put in an offer on a Short Sale. We had asked the agent here if she worked with short sales and we were told yes however! Although she said that she worked with short sales, we got the impression that she was as professional as anyone who’s a seasoned homebuyer would want. The problem started when my Lender called to tell me that my Agent Called which was fine (verifying financing) What I didn’t like was when my Agent called right after my Lender and Lied stating that the «owner» of the property had called my agent to verify lending. after 10 minutes of chatting, I let my new agent know that my lender had already called and explained that SHE. My Agent had contacted him which was fine but only after I had mentioned this to her did my agent say «Well, the seller called and I was just silently listening in on 3-​way» Huh? Who does that? How professional is this? This isn’t some sort of highschool Gossip Hour where people are calling on 3-​way silently. I didn’t think people still did this.
After speaking with the Managing Broker at this Office, We were able to get out of 3 day buyers agent contract and had come to the conclusion that they werent a good fit for us as well as we not being a great fit for them. After this, we found a FANTASTIC Agent with Remax and he has been working HARD for us!!! so Baird and Warner may not be for everyone. We know that they aren’t for us

6÷9÷2011 — I decided to update my last review because I’m about to complete my second purchase (of a home working) with Laura Garcia. I purchased a condo back in 2006 with Juan Garcia and this time around I worked with Laura Garcia, WHAT A GREAT TEAM! I found this home within 2 weeks of searching. My house is beautiful. I’m a very happy client! Laura also helped me negotiate a $ 3K credit towards closing cost during the contract negotiations part of our transaction. My closing date is tomorrow, I can’t wait!
9÷10÷2009 — I loved working with Juan Garcia on the purchase of my Condo (in the Midway Airport area). We found the coziest condo, for the right price and Juan was able to negotiate the sellers to include a credit for all the closing costs. Juan did an excellent job representing me as his client. I definitely recommend Juan and his lovely wife to anyone who is interested in buying or selling. They are a great team to work with!

I really appreciated the help that I received in buying my first home from Baird and Warner. I used Laura and Juan Garcia out of the Oak Park office, and this husband and wife team impressed me so much with their professionalism and customer service.
The positive experience began the first time that I contacted B&W — they were very responsive and timely when I filled out a «please contact me» form on their website (which, I think, is second to none — I really like the way that it’s set up and is easy to navigate). Before Laura, Juan and I even started looking at houses, we had a meeting so they could understand what I wanted and needed and expected to pay. I never felt any «used car salesman» type pressure from either Laura or Juan, and they were both very patient when I would email long lists of questions or ask to go back to look at someplace for the 3^rd time. They were very knowledgeable about the area where I was looking, and if they didn’t know the answer to my endless questions, they knew who to ask.
I would recommend Laura and Juan to anyone who is looking for a realtor but most particularly to first time home buyers looking in the Oak Park area.
