Luv this place. Breakfast is reasonably priced and delicious. The pancakes and veggies sausage are my go to.

Can you give this place 10 stars? I can’t say enough good things about this café their coffee and drinks are amazing and food is delicious. I have been here over 100 times and can’t say enough good things they’re the corner stone of oak park arts district. You have to check out their Saturday mornings live music and breakfast!

Went yesterday and got take out breakfast and a coffee. Really liked the breakfast sandwich, but the potatoes could use som seasoning or browning. Had the Mexican spiced mocha too, think I’ll be back for coffee more often.

Stick with the coffee. Weeknight 5pm dinner with kids was an expensive bust($ 6.50 kids, $ 9 adult sandwich, $ 2 extra for soup. Soup was cold,(they removed $ 2 charge) the sandwich was gross with no tomato or garnish even. The kids meals were terrible – unrecognizable grilled cheese. I had to go home and cook.

I love their coffee drinks. I’ve explored some of their menu but honestly, I need to try more things before I can give an honest review. Parking has always been easy to find right in front. Their pastries are good. They do have a patio that I haven’t checked out yet and I haven’t eaten in yet, but I like to come here for coffee and that’s what they do best.

They offer Metropolis coffee which is delicious! Lattes are perfectly made and I love their iced coffee! Counter staff is always very cordial and friendly and wait staff is as well. I love their healthy options and their daily specials. The Buzz Café is an Oak Park treasure and one of the best parts of the arts district.

Very unique, cozy, and super friendly service! Art hanging on every square inch. I ordered the Mexican mocha and had a DELICIOUS pumpkin whoopie pie! Lady at the counter was soooo sweet. If I’m in the area again, I’ll be back!

I think this place is a great neighborhood staple and convenient for locals. The coffee is great and it’s relaxing on a Saturday or Sunday morning to read the paper. My 3 stars is derived from the fact the employees never seem really customer friendly and warm like the baristas at Starbucks and Peete’s so that would completely be a coaching area if I were the owner of the establishment. Remember customer experience is all about the entire process from coffee to polite and energetic interaction.

I’m in here often for coffee and a croissant in the morning. Everyone is super friendly and I’m nearly always in and out! Seems like it’d be an awesome place to hang out at if I have spare time sometime.

This is one of the things that makes Oak Park special. The Buzz Café has a wonderfully distinctive feeling, from the local art on the wall to local music and meetings that are sometimes hosted. But the best part is the food, great healthy selections with lots of organic options.

Cute and arty place to get breakfast. We ordered the special crepes, pancakes, breakfast plate and French toast. I had the French toast and was disappointed. The bread didn’t seem to be cooked. It was golden brown on the outside but runny(?) when you cut into it. Everyone else in our group was very happy with their food so I might of just made a bad choice. The server was very friendly and made sure our coffee was always topped off. There are a few tables to sit outside. Lots of people seem to come in for to go coffees.

Nice lil spot in Oak Park to grab lunch(or breakfast– dinner too, if you like), do sl. e reading, and look at all the local art on the walls– every wall. Folks are mellow, but nice and the grilled cheese sandwich with bacon was a guilty pleasure :9 Buzz is the bizz! They also host a weekly event– Burgers, Beers, and Bands, you can bring your own brews! Awesome.

As a vegetarian I do appreciate being able to find plenty of veggie options in the menu… I almost always get the same things… soup of the day, rustic salad, side fruit, or grilled cheese panini. I used to order their yummy qursadillas but they took that off the menu :( Anyhow, I understand the food is healthy, natural, etc… but my god the prices are high. That’s the only thing that took off that one star. But overall, the service is excellent and the food is delicious.

Loved this artsy super cute coffeehouse! We just moved to Oak Park and we were craving breakfast so my boyfriend discovered this little gem through Unilocal.Once you walk in, you are thrown into a café with surreal and various types of art. Even the chairs have art on them! This is just not your ordinary coffeehouse too because they serve actual food, not just croissants or bagels, but actual food! I ordered the tofu breakfast scramble and it was stupendous! My boyfriend enjoyed his breakfast burrito and could not get enough of his cookies! Our service was stupendous! We will definitely be back!

I like the atmosphere and the décor of this café. Art on the walls, art on the chairs, it’s all very adorable and comfortable. The food tasted fine, but definitely too small of a portion for the $ 13 I paid for it. And it took a surprising amount of time, for how little effort it looked like it took. There was more wrap then filling and I’m pretty sure some of the ingredients that were listed on the menu were missing. I’ll be back for coffee, but probably not for food.

My wife suggested we go there for lunch as she had tried it before and I had not. I thought it was ok. The ambiance was fun as it reminded me of some small hipster coffee diners I remember going to while in college. Good coffee, average burger with a handful of ruffles. For the price I could have found a better burger, but I do like supporting small businesses so it was all good. I don’t know if I’d go out of my way to go back, but if I found myself in the area and was hungry, I’d probably give it another go.

Stopped in here on a Saturday around 10:30 to meet an ‘online date’ for the first time. The place was jumping. I guess I didn’t realize it was more of a breakfast spot, than just a coffee house — my bad. We were told about a 20 minute wait, and they took our name. We probably waited less than 10 minutes before we were sat at a very rickety table. The place is loud, and cramped, and small. The art work on the walls was really cool — worth checking out. I ordered a large non-fat latte. It came in a huge(like 20+ ounces) glass. It was just ok. My ‘date’ got a regular coffee. Service was good and prices were average. The date was a bust, but that had nothing to do with Buzz. If I was back in the area, I’d probably stop by. Maybe go at a more non-breakfast time.

Mini spontaneous girls lunch with my mom, and only my second time dinning in.(If I didn’t mention it before, the veggie panini is better at sbux, the desserts are hit or miss, but I did enjoy Sunday breakfast, mexican spice mochas, and Chai w almond milk.) We only went for a short walk and coffee but decided to stay because of the ham and spinach special sandwich of the day. I asked at the counter if they offered a vegetarian option for me, and I was told sure. The lady at the register said they had veggie sausage for an extra buck, and the guy said he could maybe do something with eggplant and zuccchini. Yay! We decide to dine in. I think it should be noted that being a vegetarian, the only thing interesting about a ham sandwich special is the other stuff on the sandwich which is not ham. In this case, it was the sautéed spinach. I place my order for zucchini, eggplant, and veggie sausage on the sandwich in place of ham(as discussed at the counter) and am told they’re out of zucchini and I can only pick veggie sausage OR eggplant. I’m told I «can’t» have both. *blink* Now, I knew there would be a dollar extra charge for the veggie sausage, which was fine. So saying I could only choose one or the other, and cant have both, took me back a little. I’ve never heard of such a thing outside of a fastfood establishment. If it’s $ 3 or $ 4 more to make it the way I want it, fine. Let me know and give me the option to have it the way I want it. The sandwiches arrive, I’m starved. I totally clean my plate. It was very, very yummy! Best thing I’ve ever had there. After I swallowed it, I realized there was no spinach on it… the reason I ordered it anyway. I was disappointed, but didn’t mind too much because it was still good. My mom checked her sandwich to see that hers was missing spinach, too. Instead of taking my mom’s back to add spinach(it was too late for me), they took one dollar off both sandwiches and handed me the bill. *blink* My mom didn’t particularly care for her sandwich… probably because the missing spinach broke hers.(Veggie sausage probably has more flare than pig.) Handing me the bill before asking if I want anything else is a lot worse than not asking if everything was okay(which she didn’t). It’s like saying«bye! leave!» And so we did. Considering I actually did want to order something else, I wasn’t very pleased. I will be back to Buzz, but my mom(who insisted I write this review) declares she’s sticking to the coffee. I HOPE the next update will be 4 or 5 stars.

I feel like I may be in the minority with my 5-star rating at least as of late. At worst, Buzz Café deserves 4-stars. As it’s in my neighborhood, I’ve been here countless times and have always had a great total all-around experience… it gets the 5-star treatment. If you ever wanted to visit Oak Park and get a true feel of the town in just one go… Buzz Café is it. Buzz Café is the ‘cool side’ of Oak Park… what the rest of Oak Park strives to be — an eclectic, mellow, ‘place to be’…without even trying. The Buzz is the cultural epicenter of this western suburb. The Buzz is super local, super friendly, and super inviting.(How many more times can I say super about this place?!) The décor is colorful and a little quirky with mismatched painted chairs and paintings for sale hung everywhere. During open hours, there’s a constant stream of people in and out for both coffee and a sit down meal. If you go for weekend brunch, my advice is to go a little early or a little late. That way you won’t have to wait too long(or at all!) for a table. Both food and coffee are really good — the coffee, especially. I typically order the Aztec mocha and get a Wrap or a Burger.

It does have a pretty great vibe when you walk in — there’s framed art by local artists all over the walls, and the chairs are very colorfully painted(my favorite was the one that said«I Love Horses). I ordered the Mediterranean wrap that was on special and a cherry Italian soda. The wrap was pretty bland and the Italian soda tasted watered down — not a whole lot of cherry flavor. There was also a gnat flying around us as my friend and I ate which was pretty obnoxious. There is an upside, though — the brownie we split was DELICIOUS. After we left, though, we realized we both smelled a lot like grease, which was a total bummer, and also kind of weird because I don’t even think that there was anything fried on the menu.
