For $ 500, I «won» a $ 700 certificate at a charity silent auction. It allowed me $ 350 credit for the session and $ 350 credit toward photos purchased. When I called I found out that a decent family portrait(24×30 would be …are you sitting down…$ 2,899 and 28×36 would be $ 3499) As a price comparison, D’Lara in Downers Grove offered a sitting for $ 200($ 50 extra for onsite) and all digital images. A 24×30 canvas was $ 450 That is at least reasonable. Guess I will chalk up my auction winning as a tax deductible gift and do business with D’Lara. I suppose my W2’s don’t line up with their customers…

I wish Unilocal had 10 stars because that’s what I would rate Eberts Studio. I got a Groupon before Christmas which we used for a family photo. Jeff, the photographer, and his staff(Agnes/Marta) are just amazing. Jeff is talented and was able to make us feel at ease and get our children to genuinely smile which is not easily done. We LOVE the final product and are very impressed(so is everyone else who visits our home). So much so that my sister who lives in Florida is going to take her family portrait with Jeff next time she is in town. The process is very professional. You get to see the proofs on a large TV and you don’t feel rushed at all. They even came out to my car to deliver the final product because my children were sleeping in the car(thank you Agnes!). This is worth every penny. My husband wasn’t overly excited about taking the family photo but was impressed with the whole process and says it was money very well spent. We love our portrait and will treasure it forever. Best. Photographer. Ever.

Our family has taken at least four family photos with Jeff through the years. Each one is better than the last. He is warm and friendly and the end result is beautiful photography for your home, gifts or cards… you can be photographed in his studio or during warmer months, outdoors in the garden or park… stunning photography!

Ebert made our Christmas card photos last year, and we’ll be back again this year! They are friendly, reasonably priced, and they do a great job. The photographer was wonderful with our 18mo, he got a ton of great photos, & when we went through the proofs, he really took his time & didn’t rush us. The process is fun — photo session at a cool old victorian house with light filled studio on the top floor(or in their new outdoor garden), then a week or so later, you come in to see the proofs, which they can manipulate on the fly. You view the pics on a HUGE plasma-screen tv(I would say monitor, but this thing is truly enormous — monitor doesn’t do it justice). Then make your order, get the pics in a few weeks! fun, fun!
