This review is nothing against the food or wait staff but on the management. I dined in on 2÷12÷16 and as usual was taken care of by a wonderful waitress. She had a few tables and one large party of people celebrating a birthday. The restaurant was packed. The waitress never skipped a beat with attending us. I decided to leave the waitress a compliment with the manager so I called in after I left. I believe I spoke with Jim or Tim. I gave him the compliment on his staff and he didn’t even thank me for taking the time to call, praising his employee, or even dinning at his restaurant. He gave me some one word answer and that was it. I guess complimenting good service is the least of their worries at this location. With so many other options out there the very least he should’ve done was acknowledge this. Poor management!

Deep Dish 5⁄5 Plain Cheese or with Ground Beef. GREATGREAT… I always get light on the sauce and it’s always prepared the way I love it… every time. It’s my 1st stop every time I’m in the Chicago area. I make sure to get 2 to take back home. Highly recommend this place for the best deep dish ever!!!

Went on a Friday night about five pm. Two adults and four children. Very unorganized upon arrival. The place was empty but had a hard time finding where to seat us. Waitress took for ever to come but once she did was prompt and very nice. Ordered a chesse(thin crust) for kids and another thin crust for us. Took forever! Mgr came over and said our pizza Mae wrong but could bring us the wrong one they cooked if we wanted??? I said bring the chesse out and put ours in correctly and to go. Waitress came over complaining about the pizza guy is a mess and messes up orders constantly. Kids ate and we waited and waited. Finally our pizza was ready and we paid and left. Almost a two hour experience. For pizza. Never again. Too many other better options in the area. They did give us a dessert to go and 10 off our bill which was appreciative.

The pizza is great but carry out service is horrible. Can’t order online. Always a long line for the only cashier who tries to multitask.

Terrible! Tourists, this is a poor example of Chicago style pizza. The service here– poor and they include the tip already on the bill. Refused to split the bill for our party. A slap in the face to places like Gino’s– they weep for what this place purports to sell as Chicago style. Avoid this place Look to north avenue or Roosevelt road. There are no good Chicago style pizza places in oak park on Chicago avenue. Caveat emptor

I’ve been to other Gioradanos, and this one is probably the worst one out of all of them. Something was broken with the oven, and not all of our appetizers came, and the pizza took forever to come. Worst, the restaurant is almost completely empty! Revise your staff!

Moved here about a year ago and have had a hard time finding decent delivery pizza. Giordano’s is the absolute worst. First the woman who picked up the phone was rude. Then my pizzas took an hour and a half to receive even though I was quoted an hour to an hour fifteen. Seems minor except the extra time was supposed to be because I ordered a deep dish. However, the order was wrong and there was no deep dish at all. I live less than a mile away and called at 3:45 on a Saturday so I’m not sure what took so long. The pizza that was wrong was also overlooked, dry, and had so little sausage that some of the slices had none at all. Both pizzas were cold. $ 55 plus a tip for two greasy, cold medium pizzas(one of which was not as ordered and overcooked), an entrée salad and a soda. Never again.

This is a busy location. You will wait regardless of whether you are just picking up or eating in. The food is hit or miss depending on who is working that night. That is just the truth. This most recent visit was truly disappointing. Any deep dish is going to take no less than 45 minutes to an hour so don’t expect it ready any earlier than that for pick up. There is street parking and I believe you can use the lot next door to park but I’m not 100% sure so beware of any parking signs. Don’t risk a ticket! The employees are average in terms of friendliness and efficiency. We come here because of convenience in terms of location to us when we are in town. I personally love Lou’s better but Giordanos definitely has more name recognition when it comes to Chicago style deep dish pizza. The Giordano slices are huge and you will fill up quick. Eat in good health.

Went here for date night. One of my favorite stuffed pizza places. We ordered the Chicken Sausage Deluxe with Spinach and Mushrooms. It was delicious to put it mildly. OMGoodness. Our waitress was very nice and informative. I would recommend this place time and time again.

Deep dish pizza is so famous in Chicago that even I, definitely not a big fan for pizza, thought I should try that. We got cheese + 2 additional ingredients deep dish pizza(mushroom and BBQ chicken) in smallest size. And it was sooooo huge! Not bad. If you were crazy for cheese, you would love that.

Deep dish pizza beats out New York-style pizza any day in my opinion. Nothing signifies Chicago more than the gooey soft cheese running out of thick crusted pizza topped with homemade tomato sauce. I always go for the spinach deep dish. I am a creature of habit… sorry wish I could give a review on more items. This was actually my first time dining in, but it was a comfortable homey experience. Pizzas take approximately 45 minutes, so we ordered the garlic parmesan fries as a starter. They are nothing special and the serving is not very large, but for $ 3 they should tie you over until the pizza comes out. If you are looking for something filling and delicious, this is definitely the best bang for your buck. It usually takes me only one slice to be full. Granted, I am a small eater, but I don’t think most people will be able to eat more than three slices even.

It’s Giordano’s. It gets 5 stars no matter what. The pizza is just as good as the Rush location. The service could be better though. Done, short review.

We ordered a small cheese deep dish and parmesan garlic fries. The fries were very good but when the pizza came out it wasn’t hot. We were literally the only people in the restaurant at that time. I expected my first bit to be blazing hot not barely room temperature. I brought this up to the manager and thanked me for the notice. I would have thought maybe he would have knocked a few bucks off the tab but no. I won’t be going there again. That was the 2nd negative experience at that location.

Came here today for the first time to try their famous deep dish pizza! To my surprise, it was very delicious and very filling. We ordered a small pepperoni deep dish and only one slice made me full. The only down thing is that it does take 40min to be ready. So I would recommend to order it as soon as you sit down.

Pizza ok but beware if you order delivery and provide your credit card. I tipped the driver in cash. Reviewing my credit charges the next week the pizza charge looked high. I called the cc company to find there was a $ 10 tip added to the bill. Appalled I disputed the charge, and asked if there was anything else I needed to do. They recommended letting the manager know. I called and asked for the manager. Once the manager came on line I had to ask multiple times what his name was, he wouldn’t identify himself. Finally he admitted it was Jim. I related what had happened and what occurred next surprised me more than the overcharge. Jim tried to tell me that it was the credit card company that was responsible, then contradicted this by saying they put in the amount when ordered so had no control over this. I’ve done customer service and credit charge submission, this is preposterous. While you do get a preapproval, the tip would have to be added later. I typically put a slash through the tip line with a transaction like this, and a slash vs someone adding a zero is a big difference. The manager Jim disavowed any responsibility, did not even take the time to do something gracious like indicate he would check into it or speak the driver etc. consequently I have ZERO faith in their ability to process or be responsible for a financial transaction. I will not ever order from them again, or step foot in their restaurant. I do not yet have any way of knowing if related but this is not a card I use often and particularly during this period, but less than a month after this my cc was fraudulently used for an online purchase which required the security code, the code which they asked for when running this transaction. Have not had this happen before with any card I have, left a very bad taste in my mouth and made me distrust this Giordanos handling of what should be a secure payment. Jims complete lack of concern for a customer and the trust they are accorded every time someone hands over such information does nothing to deserve further business.

Not only was the pizza good, but there was a gorgeous light skin woman with a group of friends there. Both made my night, the simple things in life. The service was good, very polite. I’ll be returning.

A classic place for Chicago style deep dish pizza. I ordered the«small» veggie pie which comes with 6 small slices and can easily feed two! The waiter was super friendly, advised that we get an appetizer for the 45 minute wait which turned out to be really a half hour. They have free refills on Sparkling Water which I thought was cool. Overall, I would definitely come back to this location. The one on N. Michigan Ave has no parking available… Ever.

we came here before our architecture tour at frank lloyd wright’s home and studio. we had bought tickets for 12:40 and arrived at giordano’s at around 11:30. when we found out that it took about 45 minutes to bake the stuffed crust we were worried about not making our tour, but they made sure that we were taken care of and the pizza came out a bit faster than 45 minutes. the service was amazing and super friendly. the food itself was so delicious! we ordered a medium for three people and ended up with three extra slices. the pizza was so full of cheese which is just the way i like it. very filling, delicious, and satisfying. overall a great meal to end my trip to chicago!

Great pizza and good service. Went this past Saturday while in town visiting Chicago with my friend. Only complaint would be not enough toppings in the stuffed pizza. Also the manager was rude when our waitress dropped my friend pizza on the floor while it was on the box. He didn’t want to discount her pizza but finally he agreed after minutes of complaining.
