We’re very pleased with Oak Park’s library. The staff have always been helpful and the recent makeover the building & library got were much-needed. I enjoy going to the (much brighter, more modern) library with my 18-month-old. We play and get materials. It’s not as open to play as some of the other public libraries, perhaps because it is smaller, which is why I give it ⁴⁄₅ stars. There is no «separate» kids area, so I don’t feel I can let my kiddo fully explore. However, as an adult I like the amount of DVDs (adults/kids/new), CDs, books on CD, and books they have to offer. My husband and I are really pleased with their services and hours, especially considering they have to cut back due to budgets. Posted on their FB page, too.
