I get their bagels every day from another deli, Short Stop on Rt. 23. The bagels are inconsistent. One day, they’re dark and crispy(the way I like them), the next, they’re white and anemic looking. Whoever is doing the baking at this place needs to learn consistency. The fact that the kids working there don’t wear gloves is a total hygenic turnoff also.

I was driving through town this morning, as hungry as a horse and came across this hidden gem. Bagels were fresh from the oven and well cooked. Breakfast hit the spot and didn’t break the bank. Would definitely stop in again and recommend.

I live in this town so I have come here on several occasions, however its out of sheer lack of options. The staff does not wear gloves and are generally rude. Do not expect a greeting or any manners in this establishment. My worst experience was finding a hair in my bagel sandwich which kept me away for a year. I went this week and the middle aged cashier had a nasty attitude. Like I said, I only go here out of sheer necessity.

Went back again today for the first time in quite a while. The nasty signs are gone, so that’s a step in the right direction. However, all the people who work there(mostly young girls who look like they just rolled out of bed in their sweats and came in to work without showering) STILL don’t wear any gloves while prepping the food. I saw them handle raw tomatoes, push hot food onto bagels with their fingers, and handle MONEY(yuck!) all in the same transaction, all with bare hands, and without a glove present. Once I saw this, I left. The place is always packed on Sunday mornings, so I guess most people don’t notice/care about these issues. And the manager obviously doesn’t because of that. I do, and won’t be back.

Employees need to wear gloves as the other reviewer mentioned! They touch the cash register, money, and other various food items without washing or changing gloves. Actually she only wore one glove but then I watched as the employee helping me wiped her sniffly nose up her hand and wrist then continue making my food with that ungloved hand. I didnt know what to say at the time so when I got home I called the manager. He just made excuses for her and said she must have had an itch or something. Well… She should have either used her arm or washed afterwards. I wont go back. Thats just gross! Dont know why I bought the food. I didnt know what to do while I was there. FYI The following is from FDA FDA also advises that hands be washed after *Eating, *Drinking, *Using tobacco, *Coughing, *Sneezing, *Using tissue, *Preparing raw animal products, *Handling dirty equipment, and *Touching the body(such as scratching your nose). «Or wiping your nose with your hand! »
