Mario’s Pizza

Orderd food for delivery and the food was just awful chicken wing’s didn’t even look cooked and the pizza was just awful as well sorry but 3 strikes and your done never again!

Two stars because the food is great, really deserving of 5 stars. However, the staff answering the phone are both rude and incompetent. They interrupt while you’re speaking, have separate conversations while you try to place your order and often don’t know their own menu. Lots of «huhs» and «whats» from them. I always have to ask what my total is and how long until delivery because they are trying to rush me off the phone. That information should be standard. Way too much competition in the area and gracious competition at that to bother calling again. And that’s exactly what you are treated as — a bother. They should fix the sign outside which has become a terrible eyesore!

Would not order from there again. Calamari was rubbery and I found a piece of plastic in it. Wings were cooked ok, but they were covered in pepper flakes to make them hot. Chicken Marsala was served with mushy pasta with red sauce on it so it clashed with the Marsala sauce. Gluten free pizza had a thick, undercooked dough.

I really like their pizza and the service is always top notch. I’m new in the area and have been trying out the local pizza joints and Marios is slowing become my go-​to pizza place. They’ve consistently made tasty pie and the prices are great.

Before I get to the food, these guys have the nicest delivery folks ever.
This place is under new ownership. The deals are incredible! The food is not. They’re obviously grabbing everything off the back of a Sysco or US Foodservice truck. Second time we’ve tried them, this time we got the Pizza Special, Wings, Knots, large Pie and a 2 liter for $ 20. Awesome price.
The knots were OK but under salted. The wings were prefab, frozen product and garbage. The pie was flat and flavorless. The sauce is sweet like Contadina or another supermarket canned sauce. The crust is chewy, tasteless and synthetic… premade like something you’d get in a highway rest stop.
Hey, it’s a new owner. They’re probably shaking off the cobwebs. The prices are incredible, I hope over time the value of the food increases, as the customer service is great. It seems like they want to make this place work. I will go back… in a couple of months.

UPDATE: Owners have changed. The white pizza I used to love was a sad, mushy mess the last time we ordered. The alfredo I craved was a watery disaster. It’s so incredibly sad to see this place go downhill. The delivery service continues to take forever, as in an hour when we only live 6 minutes away. Back to the old standby of Frank’s.

Great, homemade, fresh food! Nice staff– great place to grab a bite to eat in Jefferson! Highly recommend!

Having moved to this area 6 years ago I was thrilled to find this place, literally the best pizza I have ever had. Sadly I saw they were under new management. Just ordered a pie 1\1\14 LOUSY! Sadly another good place gone! I could smell the difference the minute I opened the box.

My family orders delivery almost weekly. The house salad with fresh mozz is delicious BUT you have to make sure when you order MARIO is working! If he isn’t, the food is LOUSY! It seems none of his other staff knows how to make a pizza and/​or cook. The pizza is A-​OK, nothing special. One of my favorite dinners is the chicken sub with breaded chicken, the works, mayo and cheese. It’s different everytime I order it. I find that its the best when MARIO is working. the bread is perfectly toasted and the chicken is DONE RIGHT. my last experience, it was disgusting and I didn’t even end up eating it. One time I had to call and complain saying they made it completely wrong and they complimentary had the boy deliver a new one, done the way I wanted it, but I had to wait 30 extra minutes and the nasty girl on the phone said to send my old one back… what are they going to do with it exactly. eat the rest of my uneaten sub? or make sure im not lieing? I was kind of offended by this because we order from them frequently and to request food back is poor etiquette. Whatever. as long as MARIO is working, I’m happy.

Went in today and the food was horrible! Just read a comment that it has new owners. If that’s the case, guess I won’t be going back. Unless they learn how to cook

New owners. Great pizza. We have been here a couple of times now. Had meatball sandwich tonight. It had all three, good bread, good meatballs, and good sauce. We will be back to try some other things off the menu.

Great authentic hand tossed pizza! Love the fresh garlic! My nephew’s favorite is pepperoni, garlic knots and mozzarella sticks! A must visit every time I am back in Jersey!
