Volunteer Wildlife Control

Called Volunteer Wildlife Control as squirrels had chewed thru the soffit in two places and we were concerned they were in the attic. Their website states they repair and seal animal openings. Spoke with the son, Kayden, who told me he charges $ 240 for trapping and would set traps outside on the roof and in the attic and would look at the repair needed.
Once he got to the house he called and said that the «holes are where he can’t reach them and he would have to rent a ladder». I asked him where he placed the outside traps and he said he placed them on the roof. WHAT??? I asked him if he placed traps on the roof why can’t he repair the holes? Kayden said he didn’t have a ladder that would let him do that safely. All of a sudden he said he could repair the two holes for «$ 400».
I told him that I’d find someone else and ask for recommendations to repair. He gave me the names of other wildlife control «specialists».
When all was said and done I asked Kayden what the results where from the trapping. He said he had nothing from the attic but was proud that he had trapped four squirrels OUTSIDE! No joke, really? Outside? Great job.
BTW, I called Brogdon Roofing and had the two holes sealed AND all gutters cleaned for $ 250. They had ladders.
