I do not recommend this so called Doctor. I was referred by my primary Doctor to see Dr. Chua for rectal pain. The first visit I was seen by his partner who told me I would need a colonoscopy and possible biopsy so they can find out what was causing my pain. I was prescribed antibiotics for a possible infection. After my colonoscopy I read the report and it stated no biopsy was performed but then I saw the biopsy report and it said the findings were negative. I was given more antibiotics after the colonoscopy. I went for my 2 week post op only to wait 3 hours before I was seen. Many patients were complaining that Dr. Chua either prescribed meds that were not working or that he performed surgery and they were experiencing worse issues than before. I finally see him he goes over the report. I was hoping he was going to come up with a plan of care for me. Instead he says if you’re still having the same pain then you need to see a colo-rectal surgeon and there is nothing else I can do for you. He gave no recommendation he said I could«look one up». He said it’s probably hemorrhoids but he doesn’t do a surgery like that. He said colo-rectal docs do those surgery, but you’re butchering your other patients with surgeries that no gastrointestinal doc should be performing. I asked about the colonoscopy report and why it stated no biopsy was done when he said it would be. He said it must be a typo and he would correct it. Never received a revised copy. I have a suspicion that my colonoscopy was incomplete so my insurance could be billed at a higher cost. I still have pain and cannot find another doctor to perform another colonoscopy because they cannot believe that a Doctor would perform an incomplete exam. Please stay away from this office.

I had an endoscopy done by Dr. Chua. I was quite nervous as it was my first medical procedure, and he DR told me I would be asleep during the procedure. I had lots of questions and wanted photos of my endoscopy results and Dr Chia laughed at me, told me this is never done in the US(not true) and told me I don’t need to see the photos because I am not a doctor and wouldn’t even know what I was looking at. Overall not pleasant and I did not fall asleep like he told me by the way.

Just got my colonoscopy done by Dr. Chua this past Thursday must admit, like a typical«male» I was nervous and not comfortable with the thought of the procedure, but I must say that Mike and the rest of his staff were very friendly and professional and made the entire experience very comfortable! I’d crack a joke about having doc at least take me to dinner first, buuuuuuuuuuuuuuut: p Everything was very smooth… would recommend to friends and family!

Steer clear! I visited this gastroenterologist for a colonoscopy. I was drugged before I ever met the doctor, samples of my body tissue were removed from my body without my knowledge or consent, the staff refused to tell me the name of the lab that allegedly is to process my «specimen» improperly taken from me, the staff hung up on me after giving me the wrong information, and the doctor spent more time trying to «upsell» more services and tests to me, than explaining why he did what he did. When I called to speak with someone with authority in this office, the secretary did not have the doctor call me, my questions were never answered, and my requests were not honored. Serious deficiencies in customer/patient services and I would not recommend!
