In awe of this school, they have become family to me. They feed my soul, push me to follow my heart and remind me of the things I have forgotten. If you are up in the air about coming here, schedule a tour and see when you walk in if it feels like home. Such amazing energy here, top notch teachers, even the students here are just fabulous. I’m here for the science classes and the cirriculum is fantastic. The most encouraging and supportive group of people I’ve ever met, they have inspired me to become a teacher too.

Okay, I’m a newbie here at the school, but I really think that I just happen to be going to the best school in California ;-) Am very happy with the things am learning and the methods of teaching and the staff!

I have been a student since April 2015. This school teaches all about anatomy and physiology, swedish massage, and so many other different modalities, that truely make you feel like your ready to go out and start your buisiness. I would definately recommend this school for learning massage therapy and being in the healing hands on field.

From the moment I first walked through the doors of the institute to talk about class, I felt that I was home. Jan and all of her instructors are very knowledgeable and ready to help you learn. Here, you are part of a family. The environment is wonderful, the teachers are here to help and you will learn a trade. If you have any doubts about this school, go in and talk to Jan because she will change your life!

Someone made a comment about 5 students from Holistic Life Institute, working on him, and they never worked on his neck, that’s very hard to believe because I am a student there, and we always do the neck, it’s part of the sequence!

After going to 5 different graduates from this school I finally learned to ask when making an appointment ‘what school did you go to.’ I am talking FIVE GRADUATES that did not address my neck even after I told them that was why I was there. They didn’t even get near it in an hour massage, none of them. How can you teach massage therapy and not address the neck, the clients main concern? Having a strong family medical background I can tell you this doesn’t click. My new therapist with 12 years experience addresses the neck perfectly. I just don’t understand how you can teach like that. I feel stupid for not asking after the first experience with the waste of money and time.

My husband and I just graduated from this wonderful school. They were so helpful and had a untapped wealth of knowledge. we really loved the videos and the professional way of teaching conveying the information we needed to become better therapist.

Ok .when I first heard of this school, I checked Unilocal and this school only had one review so I was a little apprehensive. Now that I have attended a bit, I know this school deserves many, good reviews. The subject matter and school could help the many so people, I feel compelled to write this.

I bumped into the owner of HLI, Jan, at a Health Fair and was so surprised to know this school existed in Oakdale.
I would say the locals are very blessed to have this school in their area. I’ve only been there a few months and have learned so much. Jan and the teachers are so knowledgeable. The students are awesome. It’s well worth the long drive each way to attend.
Some of the programs and subjects include and not limited to Eastern and Western Massage, Holistic Health Advisor /​Practitioner, Aromatherapy, Essential oils. Yoga, Tai Chi, Homeopathy, etc and my favorite with Jan and Carole Nutri-​esssence. I’m currently attending the Holistic Health and also the special monthly teacher training class Jan offers.
The owner Jan is a wonderful, caring, giving person. She’s a happy, upbeat person and a hoot ! Jan is very kind to work with peoples’ schedules ect.
Jan’s goal seems to be to provide knowledge and help many others. She encourages people to teach and open their own facilities. Thus, helping humanities as a whole. I respect and appreciate that very much,
The students and classrooms are so nice and family like. The classes are not huge and very interactive. The diverse personalities and ages in the classroom are so neat. I told them I feel like I’m in the «Breakfast Club» (Movie :) Its really family like.
Whether it be the students that attend for the knowledge base or teaching people to open schools and offer teaching f their own, I recommend this school very much.
Jan also offers, once a student completes their certificate, they are welcome to sit in on any classes in the future.

im going to school here for Massage and Health and I recommend it to all interested. Jan is so great with flexability with schedules. And classes are good sizes to learn.
