I had the tri-tip sandwich which was good, but omg, the New York steak sandwich is so great! Came back a second time in the week because it was to my liking. I asked for mayo and mustard. The paso le soup was very good!

I give 3 stars for the service salad bar and the steak sandwich. I have been here about 5 times in the last 6 months, the first was my anniversary with my husband. We had steak dinners that were not cooked the way we ordered. Too much fatty pieces as well. The 2nd time i came back my children and i wanted to try a burger, so we ordered the only burger they had which was very disappointing. The last time i came back was not by choice but by a friendly gathering that had already been chosen by others. I told myself i would just get the salad bar and be okay. Well that days special was a steak sandwhich so i decided to try it since the salad bar came with it. It was by far the best thing I’ve ordered from there. I also ordered onion rings and had the best split pea soup I’ve ever eaten. So with this last experience i know now that i will go back and only order this sandwich and have the salad bar as well.

This was our first time here, and we will definitely be coming back. Our steaks were cooked to perfection and JUICY! Came with all you can eat salad bar and soup. Our server Brytnii was awesome, thank you Brytnii, when we return we will be asking for you.

Haven’t had a steak dinner in years! I’m stuffed in a good way! So many places charge for the extras… not the house of beef! Had a 16 oz ribeye with salad bar, bread, mashed taters(yes I said taters), chili beans, and a cold beer. The offer BBQ sauce, horseradish, and au jus to go with yer beef! Total bill $ 21.57. The service by Elisa was great by the way. She even offered to cut my steak for me(my shoulder is broke/in a sling) This place is all Oakdale!

Food was ok, but I expected more. Staff and atmosphere were very nice. With a name lime House of Beef, I was expecting to be overloaded and overwhelmed in bovine goodness, and it just wasn’t there.

Ribeye is juicy and was cooked perfectly medium to my request. Small salad bar all you can eat is nice, plus a couple of soups. Meat vegetable soup had tender pieces of steak Tri tip sandwich probably best value

A large selection of jerky and beef cuts. We bought a pie here: blueberry. A bit too sweet but it was still pretty tasty. The bathrooms were clean.

Good value/money. They have a decent salad bar. We tried baby ribs that includes all you can eat salad and soup bar and it was delicious! The full rack is big, we shared for 2 people. In general the dinner plates are big. The service was perfect, the waitress was so nice.

This place is terrible, On two visits the food was sub par to be polite, Intrigued by the Bone in Rib eye and shrimp dinner I ordered it. The rib eye was so thin it could not be cooked properly and the thickness of the bone was twice the size of the meat, It is impossible to properly sear each side with out over cooing the steak is which is what happened. I asked the server how many shrimp I was to receive and she replied ” 6 «, it was to be done up in a Red tail ale batter which sounded good. The shrimp served was of cock tail shrimp size in a huge balloon of batter, a skimpy portion to say the least The salad bar looked tired and the lettuce was brown on the edges, far from appetizing. Easy to drive by this place.

Tonight, three of us went to the House of Beef for dinner and tonight three of us will never return to House of Beef. We started our meal with the soup and salad bar. The wimpy salad bar options were off putting but I was hoping that the chicken and rice soup would bring the dinner back into play. While I was looking for rice in my chicken and rice soup I found noodles, frozen vegetables which consisted of cauliflower and corn, and no chicken. I ordered the Gorgonzola Steak Salad, and it was horrible. I was served tomatoes in my salad that were quarter chunked, I mean huge quarters, as opposed to the diced cuts that were listed in the menu. I was given wilted lettuce and a cut of very fatty«seared» steak. It was then elevated to a high level of awful by the two flies that continuously buzzed around and landed in my salad. I had two bites and was finished. I could NOT continue to eat it. My friend ordered the tri-tip sandwich with«the works» and fries. The tri-tip, if you could even call it that, was paper thin and D-R-Y. It too was inedible. My brother, and third guest of the dinner, ordered the pork ribs with mashed potatoes and glazed carrots. The mash potatoes were served with no gravy or butter, the carrots were over done and the pork ribs were so FATTYANDGREASY. When we spoke to the waitress about our dinner her response was nothing more than«yeah, sometimes they’re hit and miss. Would you like a dessert menu?» What?! Hit and miss? If you’re going to name and run a restaurant called the House of Beef, shouldn’t your beef from the first two dishes always be a hit? And to destroy pork ribs is inexcusable. The waitresses, instead of waiting on us, counted tips and discussed how they would be attending Applebee’s after work for«their perfect margaritas», and«good time». One even took her work shirt off and sat at the bar in her spaghetti strapped undershirt and bra. It’s disappointing that the dinner was terrible as well as the service. We were really hoping for a regular spot and a good meal. We left with empty stomachs and an empty wallet. Such a shame.

If you have a sensitive nose beware!!! As soon as you walk in the Smell of this place is blood n beef of course. I am not a Great beef eater. Menu is Extensive. They have a lot of beef on here. Service was good. We ordered Potato Fries with cheese n bacon as a appetizer they were delicious. Burger was huge n very flavorful n gets you full for days. Chicken strips are tender n homemade. Fries were regular.

Love this place… great tri-tip sammiches, decent soup and salad bar. Awesome french fries, bbq sauce. Had a rib-eye that was awesome my first visit. Last time I went and had a rib-eye I was disappointed. But the tri-tip have never let me down.

Best butcher in town with the best selection of meat. the restaurant is nice and wait staff if friendly. The potato skins are very tasty, hamburgers are the same, and tri tip sandwich with fries is good. The tri tip sandwich is like a french dip more than a tri tip. If you want just tri tip get the platter. Salad bar is okay but save your cash.

The food was reasonably good, but my bride and I just had Chicken Caesar Salads. I didn’t really see something that really tickled my desire for beef or chicken. Too bad. Maybe next time. Service was good, to very good, but our male server kept touching my shoulder with his hand every time he came to our table. Minus one star. Prices are reasonable for what you get. The same salad at Applebee’s would be twice the price but only half the salad. A good deal if you ask me. It’s little doubt that most people who patronize the restaurant are living on farms, but gads: of 14 families who left the restaurant in the hours after we arrived, 5 of 14 closed the restaurant door upon leaving. I. E., most left the door standing wide open. You folks born in a barn? Good hospitality here. Lots of people laughing and having fun. .
