Yep, went back to the donkey last Monday and the masculine brunette was working again. Have you seen her Adams apple throat? Anyway walked past a couple of arguing people at the pool table and a stupid man who tried to pinch my boob going to the bathroom. Walking past the men’s room and all of a sudden I get this whiff of urine. When I finished my drink, I swear I could still smell the damn urine. It was so bad I had to cancel the thought of getting a pizza next door. I sure hope management figures this out cause I think the place stinks like you know…

I used to like this place, but the last time I went the bartender was so unnecessarily and surprisingly rude to me that I will never return and will inform others about my experience at this bar.

Thank you Michelle for being an absolutely great and accommodating host and bartender. We came here with about 10 of our bridal party and Michelle gave myself and my fiancée free shots to celebrate our upcoming wedding! She poured strong all night and made sure we all had a good time. They have a pool table and jutebox to keep things fun too!

Great dive bar! Fun bartender and environment. Pool table, juke box, and cheap beer! $ 2.00 bud lights. Silly memorabilia all over the wall, including signed dollars from patrons on walls and ceiling. Located a few blocks south of Unilocal pinned location.

My family and I stopped by here after a funeral for a great family member, and this place really brought our spirits up! The bartender was extremely friendly and attentive as well as the other patrons, great music on the juke box, pool table, and other fun games that will be sure to get everyone laughing, not to mention the great pictures and murals on all the tables and walls!!!

LOVED this place! Came at the end of an eventful night of other festivities with a large group. It was still early yet and the place was not crowded. The bartender was attentive and handled our group well. The place was adorable and my friends who were getting married in the area wrote on a dollar bill and stapled it to the ceiling. Reminded me of Clayton Club in Clayton, which is a true favorite of mine. Would definitely go back!

A surprising fun little bar. The bartender was great and was just what you want for a little dive bar. We played several rounds of pool and overall had a great time. My Jack and Coke was great.

I travel a LOT for work and usually the last place I want to go to is a bar at the end if my day. But something about the Dirty Donkey had us all intrigued. I walked in and instantly felt like I was at home. It is a little whole in the wall dive bar that tells a story as soon as you walk in. Jackie and Michele were so welcoming and warm and told is stories that made our heads spin. These two woman are as amazing as this bar. It is a total gem and everyone should check it out! If your looking for some posh snobby uptight bar go elsewhere this is not that it is much better. The place is as real as the stories and filler bills that line the walls and ceilings! I only wish they had one closer to home. The place is small and cozy and had lots of great locals and was pretty damn epic! You will totally miss out if you don’t stop by and say hello and have a drink with Michele and Jackie!

A true dive bar in every offending sense. The décor is wonderfully rude. The patrons might seem scary, but everyone was very friendly. The front door is almost lost next to the Chinese restaurant with which it shares the building. Take the effort to look for it — especially tourists because it’s perfectly located around a cluster of Oakhurst motels which helps avoid drinking and driving because it’s in walking distance. The bar is small, the outdoor area in back is even smaller, and there is only one pool table. The jukebox sounded good and was continually fed.

A great great bar! We came by because of the other reviews. Jessica was our hostess and did not disappoint! Johnny(the fireman) ruined the end of the bar doing the Vegas!(Jessica you know what I mean). Remember, there’s no ass like a dirty ass!

This place was next to our hotel(the Comfort Inn). At first we were turned off by the small, dingy appearance, but«in Unilocal I trust». I came here with my friend, and it really was a pretty cool place. This is definitely a small joint, mostly for locals I would assume. The drinks are good, and very cheap. They have a fully stocked bar with pretty decent stuff. $ 5 for pretty heavy Monster/Vodkas, and $ 2.50 for a 24oz Pabst… not bad at all. The bar(including the bathrooms) were surprisingly clean. They have a pool table, a jukebox(which was not very loud) and an outdoor patio area to hang out at. The bartender was excellent! Very friendly and took great care of us. Overall, it’s a great place to have a cheap drink and it’s actually quiet enough in there to hold a conversation. Definitely would come back! TIP — They don’t have a credit card machine. Make sure to bring cash!

How can anyone in their right mind drive past a place called the Dirty Donkey and not go in? Here’s what you’re gonna find inside(spoiler alert): * Funny pictures and things on the wall to laugh at; * A pool table to do your stupid trick shots * $ 2.50 for a 24 oz. Bud Light(how do they make any money?) * A chance at a bar room brawl(the bartender had to kick a bunch of people out the night we were there) * Drunk ass locals * Drunk ass tourists

If anyone was to go to a place(not specific) called Dirty Donkey while visiting in little Oakhurst, CA it would be me and the crew that I am traveling with. I mean with a name like this how can you not want to go and check it out to see if they serve beers, a little titty action or a petting zoo or a little of both? Not really what I expected but still we had an amazing experience at this special tavern which only recently opened up in 2009, it’s quite clean if they are going for the dive bar scene and the atmosphere is unique in a sense that certain décor reminded me of a Natural Museum while others photos and«art» reminded me of a Comedy Shop or Cheeky Gift Shop. Of course, our party of 5 all wanted shirts & tanks, especially the booty shorts… but unfortunately they were sold old. They need to keep that shit in stock, I mean they can make big money off that stuff, definately more than their beer & liquor as I thought to myself after enjoying a few beverages that were priced much lower than MMSRP or Monterey Market Suggested Retail Price. Can’t wait to go visit again next time we hit up Bass Lake! Even though we drove by it earlier, I didn’t know that it existed until some GPS, Google Maps, Unilocal or Foursquare picked it up on my new Droid«Incredible»… technology sure is incredible(totally being sarcastic). Funny, as I sat at the bar with my eyes glues to my cell phone screen, trying to Foursquare my ass(pun intended) on my cell to tell the whole world(again being sarcastic) that I was at the Dirty Donkey, my lady friend(slightly older than me) to my right joking said, «Remember when people used to talk to one another at the bar…» Funny coming from her mouth as she is the biggest Foursquare Whore that I know!
