Oakhurst Cleaners

This is the only cleaners in town… so I guess that’s why their prices are high. We were staying at the casino for the weekend. Took my pants in for wrinkles. Were told it would be a 2 days turnaround time. The prices were a lot higher for the same service in Fresno and they wouldn’t accommodate my request for sooner turnaround time. I just needed the wrinkles ironed out. So– NO-​I do not recommend this place.

Took in my favorite ol’ beat up SF Giants hat to these guys. They were nice enough to get it cleaned in a rush and did an outstanding job on it! Doesn’t even look like the same hat. Pristine!
I’ll be back with the rest of my collection!

I am new to the area, and after reading the reviews and getting a first hand negative review from my boss, I was trepiditious, but decided to make up my own mind, especially as they are pretty much the only dry cleaning game in town in the Yosemite area short of Fresno and Merced. I called in advance about the pick up service in Yosemite Valley and the woman I spoke with had no clue, so she took my name and number and promised to call me back when she got an answer. Still waiting on that call, along with World Peace.
I drove down to Oakhurst last weekend and dropped off a slew of pants and a military uniform for pressing only, so I can’t speak to the dry cleaning. While there I got set up for Valley delivery, and paid in advance,$ 20 to press five pairs of pants and the uniform. This took longer than my L.A. self liked because the woman helping me wasn’t sure about a lot of the logistics, but she was super nice and eventually things were sorted out. Most importantly, my items were delivered to the Valley and looked great by the following Tuesday. I had to laugh at the way I found out my stuff was there: A ranger stuck his head in my work area and told me, as he’d seen my uniform’s name tag. Viva la small town!

Great customer service by new owners & new location! Way better than dry cleaners in vons

Took my wedding dress here and my rehearsal dinner outfit when we arrived in town earlier in the week before our wedding. They had great turnaround and everything turned out great. I didn’t really have many options so, I handed them my dress and crossed my fingers. My dress had a bunch of pleated ruffles in it and I was worried that when it was «pressed» they would all come out. They didn’t, but there were some areas where the lace overlay didn’t quite lay flat and where one or two of the pleats wasn’t laying nicely like the others. It really wasn’t noticeable to anyone else other than me because I knew this dress better than anyone. It really wasn’t a biggie, but if I were doing it myself and paying attention to detail, it would have been better. The other items turned out great. So I would definitely use them for regular, everyday items but for very detailed and intricate items like wedding dresses, you may not get the perfect dress you were hoping for.
