Sweet Pickins’

Christina created arrangements for our rehearsal dinner and for the wedding itself. In addition, she provided an absolutely beautiful trellis on which she helped my mother-​in-​law hang a handmade chuppah. She consulted with me well in advance and once or twice throughout the year to ensure that we were in agreement about the arrangement styles. Christina demonstrated artistry and sophistication in all of the arrangements, but the bridal bouquet itself was one of the most beautiful I have ever seen– a true keepsake. She was a joy to work with, and I highly recommend her.

We met with Christina and booked our flowers for our wedding more than a year in advance. The meeting was very fun and she was so nice to work with. I left feeling 100% confident that our flowers would be beautiful! A year later, I was not disappointed! My bouquet was big and gorgeous, and the boutonnieres and corsages were beautiful and held up all day long. The ceremony decorations were just as I had envisioned when I spoke with her. I would recommend her to anyone with 100% confidence that she would do a beautiful job with your wedding.

I chose this florist because they were so helpful on the phone when I was looking for wedding flowers. I was planning a Yosemite wedding from Minnesota, so that really required me to trust the people I hired since I wouldn’t be able to meet with them beforehand.
Right off the bat, I had great vibes. The person who I talked to on the phone was SO helpful and had extensive knowledge of Yosemite and the things they can do out there. I first called when I was in the pre-​planning phase. When it came down to booking the florist, I went back to them and was treated the same way. They stayed on the phone with me for as long as I needed to answer a dozen or more questions. I sent them photos of the flowers I wanted. They said «no problem» and even gave me suggestions when I was unsure of what I wanted for certain things.
As the wedding day came closer, everything was good to go and I scheduled my delivery with them. On my wedding day they arrived on time and delivered the flowers that I envisioned in my head. They were beautiful, full, fresh and well put together. The bouquets lasted for days and held together with no problem. The girl who caught my bouquet still has hers and she brought it from California back home to Iowa.
Sweet Pickins delivers. They have an awesome website, which really shows you what kind of company they are. They have amazing customer service. They have answered every single question I had and made my «wedding planning from a distance» a breeze.
I highly recommend them.

As far as I was concerned, all of our wedding flowers (and candle arrangements) were fantastic! They lasted through the night (and for the next few days) and came together really well as a package. Christina was able to accommodate all my requests and guide me through the planning process. Everything was delivered on time and in great shape for our rehearsal dinner and wedding day. We stopped through the shop a few days in advance to drop off a bouquet holder, and Christina was SO friendly! She literally held my hand while she explained some things to me — what a sweetheart. The whole staff seemed to be having fun on the job, and they must have infused our flowers with their good vibes, because everything was lovely!
I’m going with 4.5 stars here — had to bring it down half a notch just because there were a couple of artificial flowers in one of my bouquets (had to supplement because the ones I wanted were late-​season so not a lot were available). This wasn’t a big deal at all — nobody could tell or anything — but it might have been nice to have some heads-​up on that. Like I said, though — no big deal — I still recommend Sweet Pickins’ without reservation!

I was very disappointed with this florist. Sweet Pickins has an extensive website and caters to many Yosemite weddings, so they were an obvious option. I drove 4 hours to make a special trip to see the store in person, and was surprisingly treated very rudely. The owner had very little patience with me and my friends, expected me to know exactly what I wanted, treated us like second-​class citizens.
After that trip, I knew she was not going to be easy to work with, not someone I’d want present on my wedding day. But I decided to give her another chance. A couple of months later, I called and asked for a phone consultation, sent her an email with pictures of what I liked, and got a price quote from her over the phone. During the whole conversation, her tone was of the same arrogance of, «We do weddings all around the world…» not someone who wanted to help with a personal wedding.
