First time I ordered for delivery about a month ago I was having a small get together and was told 45min. We waited a total of 1 hr and 25min. Since it was 830 pm on a Friday I let it slide. I ordered a small delivery on a Sunday at 9pm and was told again 45min. At 10:15 I called to check on the status and was told the delivery guy got backed up and was preparing to leave now. At 11pm the order was still not received and I called to cancel she was unapologetic and couldn’t understand why I was canceling the order. Will never order or dine in again.

When I went to high school at Cardozo this was the première pizza spot. The slices were the best and I would argue anyone who said otherwise. There was nothing like grabbing two slices and a drink after a long day of school. Fast forward 16 years and this place has fallen off. Quality of food was meh, staff wasn’t friendly, and the place itself looked as if it’s best days were left behind. I stopped in to get a slice this past weekend and was just so disappointed. With so many great places to eat it looks like Ginos has fallen off the list.

They are located a few blocks away from Cardozo high school, so this place gets pretty packed with teenagers during the weekdays. As pizzerias go, this one is not bad. In addition to pizza, they have a full menu of entrees. However, I am addicted to their Sicilian slice with pepperoni. As a matter of fact, the very thought makes me drool. Highly recommend. Just avoid the place when the kids are getting out of school.

Average pizza at an NYC price. Garlic knots are loaded with garlic and peppered with oregano, yet no flavor. But if you decide to sit and eat, they can give you some olive oil or dipping sauce for your knots. I only come here as a last minute resort now if I and the girlfriend are running late and only have a few minutes to eat while we drive. If you can spare 30 minutes, I think Dominoes might get you more — it’s definitely less healthy, but for your hard earned money, you’ll be full and more flavor satiated. I want to note, the staff are very hospitable and welcoming. Also saw Gino, old fella, at the counter and overheard some personal family matters. Sorry to hear about your loss old timer. Will be back when the time comes.

I used to love Gino’s, their grandma slices were the best! That being said… The past 3 times I’ve ordered have been terrible. 1. They took over an hour to deliver the wrong pizza which they then took another hour to re-make and deliver. 2. I once received a completely bland grandma pie. The pizza dough and the sauce were unseasoned, it tasted like wet cardboard. 3. I waited an hour and a half for a plain pie and chicken Marsala. I ended up canceling the order and ordering from dominos which came in 20min. Gino’s used to be great but now it’s a total disappointment. Not worth the money at all.

I ordered a mesclun salad with grilled chicken, the salad price said $ 9.95, total price with grilled chicken came up to $ 15.50. It cost an extra $ 5 to add grill chicken. After waiting 15mins for my salad when I got home and looked at it, the spring mix leaves were old, wilted and soggy. The grilled chicken was burnt. Even the bread that came with it was crispy and hard. The dressing had no flavor to it. So after paying $ 15 for a salad I had to throw it out. Very disappointed!

I’ve been going to Gino’s for over 20 years and always considered their food delicious. Over the past couple months tho, I have experienced less than average pizza which I find very unsatisfying. I’ve noticed that the pizza I’ve been ordering tastes very old. I’ve noticed the cheese on top is very dark as if they tried to reheat it too many times. After taking the food home, the cheese feels like cardboard. I reheat it in my oven which turns the cheese soft but still you can taste the oldness of the cheese. You would think they discard day old pizza but I guess they rather sell it the next day. They should cook fresh pizza.

Not only do they have great pizza but their food is good too. To top it off they have great service. This place never lets me down and my son and I go here at least 3 times a week.

I have been going to Gino’s almost my entire life but I have to say that yesterday, I was extremely disappointed. I called in an order for a large pie with half peppers and onions and half plain. My husband went in to pick it up and they charged him $ 24! I don’t know where they are getting their produce from, but there’s nothing that could justify that kind of highway robbery! We ordered it so he picked it up and paid that absurd price, but never again!

Ordered a Chicken Parmigiana Hero because they ran out of Chicken Rolls. When I ate it, there was almost no chicken in the sandwich. The cutlet was paper thin or almost non-existent. If they were to stand by their quality, this was certainly not it. I used to be a fan of this place since HS, but the quality has diminished, and the prices have gone up. I will not consider Gino’s as a place I would return to.

What happened to this place? I used to eat here all the time and the food is no longer the same. Ordered grilled chicken salad(tasted like they bought it from keyfood), buffalo chicken roll(there was no stuffing whatsoever), white slice(pretty decent but not work 4 bucks), and spinach pinwheel. Everything came out to 35 dollars… Overpriced. Oh not to mention delivery took over an hour when the host said it would only take 30~40 minutes. Sorry to say this but goodbye forever ginos.

Just came by for a quick slice. I always say this but secretly, I’m in search for a contending chicken Marsala slice. I saw that they had it, so what the heck! When it was finished heating, it really looked like it had a chance of beating my favorite chicken Marsala slice at knapp st. Crust looked crispy on the outside and I was sure of the fluffiness! Super cheesy, you can see the oils running down the cheese mounds and when I picked it up, it was pretty frikkin’ heavy! I was extremely excited for that first bite, to say the least lol. Took that first bite, dough was perfect, cheese was rich and stringy, chicken was tender, but I’ve gotta tell you, I was a little disappointed. I don’t mean to sound like a snob but i feel it needed more Marsala, a lot more, the Marsala wasn’t even subtle. I do have to say, it was a perfectly cooked pizza! Staff was okay. Lol they were just there. I wish they were at least a little excited about serving pizza. The guy cooking the pizza though, great stuff! I’m definitely coming back to try other things!

Good pizza and food. I’ve ordered here and it’s always been consistently tasteful. There always pretty busy so that’s a good sign of repeat costumers

I’ve been coming to Gino’s for over 10 years. Pizza is good, pastas are good(rigatoni with broccoli, garlic and oil is my favorite), and I enjoy their pasta fagiole and chicken soup. It’s pretty standard pizzeria food and for that I have to say it is a bit overpriced. My main problem is with their delivery… the meal and service I received tonight was horrible. It’s been a while since I’ve eaten here so maybe something has changed. I ordered a cup of pasta fagiole and a grilled chix/broccoli rab wrap with red peppers. Someone please explain to me how just those two things are $ 19? Insane. But I paid it because I was at work, hungry and didn’t want chinese. I work one block away from this place. I got my delivery and my wrap was so soggy and cold, to the point where I had to just take off the tortilla and pick at it that way. Cheese was rubbery like it gets when you heat it and then it gets cold again, couldn’t even eat it. The real kicker is that they deliver my food with NO spoon, fork or napkins. Then when I call back to ask them to please bring it, I get told okay, and then a few minutes later a call back telling me they’re so «swamped» that they can’t bring me any. I AMDOWNTHEBLOCK. So I’m stuck at work with nothing to eat my food with. That is horrible service. I will never order delivery from here again. Nor will I recommend it.

Picked up a chicken parm that was horrible. Paid $ 15.95 for soggy chicken that’s supposed to be fresh and crisp, pasta on side was undercooked and sauce tastes just like out of a can. I’m actually so irritated I went to the grocery and bought eggs, chicken, bread crumbs, mozzarella, flour and tomatoes to make it from scratch. If it weren’t raining right now I would just return the food to the establishment right now. Being a regular for their buffalo roll, I’m utterly disappointed. Photos posted paint a clear pic for what I mean above.

I’ve been coming to this pizza shop for many years. Every time I visit NY, I always make a stop for the pizza. However, the girl who is working the counter today, September 4, made the most ignorant and racist comment about how Asians all look the same because she couldn’t recognize the customer who made the previous order. It’s 2015. That’s not funny. It never was. You just sound stupid and uneducated. It’s a shame that a place making some really good pizza has to hire employees like that who can’t keep those thoughts to herself. Also, the pizza shop is located in bayside which has a large Asian community. If you can’t recognize which order belongs to which person, this job just isn’t right for you. I hope that the owner/management does something to rectify this situation.

Favorite neighborhood restaurant by far. We go almost every week. Our kids love the pizza, as they should. Best pizza, non brick oven, around. The veal sorrentino is one of my favorites. Recently I have been getting the veal chop. It is butterflied and pan fried then topped with tomatoes and basil. It is so big it falls off the plate. The side of spinach and potatoes are delicious. The spinach has just the right amount of garlic. If they have the Eggplant«meat» balls as a special, get them! I am a huge carnivore but love these. The staff is fantastic as well with Daniella being our regular. She always kids around with our twins and tells our son to «eat all of your pizza!»
