Ask for William, great service, thank you! We had a birthday gathering for a lady in our French club, everyone was very pleased.

They close at 3:00pm on Sundays but if you get there at 2:30pm they will kick you out! Guess why: because the kitchen close at 2:30pm! Then fix your freaking sing and put the restaurant close at 2:30pm!

2 stars because of the service was almost none existence! Stop by this place on a Saturday afternoon, it was not busy at all they had about 5 parties at that time. and they have at least 3 waiters, a tall guy, a short guy, and a girl. we got the short guy as our waiter, he took our order quickly, and after serving our food he did not show up not even once after that. he didn’t refill our water, didn’t come to ask if everything was ok. we sat there for a VERYLONG time waiting for the check book and a to-go box. We had to wave him down and ask for it, then we put the card in the check book and waited another 15 minutes, our waiter did not come to pick up the check book, while the other waiters were going back and forth to other tables frequently. We finally waited long enough and just decided to get up and go to the register and pay. the waiter wasn’t apologetic or give a fuck at all. it wasn’t a busy afternoon, i don’t know what was he so busy doing that he couldn’t do his job right. he had plenty of time chatting and laughing with his co workers but couldn’t come check on us once. Other than the service this is a cute little cottage looking restaurant hidden away in Oakland park. The lunch menu has lots stuff to choose from, i ordered a prosciutto panini with salad, and a cup of cap. the food and coffee was excellent, i’ll come back for the food and try more stuff from the menu, but i will choose my waiter carefully.

This was a great place right in my neighborhood to have a delicious repast of French cuisine and pretend I was back in Paris(or of late, Marseille). I had a yummy French sausage sandwich that was a good foot long, fresh chewy baguette and creamy brie cheese in the interior. Gina was my companion and she had a lovely stuffed chicken that oozed a nice gravy — bit of a take on Chicken Kiev and just as delicious. We earlier shared a combo plate that had both charcuterie and salad and that was every so yummy. I’m definitely going back — decent wine list and from what I’ve had so far, excellent food!

This place was surprisingly amazingly delicious! I got the french onion soup and that was the best soup that I have ever had. It was incredibly flavorful! The sandwiches that we got with the salads were incredible as well. I have to compliment them on their freshness with their ingredients. Everything came out tasting amazing, fresh, and well seasoned. The bakery items were just as good, the macaroons were delicious as well as the fruit tart that I had! Overall great! My only compliant would be the price, but for the quality, I’m not even mad.

This was a great find during a recent visit to South Florida. We stopped in for lunch on a weekday and I am so glad we did. Its a cute little spot with touches of France worked into the décor, very comfortable and cozy. After we sat in a booth, we noticed a few high top tables in the corner surrounded by a wall of wine bottles which looked just as cozy. I ordered the spinach pochette, which came with a delicious mushroom sauce and a side of mixed greens. It was amazing, nice flaky and buttery crust on the pochette and the mushroom sauce was rich and creamy. They also have individual pastries. desserts and assorted coffee/drinks for purchase/take out, however I was too full to indulge in any of those. I learned that they are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and I hope to come back during the next trip to the area.

Absolutely love this place! I’ve been coming here for years, usually for breakfast and it never disappoints. Service is fast, servers are attentive and they make you feel like you’re at home. The place is nice and cute, food is delicious. Forget Starbucks, their cappuccino is the best! For this specific visit I had the Rendezvous Breakfast. I ordered the eggs on the side and they had no problem with it. Again, it didn’t disappoint! If you are in the area, you have to visit this place.

Another fabulous meal at Rendezvous. We asked the waiter for his wine selection, a delicious pino noir for twenty bucks. The veal casserole was one of the best meals ever. I don’t understand why this restaurant isn’t packed on a weekday night. It is one of the most delicious bargains in town.

Excellent restaurant, would highly recommend. Quaint, relaxing atmosphere with lovely, live dinner music. The food is delicious and rich and extremely well priced. The sandwiches are made with fresh baked bread. A hidden gem in Ft. Lauderdale.

I would come back. We got the scrambled eggs, sausage, and potatoes with a croissant. Keep in mind when you get scrambled eggs made by the French way, they will be a little loose, moist, and have small curds. I ordered a almond croissant to go. My only complaint is that I wanted 1 egg scrambled for my little boy and they wouldn’t do it. They would only fry a single egg?!? So they make you buy 2 eggs for $ 7 instead of 1 egg for $ 3. I’d love to attaché a pic of the menu to show you what I’m talking about. Makes ZERO sense.

I ordered take out and absolutely loved it. I tried the quiche Loraine with their sautéed potatoes. This was one of the best quiches I’ve had and the potatoes were so light and delicious.

Do not order the crêpe! They are awful; worse crepes I’ve ever had, they are thick and have a weird taste. My mom had an omelet that was almost tasteless and my bf had the campagnard; he said it was pretty good but the eggs were not great. I also ordered the spinach quiche which was okay and filled me up. Now the service was also awful. I am completely aware that French service is different from American service; I actually do not have a problem with the way the French provide service but this was worse. Our waitress appeared rushed, barely checked up on us and was just plain rude. That is not how the French do things; trust me I know. My mom even laughed and said I bet they have no idea we are French. I sent the crêpe back and they did take it off the receipt so that was a positive. Needless to say I will never go back.

I have been here at least a dozen times. I can’t believe it took so long for me to write a review. The food is excellent. The service is always on point. My favorite thing here is the Tomato Basil soup. That soup is a must try. Everything else there is my second favorite, because everything is good. The crepes, the salads, the sandwiches, etc. Everything is full of flavor. You will never get a bland dish, so order anything from the menu and you will be happy.

I had the most astounding experience about a week ago. My partner and I met a friend for a late lunch at Rendezvous and I ordered the chicken pot pie. We have eaten at Rendezvous a number of times and have always been pleased. They serve what I would call French peasant food, delicious but not pretentious. For some reason I was thinking Marie Calendar when I ordered the chicken pot pie. Boy was I off. It turned out to be a rich dark nuanced curry chicken and vegetables that kept you coming back bite after bite like a crack addict, a rare experience for me in a restaurant dish. As always the service was crisp and the atmosphere homey.

It’s a little touch of France on Oakland Park. Even the staff and guests were speaking French… I started looking for my passport. We decided to try a Rendez-vous for a late lunch, around 2pm, although they do serve lunch until 5, with a dinner menu after 5pm. The menu featured many of the classic staples of French bistro repertoire. In addition to the menu there was a feature board highlighting the day’s specials several of which I may have to come back and try(beef bourguignon!). We both decided on a guilty pleasure — Ham Croque Monsieur. For those un familiar with this little gem, it’s basically a grilled ham and swiss filled and topped with béchamel sauce. Well it was 2pm and they were out of ham, so we tried turkey… oops, they only had one… ok I’ll try something else… oops, change of plan our lovely server(name unknown, she’s new) negotiated for us both to have turkey. First things first, it’s odd that they were«out» of something, but then it turns out they had it but just didn’t want to make it fresh. Big strike. What ever the reason it comes across badly. Anyways — we had the turkey and it was quite good, maybe a little more nutmeg in the béchamel but it was tasty none the less(as a side note, this is a knife and fork sandwich). While we both had the same entrée, we started with different soups. I had the tomato basil, while my companion had the French onion. The verdict is they were both outstanding. The onion soup was full– flavored with a heaping portion of melted cheese on top The Tomato soup was thick and rich, it almost verged on tomato sauce thick, but that is a welcome change from the thin watery soups I’ve come to expect in local restaurants. There was just enough sweetness and cream to balance the tomato acidity. A success on all counts. Before we left, we decided to check out the dessert case which was full of pastries, cakes and other goodies and according to the Frenchman behind the counter, everything is made there. Maybe next time will be soup and dessert…, maybe some beef stew… hmmm, too many choices.

Not alot of early morning breakfast places around us… mainly brunch places. We stumbled upon Rendezvous bakery and were not disappointed. I had the the pancakes on my first visit, which came with 1 blueberry and 1 chocolate chip and a cup of fresh berries(strawberries, blueberries, raspberries) and your choice of maple syrup or Nutella. My boyfriend has tried the Breakfast Campagnard which came with scrambled eggs, choice of bacon or sausage patties, a potato hash and a croissant. On our second visit together, we both decided to try the quiches. I had the Quiche Au Poulet Puffed pastry shell filled w/egg batter, chicken, tomatoes & herbs with a side salad. I was a little disappointed with it, was hoping for bolder flavors. It was a little runny and wasnt flavorful. Kind of wish they had a different cheese or something to have made the flavors pop more. Even the side salad was pretty basic. I think making it a nice arugula salad instead of a spring mix salad would have changed the dish. My boyfriend had the Quiche Lorraine-Puffed pastry shell filled w/egg batter, bacon, ham & swiss cheese. Same thing here. We felt the quiches were lacking flavor. And most likely will not be ordering them again. The service has been pretty great and the food reasonably priced. We’re happy to find another breakfast place close by.

We have passed this place many times and have thought about trying it, and today we finally did. And boy am I glad we did. From the moment we entered the doors, we were greeted by warm and friendly servers. We were seated promptly and served just as promptly. The food was divine. The portion sizes were a little overwhelming, but who doesn’t like a doggy-bag? We had the escargot to start, which was mouth watering. Then we moved on to the portobello chicken crêpe and the roasted turkey sandwich both of which were delicious. I definitely recommend this place for breakfast, lunch, brunch or dinner. You won’t be disappointed!
