I had an EXCELLENT experience with Amber.
Her shop is clean, inviting, and calming. Her friendly demeanor put me at ease right away and she is extremely knowledgeable about skin care.
The bikini wax itself was fabulous, she is quick yet very thorough and minimized my pain. I’ve been to about 6 waxing places for the same service and now, Amber is my go to.

I have always been afraid of waxing! I went to Amber right before my wedding in September, and haven’t looked back! Amber is so patient and answered every single question I had with my first wax. Amber is the best waxer I’ve had and I don’t plan on going to anyone else. She makes my Brazilians and underarm waxing as painless as possible and I always come out feeling fresh and unstoppable. Amber makes me feel very comfortable and I feel like I can talk to her about anything! I’ve already recommended her to friends and will continue to do so for anyone looking for waxing services.

I had a good experience here. I got a leg and bikini wax. She was as gentle as you can be for those services :) and very friendly. The only thing I would change is just that it took a long time compared to other places I’ve been. But I’d rather someone be thorough than careless. Prices are comparable too. I would recommend her to anyone needing similar services.

It’s been 4 years since my first review of Amber’s Essential Touch. I am a happy, and loyal client because she is amazing at what she does, and always makes me feel like a priority. Amber’s hands would have to fall off before I’d get my brazilian anywhere else. Her esthetics studio is comfortable, relaxing, and she makes you totally at ease. Don’t cheat yourself, come see Amber

I just went to Amber for my first Brazilian and I can’t rave about it enough. I was kind of scared to get my first one after hearing how badly it hurts and how awkward it is to bare all in front of a stranger. But Amber didn’t feel like a stranger, she was extremely nice and personable and clearly loved what she was doing! It hurt, but not as badly as I thought it would because she knows what she is doing. Everything was clean, she never double dipped, and it was overall a great experience!
100% worth the money and I’ll definitely be going back!

Ever since a mutual friend referred to me Amber’s, I’ve been going to her for the last 3.5 years. She does such a wonderful job and the place is very peaceful and the ambience is soothing and relaxing. She uses blue wax which is a Bonus! No pain at all!

Hands down the best, most pain-​free wax in all of the bay area. I dabbled with many estheticians before my first appointment with Amber and now I refuse to go anywhere else! Been going to her for a little under a year now, & am always so happy with how smooth and bump-​free my wax is afterwards. She also gives great skin advice and is just an all-​around personable and nice person.

Amber is very personable and seems very knowledgable about skin care. Her prices are fair and she is easy to schedule with. She is very friendly and creates a nice environment for waxing.
That said, the aftermath of my experience is not working out. I get married tomorrow and had my legs, bikini, arms, underarms and brows waxed on Monday. First, I think the wax was too hot because I was burned in several places on my body — I had red welts that crusted over and are flaking dead skin. Including my face! I have awful bumpy rashes all over my arms that I have never had before. She also didn’t have much of an order to her waxing. She’d do part of my bikini, then leg, then something else and as a result she missed patches of hair all over.
I liked her a lot, but am really disappointed that I have all these problems with my skin the day of my wedding.

I’ve been coming to Amber for some time now, at least 2 years. She’s an amazing! She incredibly warm and friendly, and for me that is a huge need when you’re spread wide open to get waxed. But she makes you comfortable with her ease and genuine vibe. She really knows her skin and somehow manages to make the waxing process almost pain free, I wouldn’t keep coming back if she wasn’t so skilled. And, I have a problem with ingrown hairs and she’s been able to help me find ways to manage that as well. I see her monthly and she get booked up regularly because she’s the best. I cannot echo her other clients enough, Amber is the one you want to see for your waxing and aesthetician needs!

I’ve been going to Amber for Brazilian and leg waxing services since 2008 (first at Simply Gorgeous) and Amber’s Essential Touch since 2010. For 25 years, I’ve gone to many salons around the U.S. and other parts of the world for waxing. I’ve gone to 4 star salons and spas as well as small local salons.
Amber is the VERY BEST quality! She is very professional, warm and friendly at the same time. Amber never gives you unnecessary pain because she is very experienced and talented. Her waxing is thorough & I’ve never had a bad reaction to her wax (like some others have).
Recently I started getting facials from Amber. I was hesitant at first because I’ve had so many excellent facials, and some not worth the $$. Amber’s facials are WONDERFUL! She has magic hands that give you the best massage. She is very knowledgable and your skin will GLOW!

I’ve been going to Amber for years for Brazilian waxes since my first one. From the beginning she has always done an amazing job while being a wonderful person to chat with. She even schedules by text and has very kindly bumped my appointments around at the last minute several times when life has gotten hectic on me. Her rates are reasonable, and I feel way better supporting a mom and sole proprietor than some fancy salon that takes a ridiculous cut and overcharges.
I’m moving to LA soon and I’m super bummed about having to find a new waxer! I will certainly be coming back to Amber whenever I’m in town, if only to say hello and give her a hug.
