Showed up at 9:30 for my appt. waited almost an hour while she worked on another girl
asked aurielle how long id need to wait, because I needed to be done at 1. I called her the night before and blew off my other stylist because she said she was making «specially arrangements» and she said that I would be done at 1. She assured me Id leave before 1. It is 3:30, I’ve missed my appointments. And she had the nerve to charge me $ 300 for a partial sew in. She said she’d give me $ 15 off. Wtf? NO SHAMPOO, STYLING, OR ANYTHING.
Then she didn’t have change for my $ 300
I was so angry and late I just left.
BUT BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER.
GROSSLY UNPROFESSIONAL.
She can’t even accept responsibility for her error.
When I called back to say I was unhappy she hung up in my face.

Aurielle is awesome! She did exactly what I asked for to the T! She’s a very warm person and makes you feel like you’ve known her for years. Chose Aurielle, shes the best! Trust me you wont be disappointed!

Aurielle is a wonderful stylist. She did a beautiful weave for my teenaged daughter. It is very natural looking and very pretty. Aurielle has a very sweet personality and she seems to love doing hair.

Good or bad, I have always respected consistency because for the most part you know what to expect.
Aurielle’s Imaging Studio has been a salon that has consistently delivered stellar professionalism, quality products and customer care. For nearly, a year Kaylie has been my stylist and she has proven to be a stylist that is knowledgeable about her craft. Whether creating mini-​twist on my natural hair to me rocking a straight «pressed-​out-​do,» she always delivers! Kaylie and Aurielle provide customers with an environment where creativity, exceptional service, good music and conversations flow. Kaylie is a gem and my natural hair and I are both appreciative of her skills. I highly recommend them.

I was lucky to have stumbled upon this shop! One of my cousins friends recommend it… and lucky for me she did.
I was lucky enough to make a same day appointment. The owner was very friendly, she made me feel at home. She even stayed late to accommodate me.
I can’t say enough about her, even though I had a last minute appointment my stylist didn’t rush. She took her time doing my hair, it turned out so pretty.
If you happen to be in the area and need to get your hair done and you are natural like I am you will be thankful that you did.
Next time when I come home for vacation I know that is one less thing that I will have to worry about. Because I know where I will be getting my hair done!
Again I can not say enough good things about about this place!

I was on my way up to the Bay Area from LA.
A loooooong, tiresome night and morning of crying (due to something that had happened)…and I felt I just needed to come up this way to see some of my closest family members. *Also, it is my nephew’s graduation party today — Saturday.
As I’m on my way up on this 6 hour drive, I thought to myself… maybe I can get my hair done. That should make me feel better. Although being that is was Friday, I was sure I wouldn’t find anyone. I call two shops that were booked for the next week. I then call Aurielle, who’s voice was sweet and calming, just as I needed at the moment. I didn’t need someone who sounded busy, irritated, and lastly-​like they didn’t want to do my hair.
She explained to me that she had a dinner engagement to be at, but if I could get to her within the next 15 – 20 minutes, she could do it. I was about 40 minutes away from her, and I still needed to buy hair…
5 minutes later, she calls me back to let me know she pushed back her uncle’s dinner party and was going to be able to meet me at the Beauty Supply Warehouse not too far from her salon.
…She directed me to Hair Heaven, haha.
From short to long to super long, I was intrigued with the many shades and colors-​just like Bobo’s in LA! After her being patient for about 30 minutes, we finally picked up 3 packs of Blonde and Brown 22″ Bohyme straight hair.
Off to her cute salon we went!
Aurielle was so patient with me. Always asking if I’m okay, and always checked and asked how did my head feel. Today, I definitely feel the braids (hahah!). But during the 4 hours I sat in the chair — it wasn’t her gossiping with me or even to the other ladies there in the salon. It’s definitely a relaxing place to be with her good soul music playing. We spoke about some of the most realist things in life and ways of living. We’re both spiritual in Chris so our conversations went on and on… and it was just heartwarming.
It was about 9:40PM when I left the salon, and I couldn’t have been happier. Everything painful I had been going through during the day, I didn’t feel at that moment.
For that moment, it was about ME…
Not only did my hair look beautiful, but I f-​e-​l-​t it, which is just as important. It’s one thing when someone complements us, but it means nothing if we’re not comfortable or feel it ourself.
I know there was a reason for meeting her, and I couldn’t be more pleased with her professionalism, caring persona, and the pride that she takes in her work. She was so sweet to fit me in, move her own personal schedule around, and meet me.
Thank you Aurielle. She will be touching me up when she comes to LA in 2 weeks, and she will definitely be the one in charge of my hair from now on!!!

I had been going to the same hairdresser for the past 3 years, however I stopped because of declining services. I did my homework on Unilocal and called 4 diffrent hairdresser’s in the Oakland area. I decided to go to Aurielle’s Image Studio, I’m very glad I did. Aurielle has a lovely spaces shop in East Oakland. I went for a full weave with my hair left out on top. It turned out beautiful. Looks very natural. Aurielle also was very sweet but professional. I highly recommend Aurielle’s Imaging Studio’s.

I love this hair salon, not only does it has a great atmosphere but great customer service. Plus Aurielle, does a great job with natural hair care maintainence and styling. I love the way my hair feels and looks after coming here.

I enjoy this hair studio for two main reasons… Aurielle has such a positive vibe that fills up the entire space and she is good stylist. My hair is well taken care of when I come here and I leave looking fly. I definitely recommend Aurielle’s Imaging Studio for your beauty needs

Hello everyone,
I hope this review finds you in good spirits! I want to take the time to share my experiences at Aurielle’s Imaging Studio. First off, I actually found out about this place through Unilocal! I was living in Atlanta at the time and I was visiting family and friends in California. My hair was natural, but I had a weave at the time and I washed it a few times to many and it was absolutely time to get those tracks tightened again. I am absolutely picky about my hair and even more picky when it comes to the person I allow to touch my hair! So I spent one evening on Google to see who in the Bay Area had the best reviews, but wasn’t going to break my pockets for the service that I wanted (tightened tracks, wash and style).
After looking at salon websites that were ranked «high» on Google, calling around and not only getting price quotes but also determining the soonest I was going to be able to set an appointment, I was quite frustrated with my slim pickings. My friend recommended that I come to Unilocal instead, so I did and I was able to see «reviews» from real people vs. just looking at fancy websites and salons who had the money to have the top spot on Google! That’s where I saw several reviews from the same salon appear… Aurielle’s Imaging Studio. I called to find out how soon I could get an appointment and what it would cost… long story short, I ended up in her chair the next morning! Aurielle was kind enough to not just tighten my tracks but she recommended I take the whole thing down and just start over. I was skeptical at first one because I didn’t want to be there all day and I didn’t want to spend an arm and a leg. But boy did she take care of me!
My hair is fairly long and REALLY thick, and as a result, it is usually difficult for stylists to do sew-​ins without being able to feel the braids. BUT, when Aurielle was done with me, I was floored that I was able to run my hands over my head and not feel a thing! That weave lasted longer even through the washes. Her friendly conversation, her work ethic and her commitment to ensuring every client was in and out according to the time she set with them was so refreshing, I literally would wait to get my hair done and fly from Atlanta to the Bay Area just to get my hair done by her! That was probably around 2009 and I’ve been a fan of her and her services ever since!
Most recently, late June 2013 to be exact, Aurielle was my hair sponsor for a bikini bodybuilding competition that I was in and was featured on ESPN! I had a 22′ weave put in where she provided a custom color, dark brown faded into a honey blond ombré! It was probably the happiest I had ever been with my weave and it was also a really huge goal that she helped me to obtain and as a result, Aurielle has become a great friend to me! Aurielle is very dedicated to staying abreast of the trends and techniques in the cosmetology industry, but she is also an expert at personalizing her services to ensure her clients leave looking AND feeling good. She isn’t satisfied if you aren’t and that is really important!
If you are ever in the Bay Area and looking for hair care services, there is no other place to go besides Aurielle’s Imaging Studio!!!

It has taken quite a while for me to post this review because I have been contemplating how many stars to award Auriell’s Imaging Studio, either 4 or 5 for you curious folks!
First and foremost I must say that Aurielle is a wonderful woman: great personality, honest, talented, and very professional. Her studio is clean and very cute, think old New Orleans style, and exudes a friendly environment.
My daughter’s hair has never been styled to perfection, and her father and I were extremely impressed with Auriell’s skill and technique. Ps. My baby can’t wait to go back! :)
My own hair was also lovely, and I received a many compliments on the weeks following our visit to Auriell’s salon. Her prices are fair, and the quality of work speaks for its self. I hope to be able to visit again in the near future, to try out a few more hairstyles!

Although they have moved to another location, Aurielle Imaging Studios continues to provide great service and education to women and men interested in maintaining natural beauty. I’m extremely pleased with Aurielles expertise in her craft as well as her skill set to seek out other women who would carry out her vision of natural beauty. Kailey Norris is absolutely a fav. She has an incredible gallery of natural looks that would have you speechless and eagered to continue to explore further into her craftsmanship. Yes and oh Yes, I am a #1 fan and once you get a taste, I’m sure you will be hooked too!

I moved to the Bay area 4 years ago and felt I was at a dead end when it came to finding a hair stylist that could be the one. I met Aurielle last year and have felt truly blessed after so many disappointments. Aurielle is very professional and genuine. She does an amazing job and cares about what her clients want and how they feel. I can sit in her chair and let her go for it with my hair and not worry about the outcome. That is the BEST hairstylist anyone could ask for. I look forward to every visit.

I feel like a supermodel right now! My hair is bouncing everywhere!!! I love Aurielle’s Imaging Studio. She’s very professional, punctual and knowledgeable about hair. I haven’t permed my hair in years… The way she does a wash n press leaves people thinking that 1. my hair is permed and 1. perhaps it’s a weave. Nope its not, but when I do get a weave best believe Aurielle will be doing it! The location is convenient and prices are reasonable. Can’t praise her enough, she does a really great job on my hair. Absolutely love it!!!

Aurielle introduced me to natural hair, and showed me how to care and nurture my hair. She makes you LOVE your hair! I highly reccomend and thanks Auri!

So I have been a client of Aurielle’s for about a year now. The most important thing I can appreciate about this business woman that she is consistently professional and on-​time and know how to listen and won’t rest until you are satisfied with the finished product. For women who frequent the salon ofte… we don’t like to wait to get in the chair and spend hours and hours in the salon. After a few visits I was hooked to this stylist-​you walk in and she is waiting for you and your appt. is your appt. AIS reminds me of a secret oasis from the hustle and bustle of the city streets… Its quiet and relaxing… be prepared to come in one way and go out like the door looking like a million bucks. Aurielle thank you for meeting the demand of the professionals-​by being on top of your game and getting us in and out. i totally recommend this stylist for the «women and men on the go and don’t have time to be wasting.»

I really wanted to try a weave but was hesitant because my hair is natural (unprocessed). After much internal debate I went here last week for a straight weave. Not only did I receive outstanding A class service but the environment was relaxing and «drama» free. Aurielle was very professional and friendly and she did a wonderful job on my weave (it looks so natural!). For example, I went to SF yesterday and my «hair» was blowing in the wind and when I went to do a «bathroom check» no tracks were showing. I highly recommend her for women who do not want to look cheap.
